PROGRAM VERSION UPGRADE CARRIED OUT IN THE PWB OF THE ICU.

1.Model Name: JX-8200 (only for machines bound for the overseas market destinations).

2.General: A program version upgrade has been carried out in the PWB of the ICU. The PPOS

program has been upgraded to Ver. 980318. This action has been carried out as a measure to alleviate problems of start-up malfunctions (CPU temperature malfunctions) which have been occurring when the electrical current is applied to the printer.

3.Description: The version upgrade has been carried out in the ICU program (OTPROM), enabling the

program to organize the initialization codes of the Status Register during boot-up operations.

PCL 970825 PCL 970825 (no change carried out)

Caution: When carrying out replacement operations, the OTPROMs of IC22 andIC23 should both be replaced.

4.Action: From 1998 April production.
