MEASURE TO ALLEVIATE PROBLEMS OF ABNORMAL NOISE IN THE PAPER FEED UNIT.

1.Model Name: A3JX-8200 AL/AU/BA/BG/BK

2.General: There was a possibility of abnormal noise being emitted from the paper feed unit. As a

measure to alleviate this problem, a change has been carried out in the shape of the paper feed cover, and the addition of parts has been carried out.

3.Description: <1> A change has been carried out in the paper feed cover (PCOVP0049GCZ1 → Z2)

There were cases whereby there was obstruction between the PC roller and the paper feed cover, causing abnormal noise to be emitted. As a measure to alleviate this problem a portion of the paper feed cover has been cut.

<2> The addition of one (1) plastic slider (LX-WZ2011SCZZ) has been carried out.

There were cases whereby there was contact between the PU idle gear and the washer of the PU brake, causing abnormal noise to be emitted. As a measure to alleviate this problem, the addition of a plastic slider has been carried out to prevent the two parts from coming in contact with each other.

<3> A change has been carried out in the washer:

<Before the change: XWHSD60-10130> → <After the change: XWHSD60-05130> A change in the thickness of the washer has been carried out. This action has been carried out as a measure to secure and maintain a proper gap between the PU idle gear and the PU brake. A thickness of 1.0 has been changed to a thickness of 0.5.

4.Action: <1> Paper feed cover:PCOVP0049GCZ2 Running change from 1997 May production.
