1. Change in the outer diameter of the paper delivery lock shaft carried out as
a measure to improve productivity.
1.Model Name: AR-280/285/335
2.General: A change has been carried out in the outer diameter of the paper delivery lock shaft
used in the 2-bin paper delivery reversion unit of the models listed above. The diameter
of the lock shaft has been changed from ø 8 to ø 6. This action has been carried out as
a measure to improve productivity. Furthermore, in accordance with the change
described above, a change has been carried out in the protect tube and the lock
release lever, as well as the lock release lever fixing screw.
3.Action: From the 1st lot of 1998 September production.
2. Measure to alleviate problems of loosening screws caused by thermal contractions.
1.Model Name: AR-280/285/335
2.General: There have been problems of loosening screws caused by thermal contracting of the
plastic inside the fusing units of the models listed above. As a measure to alleviate
these problems, a change has been carried out in the screws. Please refer to the figure
provided for details concerning the locations of the changes described above.

3. Measure to improve problems of noise.
1.Model Name: AR-280/285/335 (only for machines bound for the 200 V series destinations).
2.General: A protect sheet has been attached to the square pipes on the lower side of the
operations panel. This action has been carried out as a measure to improve problems
of noise. By pressing the harness to the operations panel and the ferrite core against
the frame, a change occurs in the level of noise.
