E7-03 / E7-11 TROUBLES

2.General: An E7-03 or an E7-11 trouble may occur due to the vibration generated from the HDD

(Hard Disk). The following measures have been taken to correct the problems.

3.Description: E7-03 TROUBLE

Due to the vibration created by the HDD (Hard Disk) , a scanning failure occurs and it sometimes leads a machine to show an E7-03 trouble. Although such a scanning failure is rare to occur. As a measure to correct the problem, the HDD Protective Sheet has been added to the back of the Dark Box B (PG5-4) to alleviate the vibration generated by the HDD.

4.Action: From August 1998 production.

5.Description: E7-11 TROUBLE

Due to the vibrations generated by the HDD, the Dark Box Cover A (PG5-11) and the Dark Box Cover B (PG5-4), the CCD PWB harness FFC1/FFC2 (PG5-15,16) become contacted poorly. It then causes an E7-11 trouble in some rare cases. In order to correct the problem, the method of fitting the CCD PWB harness FFC1/FFC2 has been changed as described in the diagram below.
