1. Change carried out in the binding method of the AC harness line.
1.Model Name: AR-280/285/335 (only for machines bound for the 200 V series market destinations)
2.General: The AC harness line is rather thick, and is therefore very difficult to bind using a wire
saddle. The creates the possibility of the AC harness line coming into contact with the
fusing gear. As a measure to alleviate this problem, the addition of a wire band has
been carried out.
Only for machines bound for the 200 series

The AC harness and the main harness are
bound between the fusing drawer connector and
the fusing gear.
(Care should be exercised to insure that contact
is not made with either the lead wire or the
fusing gear.)

2. Measure to alleviate problems of screws that do not fully secure properly.
1.Model Name: AR-280/285/335
2.General: There have been some problems of screws that do not fully secure properly during
assembly operations carried out on the multi tray unit. As a measure to alleviate this
problem, a change has been carried out in the fixing screws, and longer screws are
now being used.

3. Change in the 3P terminal base harness carried out in accordance with a measure
to comply with EMI standards.
1.Model Name: AR-280/285/335 (only for machines bound for the 200 V series market destinations)
2.General: The addition of a ferrite core was carried out to the AC PWB as a measure to comply
with EMI standards. In accordance with this change, the harness of the 3P terminal
base used only in the 200 V series has been newly established.
3.Action: From 1998 mid-June production.
4. Measure to improve conditions of noise.
1.Model Name: AR-280/285/335 (only for machines bound for the AB series market destinations)
2.General: The addition of noise insulation material has been carried out as a measure to improve
conditions of noise coming from the right door and the paper delivery reversion section.

2.General: There was a possibility of contact occurring between the battery of the ICU PWB and
the ICU cover. As a measure to alleviate this problem, the addition of a protect sheet
has been carried out to the ICU cover.
