2.General: A change has been carried out in a portion of the screws used in the optical unit (in the
locations marked with a "O" in the figure shown below). This action has been carried
out as a measure to improve productivity.
3.Action: From the start of 1998 June production.
2. Measure to alleviate problems of oil oozing from the bushing in the developing unit.
1.Model Name: AR-5132
2.General: There have been problems of oil oozing from the bushing section of the developing unit
which have occurred very rarely, and in accordance with the installation conditions of
the machine. This problem, when it occurs, leads to other problems such as black
streaks and other image trouble. As a measure to alleviate this problem, a change has
been carried out in the material of the bushing.
3.Action: From 1998 mid-June production.

2.General: There was a possibility of the optional printer board being attached in such a way that it
extended past the protect sheet of the optical section when attaching the ICU cover. As
a measure to alleviate this problem the addition of an ICU cover sheet has been carried
out.
