Step Detail
A vertical power strip is used to supply
power to devices needing AC power.
Note: A vertical power strip can be
installed on either side of the cabinet.
1. Open the rear door of the cabinet and
choose a location for the vertical power
strip to be mounted.
2. Install the spring nuts into the cabinet
frame. Fit the spring nuts into the
slotted part of the cabinet extrusion with
the spring going into the opening first.
Turn the spring nut 90 degrees,
clockwise, to secure it into place.
3. Place the vertical power strip into the
rack cabinet. Align the mounting holes
top and bottom over the spring nuts.
4. Secure the vertical power strip to the
cabinet frame using (2) 1/4-20 x 3/8
inch cap screws using a 3/16 inch Allen
wrench to tighten the cap screws.
5. Connect all necessary cables to the
facilities power grid or UPS.
6. Check the function of the vertical power
strip. Connect a device to each
receptical on the vertical power strip to
check for power.
Note: The vertical power strip has a
resettable circuit breaker. When the
breaker trips the center button will extend
from the breaker housing. Depress the
button back in to reset.
