DUST CUP/FILTERS/ACCESSORIES
Before tur ning on the vacuum: 29 M ake sure dust cup and fi lter are in place afte r routine maintena nce. 30 M ake sure accessori es are free of blocka ges and keep open ings away from face an d body. 31 Use on ly Shark® brand fi lters and access ories. Using oth er brands will void wa rranty.

adapter into a socket. The charging indicator light will blink. Light will go out when fully charged.
NOTE: Lithium­ion battery takes approximately 4 hours to charge completely.

2. Run the nozzle over the surface to be cleaned.
3. To empty dust cup, hold your vacuum over a bin.
4. Press the easy empty button to release the debris.

However, at Shark we are so confident about the quality of our products that we give you an additional manufacturer's guarantee of up to two years ( 1 year as standard plus 1 year when you register). These terms and conditions relate to our manufac turer's guarantee only

How do I register my extend ed Shark® gu arantee?
You can register your guarantee online within 28 days of purchase. To save time, you'll need the following information about your machine:

The man ufacturer's guarantee covers your produc t for 12 months (or for 2 year s,
if registered) starting on the date of delivery.
Please keep your receipt at all times. Should you nee d to use your guarante e (standard 1 year or further 1 year extended) we will need your receipt to verify the information you have supplied to us is correct. The inability to produce a valid receipt may invalidate your guarantee.
How long are new Shark machines guaranteed for?
Our confidence in our design and quality control means that your new Shark vacuum cleane r is guaranteed for a total of two years (12 months plus an extended guarantee of 1 year).
What is covered by th e free Shark guarantee?
Repair or replacement of your Shark machine (at Shark 's discretion to decide whether to replace or repair) including all parts and labour. A Shark guarantee is in a ddition to your legal rights as a consum er.
What is not covered by the free Sha rk guarantee? 1 Blockages - For details of how to unblock your vacuum cleaner, please refer to th e

2 Normal wear and tear of parts which require regular maintenance and/or replaceme nt to
ensure the prope r functioning of your unit.
3 Accidental damage, fault s cause d by negligent use or care, misuse, neglect, careless
operation or handling of the vacuum cleaner which is n ot in accordance with the Shark Instructions supplied with your machine.
4 Use of the vacuum cleaner for anything other than normal domestic household purp oses. 5 Use of part s not asse mbled o r installed in accordance with the operating instruc tions. 6 Use of parts and accessories which are not Shark spares. 7 Fault y installation (except where installed by Shark). Shark spares and accessories are developed by the same engineers who developed your Shark vacuum. You'll find a full range of Shark spares, replace ment parts and accessories for all Shark machines at www.sharkclean.co.uk.
Please rememb er that using non-Shark spares may invalidate your manufacturer's guarantee. However, your statutory rights are unaected.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Solution
The vacuum will not operate
Motorised brush will not work
Vacuum will not pick up or suction is weak
Dust is escaping from the vacuum
Battery needs to be recharged. Lithium-ion battery takes approximately 4 hours to charge completely.
Try using a dierent socket to charge.
The metal contact pins on the motorised brush are not in contact with the connector slots on the vacuum. Remove the motorised brush and reinsert firmly into the air-intake nozzle.
The motorised brush is blocked. Carefully remove all lint, hair, or other debris from the motorised brush.
Dust cup is full. Empty the dust cup.
Filters need cleaning or replacement. Clean or replace the filters.
Vacuum needs to be recharged.
Empty the dust cup.
The filters are not installed correctly. Remove filters, then reinstall them.
A filter has a hole or a puncture and needs to be replaced.
An obstruction may be blocking the dust cup lid, keeping it from closing correctly. Clear any obstructions and ensure the lid is completely closed.

Press the power button. If the unit doesn't turn on, then the battery power is too low. Please charge before use.
To charge the vacuum, connect charging cord to unit and plug into the socket. The light will fade in and out slowly as the vacuum charges.
If the light flashes quickly while the unit is in use, the battery power is low. Recharge the unit.
When the vacuum is fully charged, the indicator light will illuminate steadily, then turn o. (It takes approximately 4 hours for a full charge).
If the wrong charger is used, the light will blink five times and then stop. Use the included charger.
BATTERY REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL
This pro duct uses a rechargeab le and reusable lithium -ion bat tery. When the battery no lon ger holds a charg e, it should be rem oved from th e vacuum and recycled. DO NOT incine rate or com post the batter y.
1. Press the dust cup release button and pull out the dust cup.
2. Carefully remove the filter frame.
When your lithium-ion battery needs to be replaced, dispose of it or recycle it in accordance with local ordinances or regulations. In some areas, it is illegal to place spent lithium-ion batteries in the bin or in a municipal solid waste stream. Return spent battery to an authorized recycling center or to retailer for recycling. Contact your local recycling center for information on where to drop o the spentbattery.
3. To open and empty the dust cup, hold it over the bin, then press the easy empty button (complete instructions on reverse side).
4. Hand-wash the filters in cold water and let them air-dry for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. Air-dry only. DO NOT use a hair dryer or clothes dryer.
5. To clean the interior of the dust cup, rinse it with water. Place

it on its side with the lid open to air-dry for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.
6. When filters are dry, reinsert them into the filter frame (foam first), reinstall the filter frame into the dust cup, then reattach the dust cup.
DO NOT wash any parts or accessories in a dishwasher.
