The definitions of the product models involved in this manual are

Power level: 50kW / 100kWh
SMT-100kWh: The maximum output power is 50kW, compatible with
30kW. The nominal capacity of the battery system is 100kWh.
1.3 Applicable personnel

2 Safety instructions
2.1 Safety instructions
This section describes general safety precautions that need to be
taken into account when operating industrial and commercial energy
storage systems. For the safety instructions in the specific use and

should be powered in strict accordance with the steps in this manual.
2.2 Precautions during operation
2.2.1 Manual storage
This manual contains important information on the operation of
industrial and commercial energy storage. Please read this manual
carefully before operating industrial and commercial energy storage.
Please operate industrial and commercial energy storage products
strictly in accordance with the description in this manual; otherwise, it
may cause equipment damage, personal injury and property damage.
This manual should be properly kept to ensure that maintenance,
inspection and other operators can obtain it at any time.
2.2.2 Staff requirements
Only professional electricians or qualified personnel can perform
various operations on this product.
The operator should be fully familiar with the composition and
working principle of the entire energy storage system.
The operator should be fully familiar with the relevant standards of
the country / region where the project is located.
2.2.3 Body identification protection
The warning signs on the body of the energy storage product and
inside the cabinet contain important information for safe operation of
the energy storage system. No artificial tearing or damage!

2.2.4 Security warning sign settings
When carrying out operations such as installation, daily maintenance,
and overhaul of industrial and commercial energy storage, in order to
prevent irrelevant personnel from approaching and mishandling or

operation area.
· After maintenance or overhaul operations are completed, be sure
to pull out the cabinet door key and keep it properly.
2.2.5 Requirements for escape routes
To ensure that staff can be evacuated quickly in the event of an
accident, please observe the following:

In the entire process of maintenance, repair and other operations
of the energy storage system, it is necessary to ensure that the escape
channel is completely unblocked.
·
It is strictly forbidden to pile up debris in the escape channel or
occupy the escape channel in any form.
2.2.6 Energy storage battery protection
For energy storage power stations, the voltage between the positive
and negative poles of the energy storage battery pack is very high. If
accidentally touched, there is a risk of electric shock or even death.

Fatal high voltage exists between the positive and negative poles of
the energy storage battery pack!
•
When maintaining the equipment, ensure that the connection
between the energy storage converter and the energy storage battery
pack is completely disconnected.
•Set up warning signs at the disconnection to ensure that they will
not reconnect accidentally.
Danger
There is high voltage in the device. Accidental contact may cause fatal
electric shock. Therefore, when carrying out live measurement, you
should:
•
Do protective work (such as wearing insulated gloves, etc.).
• Must be accompanied to ensure personal safety.
Warning
After both the AC and DC sides of the energy storage system are
disconnected, be sure to wait 15 minutes before opening the rear
door to perform maintenance or repairs on the power distribution
part.

Use insulating material to cover the parts that may be live near
operating parts.

In the whole process of maintenance and repair, it is necessary to
ensure that the escape channel is completely unblocked.
2.2.9 Other considerations
In addition, the following protective or emergency measures should
be taken according to site needs:
•
When carrying out various operations such as maintenance and
repair of the equipment, relevant personnel should take appropriate
protective measures, such as wearing insulated wires and wearing
burn-resistant gloves, as needed.
• Adopt all necessary auxiliary measures to ensure the safety of
personnel and equipment.

3.1 System Introduction
3.1.1 Development Prospects
Energy storage technology has been considered an important part of
the six major transformations of
"production-generation-transmission-distribution-use-storage" during
the operation of the power grid. After the appointment of energy
storage replacement in the system, it can effectively perform demand
management, eliminate more efficient use of power equipment,
reduce costs, and promote the application of renewable energy, or as
a way to improve system operation stability and supplement load
changes. This method is one of the important temporary solutions to
new energy wind power and photovoltaic. Therefore, the use of
energy storage technology is of great strategic significance.

3.2 Composition of Energy Storage System
Commercial grade energy storage systems are mainly composed of
lithium battery energy storage units, energy storage converters,
transformers, battery management systems, energy management
systems, and cabinet dynamic ring temperature control systems. The
entire system is controlled and managed by the BMU battery
management system and the BSC battery energy control system,
coordinating the work of various components such as LFP batteries,
PCS, etc., to achieve the energy absorption and release of the entire
industrial and commercial energy storage system, and provide a total
solution for energy storage and release. Figure 3-2 shows the system
