The M54/74HC283 isa highspeed CMOS4-BITBINARY FULL ADDER fabricated in silicon gate
C2MOStechnology. Ithasthesamehighspeedperformance of LSTTL combined with true CMOS low
powerconsumption.
Sum (Σ) outputs are providedfor each bitand a resultant carry(C4) isobtained fromthefourthbit.This
adderfeaturesfullinternallookahead acrossallfour
bits. A 4 x n binary adder is easily built up bycascadingwithout any additionallogic.
All inputs are equipped with protection circuits
against static discharge and transient excess voltage.
