has either a power cord wind-up storage or a cord storage compartment. Always take the power cord out of its storage compartment and unwind it to its full length before use. Wind up or restore the power cord to the storage compartment only after the waffle iron has cooled down completely.
Before initial use
The waffle iron should be preheated for ten minutes with the lids closed. This will remove the smell typically encountered when first switching on the waffle iron. Please ensure sufficient ventilation. (If your waffle iron has an adjustable thermostat control, turn it to its highest setting). Clean the appliance afterwards as described in Cleaning and Care.
Operation
-
Close the lids.
-
Plug in the appliance.
-
If your waffle iron has an adjustable thermostat control, turn it to position 4.
-
Preheat the waffle iron for about eight minutes. It is then ready for use.
-
Models with single pilot light: The pilot light will show while the waffle iron is preheating. Once the optimum temperature is reached, the pilot light will go out.
-
Models with double pilot lights: The red indicator light will show while the waffle iron is preheating. Once the optimum temperature is reached, the green light will show and the red light will go out.
-
Open the two lids.

Before use, the non-stick plates should be lightly greased with a small amount of oil or fat that is specifically intended for frying and may be safely heated to high temperatures.
-
Put the dough on the middle of the lower plate.
-
Close the upper lid and press down
gently to help spread the dough evenly.
-
The baking time is in general 2 - 3 minutes, depending on the nature of the dough as well as the selected temperature.
-
Models with double pilot lights: After placing the dough in the waffle iron, the red indicator light will show after a short period of time. Once the baking process is finished, the red light will be replaced by the green one.
