Dear Customer
Before using the appliance, the user should
read the following instructions carefully.
Important hints
● Transport and storage of this unit
without batteries inserted before sale
may cause faulty readings when the
scales are used for the first time.
However, these faulty readings will not
occur once batteries have been installed
and the scales have been used 3 or 4
times.
● Before the scales are used for the first
time, the protective strip between the
battery terminals and connectors in the
battery compartment must be removed.
● If repairs are needed, please send the
appliance to one of our customer service
departments. The address can be found
in the appendix to this manual.
● Do not expose the unit to rough handling
or jolting.
● Do not clean the unit with water and do
not immerse it in water.
● Display range:
0.6 kg - 150 kg
1.2 lb - 330 lb
0 st : 1
1
/4lb - 24 st
The maximum load capacity of 150 kg /
330 lb / 24 st must not be exceeded. If it is
exceeded, the symbol ‘Err’ will appear in
the display.
● These bathroom scales are designed for
household use and are not suitable for
medical or commercial applications; the
unit is not officially calibrated.
Operation
-
Position the scales on a firm and level
surface. Using them on a soft, unstable or
uneven surface may result in unreliable
readings.
-
A display format in ‘kg’, ‘lb’ or ‘st’ can be
selected. The switch for changing the
display format is located underneath the
unit.
-
To activate the unit, tap the scales once
with your foot.
-
Wait until the ‘8’ symbol has moved from
left to right once across the display, and is
replaced by the steady symbol ‘0.0’ (or ‘0:
0’ if ‘stones’ is selected) before stepping
on to the scales.
If you do not step on, the unit will switch
off automatically after a few seconds.
-
Remain standing on the scales until your
weight is displayed.
-
After use, the unit will automatically
switch off.
Batteries
-
As soon as the symbol ‘Lo’ appears on
the display, the batteries must be
replaced.
-
To insert or replace both batteries, open
the battery compartment located
underneath the unit. When replacing
batteries, always observe the correct
polarity.
The symbol (+) must face upwards.
-
Use only 3V lithium button-cell batteries
type C R2032.
-
Remember to protect the environment.
Never dispose of old batteries in
domestic garbage. Old batteries must be
disposed of through the proper local
special garbage collection points.
Cleaning and care
● The weighing surface may be wiped with
a soft or slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Special, commercially available cleaning
agents for glass may also be used.
● Do not use any abrasives, harsh cleaning
solutions or aggressive solvents for
cleaning.
