Dear Customer
Before using the appliance, the user should read the following instructions carefully.
Important hints
Transport and storage of this unit
without batteries inserted before sale may cause faulty readings when the scales are used for the first time. However, these faulty readings will not occur once batteries have been installed and the scales have been used 3 or 4 times.
Before the scales are used for the first
time, the protective strip between the battery terminals and connectors in the battery compartment must be removed.
If repairs are needed, please send the
appliance to one of our customer service departments. The address can be found in the appendix to this manual.
Do not expose the unit to rough handling
or jolting.
Do not clean the unit with water and do
not immerse it in water.

/4lb - 24 st The maximum load capacity of 150 kg / 330 lb / 24 st must not be exceeded. If it is exceeded, the symbol ‘Err’ will appear in the display.
These bathroom scales are designed for
household use and are not suitable for medical or commercial applications; the unit is not officially calibrated.
Operation

Position the scales on a firm and level surface. Using them on a soft, unstable or uneven surface may result in unreliable readings.

A display format in ‘kg’, ‘lb’ or ‘st’ can be
selected. The switch for changing the display format is located underneath the unit.

To activate the unit, tap the scales once with your foot.

Wait until the ‘8’ symbol has moved from left to right once across the display, and is replaced by the steady symbol ‘0.0’ (or ‘0: 0’ if ‘stones’ is selected) before stepping on to the scales. If you do not step on, the unit will switch off automatically after a few seconds.

Remain standing on the scales until your weight is displayed.

After use, the unit will automatically switch off.
Batteries

As soon as the symbol ‘Lo’ appears on the display, the batteries must be replaced.

To insert or replace both batteries, open the battery compartment located underneath the unit. When replacing batteries, always observe the correct polarity. The symbol (+) must face upwards.

Use only 3V lithium button-cell batteries type C R2032.

Remember to protect the environment. Never dispose of old batteries in domestic garbage. Old batteries must be disposed of through the proper local special garbage collection points.
Cleaning and care
The weighing surface may be wiped with
a soft or slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Special, commercially available cleaning agents for glass may also be used.
Do not use any abrasives, harsh cleaning
solutions or aggressive solvents for cleaning.

Disposal
Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage; this should only be done through public collection points.
Guarantee
This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse. This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return. If within the guarantee period, please also provide the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
