Important safety instructions
Before the appliance is used, the main
body as well as any attachments fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. If the appliance, for instance, has been dropped onto a hard surface, it must no longer be used: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on its operational safety.
If the appliance is being used in a
bathroom, it must be positioned outside the 0.6 m area (see diagram) in such a way that the rotary control cannot be reached by anyone using the shower or bath.
Additional protection is provided by
fitting an earth-leakage circuit-breaker, with a rated tripping current not exceeding 30mA, into your bathroom installation. Please consult a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to charge or by any other
means reactivate the batteries of the pedicure unit; never take batteries apart, or burn or short-circuit them.
Always remove the batteries from the
pedicure unit once they are exhausted, and also during extended periods of nonuse. This will prevent damage from leakage.
All batteries in the pedicure unit should
be replaced at the same time. Do not use batteries of different types or brands, or those of different capacities.
Do not leave the foot massager
unattended while it is switched on, nor let children use it without supervision.
Do not stand on the foot massager; use it
only while sitting.
The foot massager becomes hot during
use. Those who are over-sensitive to heat should take extreme care when using the appliance.
Do not operate the foot massager near a
sink, shower or bath.
This appliance is intended for domestic
use only and is not designed for medical or commercial applications.
Always switch the foot massager off and
remove the plug from the wall socket after use and during cleaning, and also in case of any malfunction. When removing the plug from the wall socket, ensure that your hands are dry.
The power cord should be regularly
examined for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used.

Foot massager
General information
A foot massage helps to reduce tension in muscle and tissue areas, enhancing the blood circulation and simultaneously stimulating the metabolic process, thus cleansing the body tissue of waste residues.
-
If required, the roller massage insert can be fitted to the foot-pads. Roller massage is specifically recommended for the sole area of the feet. An infrared pad for heat treatment is located between the foot pads.
-
In order to enhance the massage effect, a
foot massage should be applied using warm water. A non-foaming bath gel may also be added.
-
The integral heating element located underneath the studded foot-pads prevents the warm water from cooling down too fast, although it is not designed to heat up the water.
The user is recommended to refrain from
massage treatment when suffering from phlebitis in the legs, varicose veins (if they tend to bleed easily), skin rash, inflamed or swollen feet or any pain of unknown origin. If in doubt, consult your doctor before using the appliance.

Operation
-
Place the foot massager on the floor in front of a chair.
-
If required, the massage inserts for the foot-reflex zones can be fitted.
-
Fill with warm water until the indicated water level is reached.
-
Insert the plug into the wall socket. Make sure that the rotary control is in the “0” position.
-
Seat yourself comfortably on the chair and position your feet on the foot pads. Do not stand on the unit.
-
Select the desired function with the rotary control. The recommended application time is 10 to 20 minutes.
-
After use, set the control switch to “0” again before removing the plug from the wall socket.
-
Empty out the water afterwards through the recess.
Nail-polish dryer with aroma function
-
Turn the foot massager on and set it to position 2.
-
After applying the nail polish to your toe
10
nails, place your feet on the middle pad.
-
If the aroma function is required, pull out the nail-dryer insert from the main unit. Add a few drops of scented oil to the sponge inside the aroma chamber, then slide the nail-dryer insert back into the main unit until it locks into place.
-
Switch off the foot massager after use.
Pedicure unit
Batteries
This pedicure unit requires 2 type AA / 1.5 V batteries; the use of alkaline batteries is preferable, as they last longer than standard carbon-zinc batteries. The batteries are inserted as follows:
-
Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and take it off.
-
Insert the batteries according to the schematic diagram inside the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
-
Replace the compartment cover and slide it back until it is heard locking into place.
A significant decrease in operating speed
is a clear indication that the batteries are exhausted, and that they should be replaced.
Always remove the batteries from the
pedicure unit during extended periods of non-use. This will prevent damage to the appliance from leakage.
Never dispose of old batteries in your
domestic garbage. Old batteries must be disposed of through local ‘special garbage collection points’.
Using the pedicure unit
With the appliance switched off, fit the attachment required onto the front of the pedicure unit and push it in as far as it will go.
-
Sponge attachment: for polishing toe nails.
-
Abrading attachment: for shortening and
shaping toe nails.
-
Cleaning brush: for cleaning the nails after filing, and for removing skin particles remaining after the treatment. It is also useful for preparing the nail surfaces for polishing.
-
Filing attachment: for filing and other
treatment of the nail surfaces. The slide-switch on the pedicure unit allows for two different speed settings. The feet should be treated after a hot bath or shower, as calluses and nails will be softened in this way. Always switch the pedicure unit off after use. A decrease in operating speed indicates low battery capacity. When this occurs, switch off the pedicure unit and replace the batteries.
Cleaning and care
Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is
disconnected from the power supply.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
clean the housing of the foot massager
with water and do not immerse it in
water.
Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning
solutions.
Foot massager
-
The inside and the exterior of the foot
massager may be cleaned with a slightly
damp lint-free cloth. Use household
tissue paper to wipe dry afterwards.
Special, commercially available cleaning
agents for synthetic materials may also be
used for cleaning.
Pedicure unit
-
The exterior of the pedicure unit may be
wiped with a dry cloth.
-
The inserts may be cleaned as necessary
with an alcohol solution.
Disposal
Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage; this should only be done through public collection points.
