Hand blender
Dear Customer,
Before using the appliance, please read the following instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions.
Connection to the mains supply
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label. This product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.

Important safety instructions
In order to avoid hazards, repairs
to this electrical appliance or its power cord must be carried out by
our customer service. If repairs are needed, please send the appliance to our customer service department (see appendix).
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water.
The attachments may be cleaned
in hot, soapy water. For detailed information on cleaning the appliance, please refer to the section Cleaning and care.
Always switch the appliance off and
remove the plug from the wall socket
- before fi tting or removing any attachments,
- in case of any malfunction,
- during cleaning,
- when there is no supervision,
- after each cycle of use.
Caution: Any misuse can cause
severe personal injury.
The appliance may only be used
by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of

the appliance and fully understand all dangers and safety precautions involved.
Children must not be permitted to
operate the appliance. The appliance and its power cord must be kept well away from children.
Children must not be permitted to
play with the appliance.
Caution: Keep any packaging materials
well away from children – such materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. of suffocation.
Every time the appliance is used, the
main body including the power cord as well as any attachment fi tted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, or if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord, it must no longer be used: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on the operational safety of the appliance.
Caution: After switching off, always wait
until the motor has come to a complete standstill. Do not touch any moving parts.
Do not allow the housing or the power
cord to touch hot surfaces such as hotplates, or come into contact with any open heat sources.
When removing the plug from the wall
socket, never pull on the power cord; always grip the plug itself.
Do not touch any moving parts during
operation, and do not insert any implements (e.g. dough scrapers or
cooking spoons) into the bowl unless the motor has come to a complete standstill.
No responsibility is accepted if damage
results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with.
This appliance is intended for domestic or
similar applications, such as
- in shops, offi ces and other similar working environments,
- in agricultural working environments,
- by customers in hotels, motels etc. and similar establishments,
- in bed-and breakfast type environments.
Before using for the fi rst time
Before the appliance is used for the fi rst time, all attachments and accessory parts must be cleaned as described in the section Cleaning and care.
Short-term operation
When using the speed levels 1 - 5, the unit should not be operated continuously for more than 7 minutes. Switch off the appliance afterwards and allow the motor to cool down.
Switch settings - Overview
The appliance is equipped with a
multistage switch.
The following settings may be selected:
0 The appliance is switched off 1 very low speed 2 low speed 3 medium speed 4 medium high speed 5 high speed
When mixing light and liquid mixtures or
when stirring in any ingredients, settings 1 and 2 should be used.

For stirring and kneading, it is best to use
settings 3, 4 or 5.
Turbo function
Maximum speed may be obtained by pressing down the turbo button, regardless of the speed level selected.
Selecting the attachments
Beaters
Suitable for light and liquid mixtures such as crèmes, mixing dough, mashed potatoes, egg white or cream etc.
Dough hooks
For heavy, kneading-type dough, the dough hooks must be used.
Fitting the attachments
The hook with the integrated plate must
be inserted into the larger opening (
).
The beater attachment or kneading hook
with the integrated geared ring fi ts into the smaller opening with the star-shaped projection on the blender.
Operation
Insert the selected attachments into the
openings on the underside of the mixer and push them gently upwards until they lock into place.
Depending on the quantity of ingredients,
use a suffi ciently deep bowl.
Any bowl, round container or glass is
suitable, provided it is scratch-proof and the attachments can rotate freely inside.
Once the attachments are fi tted, take the
blender into your hand and position the attachments inside the container fi lled with
the ingredients. Use your thumb to operate the switches. Once processing is fi nished, or if you wish
to interrupt the operation, switch off fi rst
before lifting the attachments out of the
mixture.
Ejecting the attachments
The beaters or dough hooks are automatically detached when the eject button is pressed.
Using the rotating blender bowl
Push the locking button for the tilt arm
lightly down and pull the tilt arm all the
way back and up. Place the blender bowl onto the
integrated turntable base. Fit the beater attachments into the
corresponding openings on the blender
unit until they are properly locked. Push the Hand blender arrest button (4)
and, at the same time, attach the blender
to the tilt arm and push gently down. Push the locking button for the tilt arm
(8) slightly in and bring the tilt arm with
the blender into its horizontal operating
position. Insert the plug into a wall outlet. Put the ingredients into the bowl and
select the required power setting. After use, remove the plug from the wall
outlet. Push the locking button down and pull the
tilt arm all the way back and up. To remove the blender unit, push the
blender arrest in and pull the blender off. Remove the blender bowl from the base. When processing smaller quantities, or for
whipping cream, it may be better to use
a different, more suitable bowl instead of

the one provided.
Cleaning and care
Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is
disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water.
Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning
solutions for cleaning.
The housing may be wiped with a damp,
lint-free cloth.
The base may be cleaned with a slightly
damp cloth.
The beaters, kneading hooks and the
processing bowl may be cleaned using hot water and a mild detergent. These parts are not dish-washer safe.
Heavy dough (kneading-type
For a dough of max. 1925 g, use the dough hook and thoroughly knead 1120 g of fl our with 805 g of water.
Disposal
Devices marked with this symbol must be disposed of separately from your household waste, as
they contain valuable materials which can be recycled. Proper disposal protects the environment and human health. Your local authority or retailer can provide information on the matter.
Guarantee
This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts
found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modifi ed, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse. This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return. If within the guarantee period, please also provide the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
