Do not clean the scales with water and
do not immerse them in water.
The display can be changed between
grams (gm) and ounces (oz) by using the appropriate key (1).
These scales have a maximum load
capacity of 5000g / 176.37 oz (accessories included). If this capacity is exceeded, the symbol ‘EEEE’ appears in the display.
These scales are designed for household
use and are not suitable for medical or commercial applications; they are not officially calibrated.
Before using for the first time Before the scales are used for the first time, the protective strip in the battery compartment must be removed.
Fit the the glass plate onto the centre axis with the centre bolt. To secure the plate, use a suitable screwdriver to tighten the small grub-screw on the side of the bolt.
Operation
-
Position the scales on a firm and level surface.
-
To weigh recipe ingredients, place a suitable bowl or container on the platform. Solid ingredients may be put directly onto the scales.
-
To switch the unit on, press the ‘On’ key. The ‘0’ symbol appears in the display. To allow for any additional weight, always make sure to position any accessories (bowl etc.) on the platform before the unit is switched on.
-
Add the ingredients to the bowl (or other accessory) used, until the desired weight is displayed.
-
To add more ingredients without first emptying the container, the zero-reset key may be pressed again. In this way, only the additional weight is displayed.
-
After use, the scales may be switched off by holding down the On/zero-reset key. However, the unit will switch off automatically if no key is pressed within a 90-second period.

The symbol appears if the battery needs replacing.
-
To insert or replace the battery, open the battery compartment located underneath the unit. When inserting the battery, always observe the correct polarity. The symbol (+) must face upwards.
