Introduction
With only one internet connection received by the integrated GPRS module, the SETTOP
REPEATER allows multiple users to work using a radio link through the transmission of the
corrections by the connected radio. The operator will be also benefited of working with NTRIP
corrections in zones with low GPRS coverage.

Settings: Configuration
The configuration of the SETTOP REPEATER is only required the first time or if the Sim card is
changed.
RADIO:
Configuration of the radio protocols. The configuration speed is automatically
configured to 38400 baud. The radio should be configured as a transmitter.
Choose emission format: Trimtalk or transparent
Choose radio channel of transmissions, depending of the frequencies used on the PDL
(for example):
Channel 0 (433.075 KHz)
Channel 1 (433.100 KHz)
Channel 2 (433.125 KHz)
Channel 3 (433.150 KHz)
Channel 4 (433.175 KHz)

INTERNET SETUP:
configuration of the Internet protocols
The list of the casters NTRIP appears configured, by defect is possible to introduce 50
definitions. The caster selected, will be the active caster. Pressing Add we can create a new
caster to add to the list .
Pressing Delete, erases the characteristics of the selected caster.
Pressing Edit, appears the parameters to be accepted or modified.
Is possible to edit the IP, port, user name and net password.
With the function Auto activated, allows the auto connection when the Repeater is powered
An a will appear indicating that the autoconenection is configured.
Pressing the button will change directly to the Repeater VRS option, to initiate the
connection.
CELLULAR MODEM:
Configuration of the telephone. By defect the telephone detects the
APN of the main companies of most of the countries. If this symbol appears , will be
necessary to introduce the data by the operator and enable the check box Manual.

VRS Repeater. User guide
When entering to VRS Repeater, appears the selected caster on the option” Settings Edit
Connections”. When the GPS has position, the coordinates will appear (WGS84) in the upper
left corner of the screen. While there is no position calculated, will appear the message “ NOT
POSITION”.
Pressing List, the connection to the selected
caster is established and the bases are downloaded.
The button (List) changes to Connect. The
method/ base connection ( in the lower bar appears the protocol of reception) we want is
selected and Connect is pressed.
Once is connected, the button (Connect) becomes Stop and the radio starts to transmit
automatically (radio TX blinking). While is transmitting, on the upper right bar shows the
downloading progress*.
Pressing “Stop”closes the connection with the caster.

If in the option “Setup Edit Connections”, Auto is activated, SETTOP REPEATER, will try
auto connection when the battery is powered. This connection will have the same configuration
as the last used

Repeater known issues
At the time of the connection, some errors can appear due to various situations.
Related to GPRS connections:
1- No error APN Cmd:
- Operator not configured
- Sim not detected
Settop Repeater is not detecting the SIM card ( ). Check the SIM card, remove the
PIN code or try with another SIM Card if is posible.
Configuration not detected ( ). Configure your APN manually or contact your GSM
provider.
2- ERROR 3
Is not posible to establish a GPRS connection to the defined adress.
- The GPRS signal is not enough. It can be a temporary problem of the operator or try if
is posible to establish the connection in other area.
-The adress is not valid. Check the characters of your IP Adress.
3- ERROR 4:
Can not send or receive data from the server.
SETTOP Repeater stops the communication because GPRS Signal is interrupted, etc.
Automatically SETTOP Repeater will try to reconnect. Please wait for the reconnection.
Related to caster protocol:
4- ERROR 5:
This message will appear, if user name or password are not valid.
The caster inform us that the user name or password are not correct. Please verify the
characters used.
5- ERROR 6:
Base not found.

The caster shows in the list base that is not active. Try the connection with other base
from the list.
6- The message “Auth required” appears if you are trying to connect to a caster without
introduce an user name or password and this is required for the authentification.
Firmware Update
For firmware updates is necessary to connect the SETTOP Repeater to the PC and run the
software PC- Settop Repeater Service.
Select the communication port and baudrate speed. (By defect 38400bps).
Update
Press Update to access to the software update window.
Update the Firmware in 3 steps:
1- Connect the PC-Cable in the communication port POWER/PC of the SETTOP
Repeater.
2- Press and hold POWER during few seconds (5 sec.). SETTOP Repeater will start and
the screen will be white.

3- Select the Firmware versión and press update.
To open the File Explorer, press SHIFT+Update
Once the update is finished, will appear a message informing that the update was successfully
finished.
Configure
The Configure option allows the user to create a list of castres in the PC and send it to the
SETTOP Repeater.
Is recommended to erase the current list, before create or modify a list of the SETTOP
Repeater. Press Erase memory
- Pressing you can load a file previosusly created.
- The option allows you to introduce a new caster. While pressing it the information boxes
of the castres will be activated for modifications.
- The option allows you to erase a selected caster from the list.
- Thre option allows you to edit a selected caster.While pressing it the information boxes of
the castres will be activated for modifications.
- The option allows you to save the list of castres introduced.
Once the list is definied, pressing the option will send the castres to the
Repeater. Once the tranfer is finished, will appear an information message.
For a succesull transfer, SETTOP Repeater, must be in the main screen of the software. If not a
communication error will appear.
GSM Firmware
The GSM Firmware option updates the internal GSM module. The update process is
automatically processed through internet.
A Sim Card must be inserted and is recommended to have installed the last version of the
SETTOP Repeater.
With a Sim Card installed and the Repeater powered, introduce your APN, username and
password of your Telephone company.
Press Configure to confirm the update.
