I MPROPER USE OF TH E M ACHI NE WI LL VOI D THE W ARRAN TY

1. Always use a defoamer when foaming occurs to prevent vacuum motor damage.

2. Before each use, remove the s pray tool from the hose, and check to make s ure the spray

nozzles are securely tightened to the spray tool. A loos e nozzle could fly off during use.

3. Keep machine from rain and snow, extremes in temperatures, and store in a heated

location. Use the machine indoors. Do not use outdoors .

4. Never allow the spray to remain fixed in one spot.

5. Us e approved chemicals only. NO SOLVENTS.

6. Wear gloves or use rags when removing quick disc onnects to prevent burns .

7. Never use water above 130º F/54º C in the s olution tank.

This machi n e is o n l y suitable for commercial use, for ex ample in hot el s, schools, hospitals, factor i es, shops
and offices other than normal residential housekeeping purposes.

When using any electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

WARN I NG!

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:

• Do not leave the machine unattended when it is plugged in. Unplug the unit from the outlet when not

in use and before servicing.

• To avoid electric shock, do not expose to rain or snow. Store, and use, indoors.

• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is neces sary when used near children.

• Use only as described in this manual. Use only the manufacturer’s recommended attachments .

• Never add water over 130º F/54º C to the solution tank.

• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If the machine is not working as it should, has been dropped,

damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water, return it to a service center.

• Pro tect t h e cord . Do n o t: u se the cord as a h an d l e, close a door on t h e cord , or pul l t h e cord aroun d

sharp ed ges or cor ner s. Do n ot r un th e m achin e over t h e cor d. Keep t he cord aw ay f rom h eat ed
surfaces. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.

• Do not handle the plug, the cord or the machine with wet hands.

• Extension cor ds must be 12 /3 an d no lon ger than 50 feet. Replace the cord or unplu g im mediately if

the ground prong becomes damaged.

• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair,

and anything that may reduce air flow.

• Keep loose clothing, hair, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.

• Do not pi ck up anything that is b urning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes, or any

health endangering dusts. Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or
use in areas where they may be present.

• Turn off all controls before unplugging.

• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.

• Connect to a properly grounded outlet only.

• Liqui d ej ected at the spray nozzle could be dangerous as a result of it s t emper atur e, p ressure, or

chemical content.

CLEANI NG SOLUTI ONS:

Select a p r o per p r e- spr ay fo r the su r f ace to b e clean ed , an d ap p ly the p r e-spray. Use a neu tral p H r i n se
or detergent (6 to 10 pH) in the King C obra to prevent premature wear of the pumps, seals, and other
components. Damage caused by the use of improper or harsh chemicals is not covered by warranty. P owders
are not recommended.

MA INTE NANCE :

For optim u m p erforman ce, fl ush the machin e wi th clear water at t h e end of each wor k ing d ay. Once a
month, minimum, run a flushing compound through the machine to bre a k up any mineral or chemical
bu ild -u p that m ay h ave f or m ed. Th e v acuum m otor, p um p m o t or s, an d t h e p u mp s d o n ot r equ ir e any
schedul ed m ai ntenan ce; h ow ev er, the m o tors m ay r eq u ir e r ep l acem ent brushes aft er 1 00 0 - 1 50 0 hou r s,
and t he high pressure pump and un loader valv e may r equire r ebuild ki ts afte r 5 00 -1000 hours (refer to
machine part list for numbers). Clean the body with an all purpose detergent, and protect it with an
automobile interior polish. Lubricate the wheels, castors, and quick disc onnects with an all purpos e silicone
spray.
