INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Remove the equipment from the box.
insulating paper or cloth).
Prepare the positioning location.
Connect the power supply cable to the equipment.
Check that the cable is stretched to prevent people from stumbling or to prevent other
inconveniences.
Insert the cable plug into the power socket (protected by a circuit-breaker).
Check that all electric controls operate perfectly.
Activate the start control.
USE WARNINGS
If the equipment is placed outside, it must be covered and protected from bad weather.
Do not position the equipment near heat, gas or flammable product sources.
When the equipment is not used, disconnect the plug from the power socket (power off the
transformer and equipment power cable).
Position the equipment so it is not within easy reach of children and pets.
Before cleaning and/or servicing the equipment, turn off the switch and disconnect the power
cable plug from the power socket.
Check that the power socket for the power cable is protected by a circuit-breaker.
Ensure that the equipment positioning site is away from condensation points and water
splashes.
Do not start the equipment if the power cable or the power socket is damaged.
Do not force the protections while the equipment is operating.
In case of use of the power cable extension, ensure that the junction point is protected against
all possible negative effects (water,
tears, shocks, short-circuits, etc.)

OPERATION
PMTR16 operates by using 3 recall factors, namely C02, heat and light waves.
CO2 and heat are produced by the action of the photo-catalysis of titanium dioxide Ti02 on
organic matters; light waves are emitted by the lamps and power supply.
The 3 recalls attract the insects into the upper part of the trap, from which the air flow created
by a fan drives them into the capture basket, where they die from rapid dehydration.
This method is preferred to contact lighting strike, a system often inefficient against insects such
as sand flies, whose small size does not allow simultaneous contact with the two electrodes;
mosquitoes instead have such dimensions as to trigger a short-circuit.
Many species of insects live permanently in the vicinity of their place of birth; continuous use of
the trap causes the gradual disappearance of their population as it is effective on local adults and
on those which sometimes come from surrounding areas, thus reducing the number of
specimens capable of laying eggs. It also gradually eliminates those born from eggs already laid
but that opened only after the installation of PMTR16.

MAINTENANCE
COLLECTION COMPARTMENT EMPTYING
1. Switch the trap off.
2. Disconnect the adapter with cable from the power socket.
3. Disconnect the cable from the trap.
4. Wait for 2 to 3 minutes.
5. Remove the little box behind.
6. Remove the bait if inserted.
7. Empty the box which contain the mosquitoes and clean it by means of
a semi-rigid bristle brush.
8. Reassemble the components, in reverse order, by taking great care
and paying maximum attention while operating.
LAMP REPLACEMENT
1. Switch the trap off.
2. Disconnect the adapter from the power socket.
3. Remove the transparent grid.
4. With well dry or protected hands, rotate the lamp upwards by 90°
and remove it from the seat.
