Important note
English
For maximum operating time, we recommend using AAA size alkaline manganese batteries (IEC LR 03).
Turning the transmitter on
Set the ON/OFF switch to ON. The r ed LED ligh ts up dimly. This L E D als o se rves as a peak ind ic ator (LED flashes brightly) and low battery indicator (LED blinks periodically)

Indicating low-battery status
The transmitter has an integrated v olt age con v erte r which ensures constant operating conditions until the batteries are completely discharged. When the remaining operation time is approx. 30 minutes, the LED starts blinking periodically..
As the batteries discharge, the blinkin g of th e L E D ac c el erates.
Note
If the transmitter is powered by rechargeable batteries, the LED only starts blinking shortly before the batteries are completely discharged.

Attachment of the bodypack transmitter
Due to it s sm al l dimen si o n s and

extrememly flat design, the transmi tter can easily be attached to your clothing (e.g. pocket, waistband, belt) by means of the supplied clip.
To avoid kinking the antenna, the clip can be withdrawn from its fixing points and attached the other way round.
Make sure not to kink the antenna.

Adjusting the sensitivity
Use the 6-step sensitivity switch to adapt the gain of the microphone input to the expected sound le vels.
In practice, the following settings have proved their worth for adjusting the sensitivity:
Po s ition 1 = high-f requency, loud audio material with ma ny
plosives
Position 2,3 = loud voices, vocals, theater applications
(close-miking) Position 3,4,5 = normal voices, talksh ows, Position 6 = soft voices

To provide for an accurate sensitivity setting, use the deviation indicator of your receiver (e.g. EM 1046).
English
As an aid t o ori en t at io n , th e transmitters LED peak indicator lights up brightly. The sensitivity is set correctly, when the LED peak indicator lights up brightly only during peak levels. When adjusting the sensitivity, hold or attach the microphone exactly where it will be positioned du ring use.
HiDyn plus
TM
This transmitter is equiped with HiDyn plusTM, the Sennheiser noise reduction system that reduces RF interference. Together with a receiver which is

also equipped with HiDyn plus
(e.g. EM 1046) , an RF link o f exce l le nt
operational reliability and high transmission quality can be set up.
