Important safety information

The VMX 100 has been manufactured according to the
accepted rules of safety and current technology. How­ever, there is still a danger of damage to equipment if the
following general safety instructions are not complied
with.

• Keep these instructions in a location where they are accessible to

all users at all times.

• Always include the operating instructions when you pass the

VMX 100 on to third parties.

Intended use

The VMX 100 is an accessory for mobile phones or any Bluetooth
compliant device with a “hands free” or a “headset” profile intended
for wireless communication via Bluetooth in dry environments.

It is considered improper use when the VMX 100 is used

• for any application not named in these instructions,

• under operating conditions that deviate from those described in

these instructions.

General instructions

• Never disassemble or modify components of the VMX 100.

• The built-in rechargeable battery may present a fire or chemical

burn hazard if mistreated. Therefore, do not disassemble, heat
above 40 °C (104 °F) or incinerate the rechargeable battery.

• Sennheiser Communications is not liable for damages resulting

from the loss of connection due to a run flat battery, an old bat­tery or exceeding the transmitting range.

Before operation

• Use the VMX 100 in dry places only and keep liquids and small

electrically conductive parts away from the VMX 100 and its con­necting sockets.

• Do not expose the VMX 100 to extreme temperatures. Normal

operating temperatures are 10 °C (50 °F) to 40 °C (104 °F).

• Store the headset in a clean, dust-free environment.

During charging

• Do not wear the headset when charging.

• Sennheiser Communications is not liable for damages to USB

devices that are not consistent with the USB specifications.

• The headset must be charged either with the VMX 100 power

supply (EU: 502310, UK: 502311, US: 502312), the VMX 100 car
charger unit (502313) a USB socket of a computer. Never try to
charge batteries other than the one in the VMX 100 headset with
the VMX 100 power supply or the VMX 100 car charger unit.

During operation

• Avoid listening at high volume levels for long periods since this

leads to permanent hearing defects.

• Observe your country’s regulations for the use of mobile phones,

headsets and hands-free equipment in traffic. Always focus your
attention on driving safely!

• This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency

energy and, if not used in accordance with the instructions, may
cause harmful interference to radio communications. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particu­lar installation.

Safety instructions for Lithium-Polymer rechargeable batteries

The VMX 100 has a built-in Lithium-Polymer rechargeable battery. If
abused or misused, rechargeable batteries may leak.

WARNING! In extreme cases, rechargeable batteries may even

present

• a heat hazard

• a fire hazard

• an explosion hazard

• a smoke and gas hazard

Please understand that Sennheiser Communications does not accept
liability for damage arising from abuse or misuse.

Do not heat above 70 °C/158 °F, e.g. do not expose to
sunlight or throw into a fire.

Do not expose to moisture.

Do not short-circuit.

Do not mutilate or dismantle.

Store the units/re-chargeable batteries in a cool and dry
place at room temperature (approx. 20°).

Only charge rechargeable batteries with the appropriate
Sennheiser Communications chargers.

When not using rechargeable batteries for extended peri­ods of time, charge them regularly (every six months for
about 1 hour).

Only charge rechargeable batteries at ambient tempera­tures between 10 °C and 40 °C.

Do not charge the rechargeable battery if the unit is obvi­ously defective.

Return defective units or units with defective rechargeable
batteries to your specialist dealer.

Quick Setup Guide

f At first charge the headset.

On first charging allow 4 hours. Later, 2.5 hours suffice to fully

charge the battery. For details see page 9.

Setting up the VMX 100

Charging the battery in the headset

If you charge the battery for the first time, allow charging for at least
4 hours without interruption. Later, 2.5 hours suffice to fully charge
the battery.

To charge the battery in the headset:

f Take off the headset and close the

microphone boom 쐃.

The headset is switched off.

f Connect the USB charging cable to the

headset’s socket for power supply 쐂.

f Connect the USB plug of the USB charg-

ing cable to:

• either the USB socket of the VMX 100

power supply

• or the USB socket of the VMX 100 car charger unit (only

VMX 100 3in1)

• or a USB socket of a computer.

f Connect either the power supply or the

car charger unit to the appropriate

power outlet.

If the battery was completely drained,

the LED 쐄 flashes red in the beginning

of the charging process. During charging,

the LED 쐄 lights up red. When charging

is complete, the LED 쐄 lights up blue.
The charging process cannot be started

during an ongoing call. A fully charged
battery provides a talk time of up to five
hours or a standby time of up to 100 hours.
When the battery is about to run flat:

• The LED 쐄 flashes red.

• Three beeps are heard in the headset every 30 seconds (3x).

• Less than five minutes of talk time are left.

Switching the headset on/off

f

Open the microphone boom 쐃.

The headset is switched on. The

LED 쐄 indicates the current operat-

ing mode:

• If the LED 쐄 flashes slowly in

blue, the headset is already
paired to a mobile phone. The
headset is therefore ready to use.

• If the LED 쐄 flashes alternatingly

in red and blue, the headset is not yet paired to a mobile
phone. Pair it as described under “Pairing the headset to mo­bile phones or other Bluetooth devices” on page 11.

• If the headset is already paired to a mobile phone and if there

is an incoming call on your mobile phone, the call is answered
immediately by opening the microphone boom 쐃 without any
further action.

To switch off the headset:

f Close the microphone boom 쐃.

The headset is switched off. The LED 쐄

stops flashing.

All settings are saved. The battery lasts

longer, if you switch off the headset

when not telephoning with it.

Pairing the headset to mobile phones or other Blue­tooth devices

Pairing to a mobile phone

To be able to use the headset, you must first pair it to your mobile
phone or a similar device with a Bluetooth hands-free or headset
profile. Once you have paired the headset to a mobile phone, the
headset is connected automatically each time this mobile phone and
the headset detect each other.

f Make sure the headset is switched on and

placed close to your mobile phone.

• If you have not yet paired the headset

to a mobile phone, the headset enters
the pairing mode automatically.

• If you have already paired the headset

to another mobile phone before, you
have to enter the pairing mode manu­ally by opening the microphone
boom 쐃 while pressing the volume
button 쐏 at the same time.

• The LED 쐄 flashes alternatingly in red and blue to indicate that

the headset is in the pairing mode.

f On your mobile phone, start a

search for Bluetooth devices (see

the manual of your mobile phone)

and follow any instruction dis-

played on your mobile phone dis-

play.

f Once the headset is detected by

your mobile phone, select

“VMX 100”.

When the Bluetooth connection is successfully established, the

headset is identified as “VMX 100” in the mobile phone’s display.

f When your mobile phone prompts a keyword, enter four zeros

(0000).

If pairing was successful, the LED 쐄 flashes slowly in blue.

Once paired, your mobile phone will be able to transfer the call

audio to the headset – either automatically or manually (please

see your mobile phone’s manual whether the call audio is trans-

ferred automatically or manually). Most mobile phones show a

headset symbol in their display, if successfully paired.

Pairing to other Bluetooth devices

If you wish to pair the headset to other Bluetooth devices, please see
the Bluetooth device’s manual.

Pairing to several mobile phones

If you wish to pair the headset to a second mobile phone, you first
have to disconnect from the first mobile phone (see the manual of
the first mobile phone). The headset saves up to four pairing profiles.
As soon as the headset is switched on it tries to connect to the mo­bile phone that it was last connected to. If this mobile phone is not
detected by the headset, you can manually connect it with one of the
other three mobile phones (see the manual of the respective mobile
phone).

Wearing the headset

f

Open the microphone boom 쐃.

The headset is turned on. The LED 쐄

starts flashing slowly in blue.

f Put the headset on. You can wear the

headset on either the left or right ear

without changing it.

f Turn the microphone boom 쐃 to-

wards your mouth.
The speaker 쐋 operates in two directions so that you can wear the

headset on either your left or right ear without changing it. However,
the speaker is designed in a way that other people in the vicinity
cannot listen in the other party and are not disturbed by the
speaker.

Telephoning with the VMX 100

Accepting an incoming call

f Make sure the headset is paired to your mobile phone

(see “Pairing the headset to mobile phones or other Bluetooth

devices” on page 11).
When you receive a call, you hear a ring tone

in the speaker 쐋 and the LED 쐄 flashes blue
quickly. To accept the call if the headset is
already switched on:

f Press the hook button 쐇 or the volume

button 쐏.

A beep is heard in the headset.

f Start to talk.

To accept the call if the headset is not
switched on:

f Open the microphone boom 쐃.

The headset is switched on and the call is answered immediately

without any further action.

f Put the headset on your ear.
f Start to talk.

Rejecting an incoming call

f Press and hold the hook button 쐇 while the mobile phone is

ringing until a beep is heard in the headset.

The ring tone stops. Depending on the mobile phone settings, the

call is either rejected or transferred to a voice mailbox.

Making a call

f Dial the number on your mobile phone as usual.

If your mobile phone automatically transfers the call audio to the

headset, a beep is heard in the headset.

If your mobile phone does not automatically transfer the call au-

dio to the headset, you must press a button on your mobile

phone to transfer the call audio to the headset manually.

f Start to talk.

Redialling

f Press and hold the hook button 쐇 for 1.5 seconds.

A beep is heard in the headset. The mobile phone redials the last

dialled number automatically.

Voice dialling

The voice dialling function must be sup­ported by your mobile phone and be
activated.

f Press the hook button 쐇.
f Say the name of the other party.

The mobile phone dials the correspond-

ing number automatically.

Ending a call

f Press the hook button 쐇 or

close the microphone boom 쐃 or

use your mobile phone to end the call.

A beep is heard in the headset. The call is ended.

Transferring an ongoing call from the mobile phone to the head­set

f Press the hook button 쐇.

A beep is heard in the headset. The call audio is transferred to the

headset.

Transferring a call from the headset to the mobile phone

f See your mobile phone’s manual on how to transfer the call audio

from the headset to your mobile phone.

If you leave the transmitting range

If the headset leaves the mobile phone’s transmitting range during a
call:

f The sound quality deteriorates before the connection finally

breaks down.

f Your mobile phone might display the loss of connection.
f See the manual of your mobile phone whether or not your mobile

phone ends the call automatically.

Changing the speaker volume

f

Press the volume button 쐏 during a call.

The speaker volume is changed by one

step. The speaker volume can be adjusted

in 8 steps. The factory setting is 4. When

the minimum or maximum volume is

reached, a beep is heard in the speaker 쐋.
In addition, the adaptive intelligence “learns”

the users preferred settings and adjusts the
volume automatically.

If you close the headset, the current volume
setting is saved, if set to one of the steps 1
thru 6. If the volume setting is step 7 or 8, step 6 is saved to protect
your hearing.

Changing the ring tone volume

f

Press the volume button 쐏 while the headset is in standby mode

(no active call).

The ring tone volume is changed by one step. The ring tone is

played once in the set volume. The set volume is saved.
The ring tone volume can be adjusted between step 1 and 8. The

factory setting is step 4.

Muting/un-muting the headset microphone

To mute the headset microphone:

f Press and hold the hook button 쐇 during a

conversation until a beep is heard in the

headset.

The microphone is muted. A beep is heard

every 1.5 seconds in the headset.
To un-mute the headset microphone:

f Press the hook button 쐇 or

press the volume button 쐏.

The beeping stops. The microphone works

as usual.

Restoring factory settings

You can restore the factory settings of speaker volume and pairing
as follows:

f Set the headset to pairing mode as de-

scribed under “Pairing the headset to

mobile phones or other Bluetooth de-

vices” on page 11.

f Press and hold the hook button 쐇 while

the headset is in pairing mode until the

LED 쐄 stops flashing.

The LED 쐄 flashes alternatingly in red

and blue to indicate that the headset is in

the pairing mode. The headset needs to

be paired again before using.

Maintenance and care

If you do not want to use the headset for a
longer time:

f Close the microphone boom 쐃.
f Store the headset in a clean and dry envi-

ronment.
To clean the headset:

f Only clean with a dry cloth. Do not use any liquids, solvents or

cleansing agents.

Warranty regulations

The guarantee period for this Sennheiser product is 24 months – for the
battery 6 months – from the date of purchase. Excluded are accessory items,
rechargeable or disposable batteries that are delivered with the product; due
to their characteristics these products have a shorter service life that is princi­pally dependent on the individual frequency of use.

The guarantee period starts from the date of original purchase. For this reason,
we recommend that the sales receipt be retained as proof of purchase. Without
this proof (which is checked by the responsible Sennheiser service partner) you
will not be reimbursed for any repairs that are carried out.

Depending on our choice, guarantee service comprises, free of charge, the
removal of material and manufacturing defects through repair or replacement
of either individual parts or the entire device. Inappropriate usage (e.g. operat­ing faults, mechanical damages, incorrect operating voltage), wear and tear,
force majeure and defects which were known at the time of purchase are
excluded from guarantee claims. The guarantee is void if the product is ma­nipulated by non-authorised persons or repair stations.

In the case of a claim under the terms of this guarantee, send the device,
including accessories and sales receipt, to the responsible service partner. To
minimise the risk of transport damage, we recommend that the original
packaging is used. Your legal rights against the seller, resulting from the
contract of sale, are not affected by this guarantee.

The guarantee can be claimed in all countries outside the U.S. provided that no
national law limits our terms of guarantee.

Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch

Das VMX 100 ist ein Zubehör für Mobiltelefone und andere Blue­tooth-Geräte mit einem „Hands Free-“ oder „Headset-Profil“, das
kabelloses Telefonieren in trockener Umgebung ermöglicht.

Als nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch gilt, wenn Sie das BW 900­System

• anders benutzen, als in dieser Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben,

• unter Betriebsbedingungen nutzen, die von den in dieser Bedie-

nungsanleitung beschriebenen abweichen.

Allgemeine Hinweise

• Sie dürfen die Komponenten des VMX 100 weder öffnen noch

umbauen!

• Bei Missbrauch oder nicht ordnungsgemäßem Gebrauch kann der

eingebaute Akku auslaufen. In extremen Fällen besteht Explosi­ons- bzw. Brandgefahr. Daher dürfen Sie den Akku nicht zerlegen
und nicht über 100 °C erwärmen oder verbrennen.

• Sennheiser Communications haftet nicht für Schäden aus Verbin-

dungsabbrüchen wegen leerer oder überalteter Akkus oder Über­schreiten des Bluetooth-Sendebereichs.

Vor der Inbetriebnahme

• Benutzen Sie das VMX 100 ausschließlich in trockener Umgebung

und halten Sie Flüssigkeiten und elektrisch leitfähige Kleinteile
vom VMX 100 und seinen Anschlussbuchsen fern.

• Setzen Sie das VMX 100 niemals extremen Temperaturen aus. Die

normale Betriebstemperatur ist 10 °C bis 40 °C.

• Bewahren Sie das Headset in einer sauberen, staubfreien Umge-

bung auf.

Beim Laden

• Tragen Sie das Headset niemals beim Laden.

• Sennheiser Communications haftet nicht für Schäden an USB-

• Das Headset muss entweder mit dem VMX 100-Ladenetzteil (EU:

Kurzanleitung

f Laden Sie zuerst das Headset.

Beim ersten Laden werden vier Stunden, später nur 2,5 Stunden

benötigt, um den Akku voll aufzuladen. Einzelheiten siehe Seite 9.

Das VMX 100 in Betrieb nehmen

Den Akku im Headset laden

Wenn Sie den Akku zum ersten Mal laden, laden Sie ihn für vier
Stunden ohne Unterbrechung. Später genügen zweieinhalb Stunden,
um den Akku voll aufzuladen.

Um den Akku im Headset zu laden:

f Nehmen Sie das Headset ab und schlie-

ßen Sie den Mikrofonarm 쐃.

Das Headset schaltet sich automatisch

aus.

f Schließen Sie das USB-Ladekabel an die

Buchse für das Ladenetzteil 쐂 an.

f Schließen Sie den USB-Stecker des USB-

Ladekabels wie folgt an:

• entweder an die USB-Buchse des

VMX 100 Ladenetzteils

• oder an die USB-Buchse des VMX 100 Auto-Ladegeräts (nur in

der VMX 100 3in1 Version enthalten)

• oder an eine USB-Buchse eines Computers.

f Schließen Sie das Ladenetzteil bzw. das

Auto-Ladegerät an die entsprechende

Stromquelle an.

Wenn der Akku völlig leer war, blinkt die

LED 쐄 zunächst rot. Während des La-

dens leuchtet die LED 쐄 rot. Sobald der

Akku vollständig geladen ist, leuchtet die

LED 쐄 blau.
Das Headset kann nicht während eines

Telefonats geladen werden. Ein vollständig
geladener Akku ermöglicht eine Sprechzeit
von bis zu fünf Stunden oder eine Standby-Zeit von bis zu 100
Stunden.

Wenn der Akku fast leer ist:

• blinkt die LED 쐄 rot,

• ertönen alle 30 Sekunden drei Signaltöne im Headset (3x),

• verbleiben weniger als fünf Minuten Sprechzeit.

Das Headset schaltet sich automa-

tisch ein. Die LED 쐄 zeigt den aktu-

ellen Betriebszustand an:

• Wenn die LED 쐄 langsam blau

blinkt, ist das Headset bereits mit
einem Mobiltelefon gepaart. Das
Headset ist betriebsbereit.

• Wenn die LED 쐄 abwechselnd rot

und blau blinkt, ist das Headset noch nicht mit einem Mobilte­lefon gepaart. Paaren Sie es wie unter „Das Headset mit Mobil­telefonen oder anderen Bluetooth-Geräten paaren“ auf
Seite 11 beschrieben.

Wenn das Headset bereits mit einem Mobiltelefon gepaart ist und Sie
angerufen werden, während das Headset ausgeschaltet ist, dann
wird dieser Anruf automatisch angenommen, wenn Sie den Mikro­fonarm 쐃 öffnen. Sie müssen keine weitere Taste drücken und
können sofort sprechen.

Um das Headset auszuschalten:

f Schließen Sie den Mikrofonarm 쐃.

Das Headset schaltet sich automatisch

aus. Die LED 쐄 hört auf zu blinken.

Alle Einstellungen werden gespeichert.

Der Akku hält länger, wenn Sie das Head-

set ausschalten, solange Sie nicht telefo-

nieren.

Das Headset mit Mobiltelefonen oder anderen Blue­tooth-Geräten paaren

Mit einem Mobiltelefon paaren

Damit Sie das Headset benutzen können, müssen Sie es zunächst
einmalig mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon oder einem ähnlichen Gerät paaren.
Danach wird das Headset automatisch über Bluetooth mit dem
Mobiltelefon verbunden, sobald sich Headset und Mobiltelefon ge­genseitig erkennen.

f Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Headset einge-

schaltet und nahe beim Mobiltelefon plat-

ziert ist.

• Wenn Sie das Headset noch nicht mit

einem Mobiltelefon gepaart haben,
startet der Paarungsmodus automa­tisch.

• Wenn Sie das Headset bereits mit ei-

nem anderen Mobiltelefon gepaart hat­ten, müssen Sie den Paarungsmodus
manuell starten, indem Sie den Mikro­fonarm 쐃 öffnen, während Sie gleich­zeitig die Wipptaste 쐏 gedrückt halten.

• Die LED 쐄 blinkt abwechselnd rot und blau. Das Headset ist im

Paarungsmodus.

f Starten Sie mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon

eine Suche nach Bluetooth-

Geräten (siehe die Anleitung Ihres

Mobiltelefons) und folgen Sie den

Anweisungen auf dem Display des

Mobiltelefons.

f Nachdem das Headset vom Mobil-

telefon gefunden wurde, wählen

und bestätigen Sie „VMX 100“.

Wenn die Bluetooth-Verbindung erfolgreich hergestellt wurde, er-

scheint „VMX 100“ im Display des Mobiltelefons.

Wenn das Paaren erfolgreich war, blinkt die LED 쐄 langsam blau.

Ihr Mobiltelefon kann Anrufe nun auf das Headset weiterleiten –

entweder automatisch oder manuell (siehe die Anleitung Ihres

Mobiltelefons, ob die Anrufe automatisch oder manuell zum

Headset weitergeleitet werden). Die meisten Mobiltelefone haben

ein Headset-Symbol im Display, wenn das Paaren erfolgreich war.

Mit anderen Bluetooth-Geräten paaren

Wenn Sie das Headset mit anderen Bluetooth-Geräten paaren möch­ten, dann siehe die Anleitung dieses Bluetooth-Geräts.

Mit mehreren Mobiltelefonen paaren

Wenn Sie das Headset mit einem zweiten Mobiltelefon paaren möch­ten, müssen Sie zuerst die Paarung mit dem ersten Mobiltelefon
aufheben (siehe dazu die Anleitung Ihres Mobiltelefons). Das Head­set speichert bis zu vier Paarungsprofile. Sobald das Headset einge­schaltet wird, versucht es, eine Bluetooth-Verbindung zu dem Mobil­telefon herzustellen, mit dem es zuletzt verbunden war. Wenn das
Headset dieses Mobiltelefon nicht findet, können Sie manuell eine
Bluetooth-Verbindung zu einem anderen Mobiltelefon herstellen
(siehe dazu die Anleitung dieses Mobiltelefons).

Annehmen eines Anrufs

f Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Headset mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon ge-

paart ist (siehe „Das Headset mit Mobiltelefonen oder anderen

Bluetooth-Geräten paaren“ auf Seite 11).
Wenn Sie angerufen werden und das Headset

bereits eingeschaltet ist, hören Sie einen
Klingelton im Lautsprecher des Headsets 쐋
und die LED 쐄 blinkt schnell blau. Sie neh-
men den Anruf wie folgt an:

f Drücken Sie die Sprech-/Rufannahme-

Sie hören einen Signalton im Headset.

f Sprechen Sie.

Abweisen eines Anrufs

f Halten Sie, während das Mobiltelefon klingelt, die Sprech-

/Rufannahmetaste 쐇 gedrückt, bis Sie einen Signalton im Head-

set hören.

Das Klingeln hört auf. Je nach Einstellung Ihres Mobiltelefons wird

der Anruf abgewiesen oder zu Ihrer Sprachmailbox umgeleitet.

Tätigen eines Anrufs

f Wählen Sie mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon die gewünschte Nummer wie

gewohnt.

Wenn Ihr Mobiltelefon den Anruf automatisch zum Headset wei-

terleitet, dann hören Sie einen Signalton im Headset.

Wenn Ihr Mobiltelefon den Anruf nicht automatisch zum Headset

weiterleitet, dann müssen Sie dazu eine Taste drücken (siehe die

Anleitung Ihres Mobiltelefons).

f Sprechen Sie.

Mit Wahlwiederholung wählen

f Halten Sie die Sprech-/Rufannahmetaste 쐇 gedrückt, bis Sie

einen Signalton im Headset hören.

Das Mobiltelefon wählt die zuletzt gewählte Nummer automa-

tisch noch einmal.

Mit Sprachwahl wählen

Die Sprachwahl-Funktion muss von Ihrem
Mobiltelefon unterstützt werden und
aktiviert sein.

f Drücken Sie die Sprech-/Rufannahme-

f Sprechen Sie den Namen dessen, den

Sie anrufen möchten.

Beenden eines Anrufs

Ihres Mobiltelefons, um den Anruf zu beenden. Sie hören einen

Signalton im Headset. Der Anruf wird beendet.

Weiterleiten eines laufenden Gesprächs vom Mobiltelefon zum
Headset

f Drücken Sie während des Gesprächs die Sprech-/Rufannahme-

taste 쐇.

Sie hören einen Signalton im Headset. Das laufende Gespräch

wird zum Headset weitergeleitet.

Zurückleiten eines laufenden Gesprächs vom Headset zum Mobil­telefon

f Siehe die Anleitung Ihres Mobiltelefons, wie ein laufendes Ge-

spräch von einem Headset zurück auf das Mobiltelefon transfe-

riert wird.

Wenn Sie den Sende- und Empfangsbereich verlassen

Wenn das Headset während eines Telefonats den Bluetooth-Sende­und Empfangsbereich des Mobiltelefons verlässt,

• verschlechtert sich die Klangqualität, bevor die Verbindung end-

gültig abbricht,

• zeigt das Mobiltelefon den Verbindungsabbruch im Display an.

f Siehe die Anleitung Ihres Mobiltelefons, ob das Mobiltelefon

automatisch auflegt oder nicht.

Die Lautsprecher-Lautstärke ändern

f

Drücken Sie die Wipptaste 쐏 während

eines Telefonats.

Die Lautsprecher-Lautstärke ändert sich

um eine Stufe. Die Lautstärke kann in acht

Stufen eingestellt werden. Die Werksein-

stellung ist Stufe vier. Wenn die minimale

oder maximale Lautstärke erreicht ist, hö-

ren Sie einen Signalton im Lautsprecher 쐋.
Außerdem „lernt“ die Adaptive Intelligence

Ihre bevorzugten Einstellungen und passt die
Lautstärke automatisch an.

Wenn Sie das Headset ausschalten, wird die aktuelle Lautstärkeein­stellung gespeichert – vorausgesetzt, die Lautstärke ist auf eine der
Stufen eins bis sechs eingestellt. Wenn die aktuelle Lautstärke auf
Stufe sieben oder acht eingestellt ist, wird stattdessen Stufe sechs
gespeichert, um Ihr Gehör zu schützen.

Die Klingelton-Lautstärke ändern

f

Drücken Sie die Wipptaste 쐏 während das Headset im Standby-

Modus ist (kein Telefonat aktiv).

Die Klingelton-Lautstärke ändert sich um eine Stufe. Der Klingel-

ton ertönt einmal in der gewählten Lautstärke und wird gespei-

chert. Die Klingelton-Lautstärke kann in acht Stufen eingestellt

werden. Die Werkseinstellung ist Stufe vier.

Sie können die Werkseinstellungen für die Lautsprecher-Lautstärke
und die Paarungseinstellungen wie folgt wiederherstellen:

f Starten Sie den Paarungsmodus wie unter

„Das Headset mit Mobiltelefonen oder

anderen Bluetooth-Geräten paaren“ auf

Seite 11 beschrieben.

f Halten Sie, während das Headset im

Paarungsmodus ist, die Sprech-/Rufan-

blinken aufhört.

blau. Das Headset ist im Paarungsmodus

und muss neu gepaart werden, bevor es

Pflege und Reinigung

Wenn Sie das Headset längere Zeit nicht be­nutzen möchten:

f Bewahren Sie das Headset an einem saube-

ren und trockenen Ort auf.
Um das Headset zu reinigen:

haben wegen ihrer Beschaffenheit eine kürzere Lebensdauer, die
zudem im Einzelfall konkret von ihrer Nutzungsintensität abhängt.

Die Garantiezeit beginnt ab Kaufdatum. Zum Nachweis heben Sie
bitte unbedingt den Kaufbeleg auf. Ohne diese Nachweise, die der
zuständige Sennheiser-Service-Partner prüft, werden Reparaturen
grundsätzlich kostenpflichtig ausgeführt.

Die Garantieleistungen bestehen nach unserer Wahl in der
unentgeltlichen Beseitigung von Material- oder Herstellungsfehlern
durch Reparatur, den Tausch von Teilen oder des kompletten Geräts.
Von der Garantie ausgenommen sind Mängel durch unsachgemäßen
Gebrauch (z. B. Bedienungsfehler, mechanische Beschädigungen,
falsche Betriebsspannung), Verschleiß, aufgrund höherer Gewalt und

Utilisation conforme aux directives

Le VMX 100 est un accessoire pour téléphones mobiles ou tout autre
appareil Bluetooth possédant le profil “mains libres” ou “oreillette”,
prévu pour une communication sans fil via Bluetooth dans des envi­ronnements secs.

Est considérée comme une utilisation non conforme aux directives

• toute application différant de celle décrite dans la présente notice,

• ou le non-respect des conditions d’utilisation décrites ici.

Généralités

• Ne jamais démonter ni modifier les composants du VMX 100.

• La batterie utilisée dans cet appareil peut présenter un risque

d’incendie ou de brûlure chimique en cas de mauvais traitement.
Ne pas démonter, chauffer à plus de 40 °C (104 °F) ou incinérer la
batterie.

• Sennheiser Communications décline toute responsabilité en cas de

dommage résultant de la perte de connexion due à une batterie
épuisée, une vieille batterie ou si vous dépassez la portée de
transmission.

Avant la mise en service

• Utiliser le VMX 100 uniquement dans des locaux secs et tenir tout

liquide et petit objet conducteur à l‘écart du VMX 100 et ses prises
de raccordement.

• Ne pas exposer le VMX 100 à des températures extrêmes. Les

températures normales de fonctionnement sont de 10 °C (50 °F) à
40 °C (104 °F).

• Stocker l’oreillette à un endroit sec et exempt de poussière.

Pendant la charge

• Ne pas porter l’oreillette lors de la charge.

• Sennheiser Communications décline toute responsabilité en cas de dom-

mage aux appareils USB qui ne répondent pas aux spécifications USB.

• L’oreillette doit uniquement être rechargée par le bloc secteur

VMX 100 (EU: 502310, UK: 502311, US: 502312), par le chargeur
pour voiture VMX 100 (502313) ou par la prise USB d’un ordina­teur. Ne jamais utiliser le bloc secteur VMX 100 ou le chargeur
pour voiture VMX 100 pour recharger des batteries autres que cel­les de l’oreillette VMX 100 !

Pendant le fonctionnement

• Ne pas écouter à des volumes élevés. Une écoute prolongée à fort

volume peut entraîner une dégradation permanente de l’ouïe.

• Respectez les réglementations en vigueur dans votre pays à pro-

pos de l’utilisation des téléphones mobiles, des oreillettes et des
appareils mains libres au volant. Concentrez-vous toujours sur
votre conduite !

• Cet équipement produit, utilise et peut émettre une énergie haute

fréquence et, s’il n’est pas installé et utilisé conformément aux ins­tructions, provoquer des interférences gênantes pour les commu­nications radio. Des risques d’interférences ne peuvent toutefois
pas être totalement exclus dans certaines installations.

N’exposez pas les batteries à l’humidité.

Ne court-circuitez pas les batteries.

Ne désassemblez et ne déformez pas les batteries.

Stockez les appareils/batteries dans un endroit frais et sec,
à température ambiante (env. 20°).

Ne rechargez les batteries qu’avec des chargeurs
Sennheiser Communications appropriés.

En cas de non utilisation prolongée, rechargez les batteries
regulièrement (charge d’env. une heure tous les six mois).

Ne rechargez les batteries qu’à une température ambiante
entre 10°C et 40°C.

Guide d’installation rapide

f Charger l’oreillette.

Si vous chargez la batterie pour la première fois, ne pas interrom-

pre le processus de charge avant un minimum de quatre heures.

Par la suite, il faut 2,5 heures pour charger complètement la bat-

terie. Pour des détails, voir la page 9.

Mise en service du VMX 100

Charger la batterie intégrée de l’oreillette

Si vous chargez la batterie pour la première fois, ne pas interrompre
le processus de charge avant un minimum de quatre heures. Par la
suite, il faut 2,5 heures pour charger complètement la batterie.

Pour charger la batterie de l’oreillette :

f Enlever l’oreillette et fermer le bras de

micro 쐃.

L’oreillette est éteinte.

f Raccorder le câble de recharge USB à la

prise d’alimentation 쐂 de l’oreillette.

f Brancher le connecteur USB du câble de

recharge USB :

• soit dans la prise USB du bloc secteur

VMX 100,

• soit dans la prise USB du chargeur pour voiture VMX 100

(VMX 100 3in1 seul)

• soit dans la prise USB d’un ordinateur.

f Brancher soit le bloc secteur, soit le

chargeur pour voiture dans une prise de

courant.

Si la batterie est complètement épuisée,

la LED 쐄 clignote en rouge au début du

processus de charge. Pendant la charge,

la LED 쐄 s’allume en rouge. Lorsque la

charge est terminée, la LED 쐄 s’allume

en bleu.
Le processus de charge ne peut pas être

démarré en cours d’appel. Une batterie
complètement chargée offre une autonomie de jusqu’à cinq heures
en mode conversation ou de jusqu’à 100 heures en veille. Lorsque la
batterie devient faible :

• La LED 쐄 clignote en rouge.

• Vous entendez trois bips toutes les 30 secondes (3x).

• L’autonomie en mode conversation est de moins de cinq minutes.

Allumer/éteindre l’oreillette

f

Ouvrir le bras de micro 쐃.

L’oreillette s’allume. La LED 쐄 indi-

que le mode de fonctionnement :

• Si la LED 쐄 clignote lentement en

bleu, l’oreillette est déjà appairée
avec un téléphone mobile.
L’oreillette est prête à l’emploi.

• Si la LED 쐄 clignote alternative-

ment en rouge et en bleu,
l’oreillette n’est pas encore appairée avec un téléphone mobile.
Appairez l’oreillette avec le téléphone mobile comme décrit
dans la section “Appairer l’oreillette avec téléphones mobiles
ou d’autres appareils Bluetooth” à la page 11.

• Si l’oreillette est déjà appairée avec votre téléphone mobile et

vous recevez un appel sur votre mobile, vous pouvez prendre
cet appel immédiatement en ouvrant simplement le bras de
micro 쐃.

Pour éteindre l’oreillette :

f Fermer le bras de micro 쐃.

L’oreillette s’éteint. La LED 쐄 arrête de

clignoter.

Tous les réglages sont mémorisés. Si

vous n’utilisez pas l’oreillette, éteignez-la

afin d’économiser de la batterie.

Appairer l’oreillette avec téléphones mobiles ou
d’autres appareils Bluetooth

Appairage avec un téléphone mobile

Pour pouvoir utiliser l’oreillette, vous devez d’abord l’appairer avec
votre téléphone mobile ou un autre appareil possédant le profil
Bluetooth “mains libres” ou “oreillette”. Une fois que vous avez
appairé l’oreillette avec un téléphone mobile, l’oreillette se connecte
automatiquement à chaque fois que ce téléphone mobile et
l’oreillette se reconnaissent entre eux.

f S’assurer que l’oreillette est allumée et

positionnée près de votre téléphone mo-

bile.

• Si vous n’avez pas encore appairé

l’oreillette avec un téléphone mobile,
l’oreillette passe automatiquement en
mode “appairage”.

• Si l’oreillette était déjà appairée avec

un autre téléphone mobile, vous devez
passer en mode “appairage” manuel­lement en ouvrant le bras de micro 쐃
et en appuyant simultanément sur la touche “Volume” 쐏.

• La LED 쐄 clignote alternativement en rouge et en bleu, indi-

quant que l’oreillette est en mode “appairage”.

f Lancer la recherche d’appareils

Bluetooth depuis votre téléphone

mobile (voir la notice d’emploi de

votre mobile) et suivre toutes les

instructions affichées sur l’écran

de votre mobile.

f Dès que l’oreillette est reconnue

par votre téléphone mobile, sélec-

tionner “VMX 100”.

Une fois la liaison Bluetooth établie, l’oreillette est affichée

comme “VMX 100” sur l’écran de votre téléphone mobile.

f Si votre téléphone mobile vous demande un mot de passe, entrer

quatre zéros (0000).

Si l‘appairage est effectué avec succès, la LED 쐄 clignote lente-

ment en bleu.

Une fois appairé, votre téléphone mobile peut transférer des ap-

pel vers l’oreillette, soit automatiquement, soit manuellement

(voir la notice d’emploi de votre téléphone mobile pour détermi-

ner si l’appel est automatiquement transféré, ou s’il faut appuyer

sur une touche pour ce faire). Une fois appairés avec succès, la

plupart des téléphones mobiles affichent une icône “oreillette”

sur leurs écrans.

Appairage avec d’autres appareil Bluetooth

Si vous souhaitez appairer l’oreillette avec un autre appareil Blue­tooth, voir la notice d’emploi de l’appareil Bluetooth.

Appairage avec plusieurs téléphones mobiles

Si vous souhaitez appairer l’oreillette avec un deuxième téléphone
mobile, vous devez d’abord la déconnecter du premier téléphone
mobile (voir la notice d’emploi du premier téléphone mobile).
L’oreillette peut être appairée avec jusqu’à quatre téléphones mobi­les. Dès que l’oreillette est allumée, elle essaie de se connecter au
dernier téléphone mobile auquel elle a été connectée. Si ce téléphone
mobile n’est pas reconnu par l’oreillette, vous pouvez connecter
l’oreillette manuellement à l’un des trois autres téléphones mobiles
(voir la notice d’emploi du téléphone mobile correspondant).

Ajuster l’oreillette

Ouvrir le bras de micro 쐃.

L’écouteur 쐋 fonctionne dans deux directions, c’est-à-dire vous
pouvez porter l’oreillette sur l’oreille gauche ou droite sans avoir à
procéder à des changements. Toutefois, l’écouteur est conçu de telle
façon que le voisinage ne puisse pas entendre ce qu’il diffuse, et ne
soit pas dérangé par la voix de votre correspondant téléphonique.

Utilisation du VMX 100

Téléphoner avec le VMX 100

Prendre un appel

f S’assurer que l’oreillette est appairée avec votre téléphone mobile

(voir “Appairer l’oreillette avec téléphones mobiles ou d’autres

appareils Bluetooth” à la page 11).
Lorsque vous recevez un appel, vous enten-

dez la sonnerie dans l’écouteur 쐋 et la LED 쐄
clignote rapidement en bleu. Pour prendre
l’appel lorsque l’oreillette est allumée :

f Appuyer sur la touché “Décrocher/

Raccrocher” 쐇 ou la touche “Volume” 쐏.

Vous entendez un bip dans l’écouteur.

f Commencer à parler.

Pour prendre l’appel lorsque l’oreillette est
éteinte :

f Ouvrir le bras de micro 쐃.

L’oreillette s’allume et vous pouvez prendre l’appel immédiate-

ment.

f Mettre l’oreillette sur l’oreille.

Rejeter un appel

f Pendant que le téléphone mobile sonne, appuyer sur la touché

“Décrocher/Raccrocher” 쐇 et la maintenir enfoncée jusqu’à ce

que un bip soit audible dans l’écouteur.

La sonnerie s’arrête. Selon le réglage du téléphone mobile, l’appel

est soit rejeté, soit transféré sur une boîte vocale.

Passer un appel

f Composer le numéro sur votre téléphone mobile.

Si votre téléphone mobile transfère automatiquement l’appel sur

l’oreillette, vous entendez un bip dans l’oreillette.

Si votre téléphone mobile ne transfère pas automatiquement

l’appel sur l’oreillette, appuyer sur un bouton sur votre mobile

pour transférer manuellement l’appel sur l’oreillette.

f Commencer à parler.

Recomposer le dernier numéro composé

f Appuyer sur la touche “Décrocher/Raccrocher” 쐇 et la maintenir

enfoncée pendant 1,5 secondes.

Vous entendez un bip dans l’oreillette et le téléphone mobile re-

compose le dernier numéro composé.

Numéroter vocalement

La fonction “Numérotation vocale” doit
être supportée par votre téléphone mobile
et doit être activée.

f Appuyer sur la touche “Décrocher/

Raccrocher” 쐇.

f Enoncer le nom de la personne que

vous souhaitez appeler.

Le téléphone mobile compose automa-

tiquement le numéro correspondant.

Terminer un appel

l’oreillette.

Transférer un appel de l’oreillette vers le téléphone mobile

f Voir la notice d’emploi de votre téléphone mobile pour savoir

comment transférer un appel de l’oreillette vers votre mobile.

Si vous quittez la portée du téléphone mobile

Si l’oreillette quitte la portée du téléphone mobile en cours d’appel :

f La qualité sonore se détériore, puis la connexion est interrompue.
f Votre téléphone mobile indique la perte de connexion.
f Voir la notice d’emploi de votre téléphone mobile pour déterminer

si l’appel est automatiquement terminé.

Régler le volume d’écoute

f

Pendant une conversation, appuyer sur la

touche “Volume” 쐏.

Le volume d’écoute est modifié. Le volume

d’écoute peut être réglé entre 1 et 8. Le ré-

glage d’usine est 4. Si le volume minimum

ou maximum est atteint, vous entendez un

bip dans l’écouteur 쐋.
De plus, la fonction Adaptive Intelligence

mémorise les réglages préférés de l’utilisateur
et règle le volume automatiquement en fonc­tion du bruit ambiant.

Si le volume d’écoute est réglé sur une valeur entre 1 et 6, cette
valeur est mémorisée lorsque vous éteignez l’oreillette. Si le volume

d’écoute est réglé sur 7 ou 8, l’oreillette mémorise la valeur 6 afin de
protéger votre audition.

Régler le volume de la sonnerie

f

Pendant que l’oreillette est en mode veille (pas d’appel en cours),

appuyer sur la touche “Volume” 쐏.

Le volume de la sonnerie est modifié. La sonnerie est reproduite

une fois avec le réglage de volume actuel. Puis le réglage de vo-

lume est mémorisé.
Le volume de la sonnerie peut être réglé entre 1 et 8. Le réglage

d’usine est 4.

Désactiver/activer le micro de l’oreillette

Pour désactiver le micro de l’oreillette :

f Pendant une conversation, appuyer sur la

touche “Décrocher/Raccrocher” 쐇 et la

maintenir enfoncée jusqu’à ce que vous en-

tendiez un bip dans l’oreillette.

Le micro est désactivé et vous entendez un

bip toutes les 1,5 secondes.
Pour activer le micro de l’oreillette :

f Appuyer sur la touche “Décrocher/

Raccrocher” 쐇 ou la touche “Volume” 쐏.

Les bips s’arrêtent et le micro fonctionne

comme d’habitude.

Rétablir les réglages d’usine

Pour rétablir les réglages d’usine du volume d’écoute et de
l’appairage :

f Mettre l’oreillette en mode “appairage”

comme décrit dans la section “Appairer

l’oreillette avec téléphones mobiles ou

d’autres appareils Bluetooth” à la pa-

ge 11.

f Appuyer sur la touche “Décrocher/Rac-

crocher” 쐇 et la maintenir enfoncée jus-

qu’à ce que la LED 쐄 arrête de clignoter.

La LED 쐄 clignote alternativement en

rouge et en bleu, indiquant que l’oreillette

est en mode “appairage”. Avant

l’utilisation, l’oreillette doit être appairée de nouveau.

Maintenance et entretien

Si vous n’utilisez pas l’oreillette pendant une
longue période :

f Fermer le bras de micro 쐃.
f Stocker l’oreillette à un endroit sec et

exempt de poussière.
Pour nettoyer l’oreillette:

f Utiliser exclusivement un chiffon sec. Ne pas utiliser de liquides,

de solvants ou de détergents.

Conditions de garantie

La période de garantie pour ce produit Sennheiser est de 24 mois à compter de
la date d’achat. Sont exclues, les batteries rechargeables ou jetables livrées
avec le produit. En raison de leurs caractéristiques ces produits ont une durée
de vie plus courte liée principalement a la fréquence d'utilisation.

La période de garantie commence à la date de d’achat. Pour cette raison, nous
vous recommandons de conserver votre facture comme preuve d’achat. Sans
cette preuve – qui est vérifiée par Sennheiser – aucune prise en compte de la
garantie ne pourra être retenue.

La garantie comprend, gratuitement, la remise en état de fonctionnement du
matériel par la réparation ou le remplacement des pièces défectueuses ou dans
le cas où la réparation n'est pas possible, par échange du matériel. L’utilisation
inadéquate (mauvaise utilisation, dégâts mécaniques, tension électrique
incorrecte), sont exclus de la garantie. La garantie est invalidée en cas d’inter­vention par des personnes non-autorisées ou des stations de réparation non
agrées.

Pour faire jouer la garantie, retournez I’appareil et ses accessoires, accompagne
de la facture d’achat, a votre distributeur agrée. Pour éviter des dégâts durant
le transport il est recommandé d’utiliser I’emballage d’origine. Votre droit légal
de recours contre le vendeur n’est pas limité par cette garantie.

La garantie peut être revendiquée dans tous les pays à l’extérieur des Etats­Unis à condition qu’aucune loi nationale n’en invalide les termes.

Uso previsto

VMX 100 è un accessorio per telefoni cellulari o dispositivi abilitati
Bluetooth dotati di profilo “vivavoce” o di profilo “cuffia” che con­sentono una comunicazione wireless tramite Bluetooth in ambienti
asciutti.

Si considera uso improprio quando VMX 100

• viene impiegato per applicazioni non indicate in queste istruzioni,

• viene impiegato in condizioni di funzionamento diverse da quelle

descritte nelle presenti istruzioni.

Istruzioni generali

• Non smontare o modificare i componenti di VMX 100.

• La batteria ricaricabile integrata utilizzata in modo errato potreb-

be provocare incendi o ustioni chimiche. Pertanto, la batteria non
deve essere smontata, riscaldata oltre 40°C (104°F) o bruciata.

• Sennheiser Communications non può essere ritenuta responsabile

per danni dovuti a perdita di connessione in seguito a batterie sca­riche, batterie vecchie o qualora si esca dal raggio di trasmissione.

Prima dell'uso

• Utilizzare VMX 100 esclusivamente in luoghi asciutti e tenerlo

lontano da liquidi e piccole parti elettricamente conduttive e dalle
rispettive prese di collegamento.

• Non esporre VMX 100 a variazioni estreme di temperatura. Nor-

mali temperature d'esercizio sono comprese tra 10 °C (50 °F) e
40 °C (104 °F).

• Conservare la cuffia in un luogo pulito e privo di polvere.

Durante il caricamento

• Non indossare la cuffia durante il caricamento.

• Sennheiser Communications non può essere ritenuta responsabile

per danni a dispositivi USB che non corrispondono alle specifiche
USB.

• La cuffia deve essere caricata esclusivamente con alimentatore

VMX 100 (EU: 502310, UK: 502311, US: 502312), caricabatterie
per auto VMX 100 (502313), presa USB di un computer. Non ten­tare di caricare batterie diverse da quelle fornite con la cuffia
VMX 100 con alimentatore VMX 100 o caricabatterie per auto
VMX 100.

Durante il funzionamento

• L'ascolto ad un volume a livello elevato per periodi prolungati può

provocare difetti uditivi e deve quindi essere evitato.

• Osservare le norme vigenti nel proprio paese sull'uso dei telefoni

cellulari, delle cuffie e di apparecchi vivavoce nel traffico. Prestare
sempre la massima attenzione durante la guida!

• Questo apparecchio genera e utilizza e può irradiare energia a

radiofrequenza. Se non viene utilizzato in base alle istruzioni, si
possono verificare interferenze dannose alle comunicazioni radio.
È possibile, tuttavia, che si verifichino interferenze in particolari
installazioni.

Istruzioni di sicurezza delle batterie ricaricabili agli ioni di litio

VMX 100 è dotato di una batteria ricaricabile integrata agli ioni di
litio. Se utilizzate in modo errato, le batterie ricaricabili possono
perdere liquido.

Conservare le unità/batterie ricaricabili in un luogo fresco e
asciutto a temperatura ambiente (ca. 20°).

Caricare le batterie ricaricabili esclusivamente con carica­batterie consigliati da Sennheiser.

Quando le batterie non vengono utilizzate per periodi
prolungati, caricarle a intervalli regolari (ogni sei mesi per
circa 1 ora).

Caricare le batterie ricaricabili solo a temperature ambiente
comprese tra 10 °C e 40 °C.

Non caricare le batterie ricaricabili se l'unità è difettosa.

Restituire le unità difettose o le unità con batterie ricarica­bili difettose al rivenditore specializzato.

Guida di avvio rapido

f Per prima cosa caricare la cuffia.

Fare in modo che la prima carica duri 4 ore. In seguito, 2,5 ore sa-

ranno sufficienti per caricare completamente la batteria. Per i det-

tagli vedere pagina 9.

Configurazione di VMX 100

Caricamento della batteria nella cuffia

Se si effettua il caricamento per la prima volta, lasciare la batteria
sotto carica per almeno 4 ore senza interruzioni. In seguito, 2,5 ore
saranno sufficienti per caricare completamente la batteria.

Per caricare la batteria nella cuffia:

f Togliere la cuffia e chiudere l'asta del

microfono .

La cuffia è spenta.

f Collegare il cavo di carica USB alla presa

dell'alimentatore della cuffia .

f Collegare il connettore USB del cavo di

carica USB alla:

• presa USB dell'alimentatore VMX 100

oppure alla

• presa USB del caricabatterie per auto VMX 100 (solo VMX 100

3in1)

• oppure alla presa USB di un computer.

f Collegare l'alimentatore oppure il carica-

batterie per auto a un'uscita di corrente

adeguata.

Se la batteria è completamente scarica,

all'inizio del caricamento il LED  lam-

peggia in rosso. Durante il caricamento, il

LED  si illumina in rosso. Quando il ca-

ricamento è completo, il LED  si illumi-

na in blu.
La cuffia non può essere caricata quando è

in corso una chiamata. Una batteria comple­tamente carica fornisce un tempo di conversazione fino a cinque ore
o un tempo di standby fino a 100 ore. Quando la batteria è quasi
scarica:







• Il LED  si illumina in rosso.

• La cuffia emette tre bip ogni 30 secondi (3x).

• Significa che rimane a disposizione un tempo di conversazione

inferiore a cinque minuti.

Accensione/spegnimento della cuffia

Aprire l'asta del microfono .

La cuffia è accesa. Il LED  indica

l'attuale modalità operativa:

• Se il LED  lampeggia lentamen-

te in blu, la cuffia è già accoppiata
al telefono cellulare. La cuffia è
dunque pronta all'uso.

• Se il LED  lampeggia alternati-

vamente in rosso e blu, significa
che la cuffia non è ancora accoppiata al telefono cellulare. Ef­fettuare l'accoppiamento come descritto in “Accoppiamento
della cuffia con telefoni cellulari o altri dispositivi Bluetooth” a
pagina 11.

• Se la cuffia è già accoppiata a un telefono cellulare e se que-

st'ultimo ha una chiamata in entrata, è possibile rispondere
immediatamente alla chiamata aprendo l'asta del microfono
 senza fare nient'altro.

Per spegnere la cuffia:

f Chiudere l'asta del microfono .

La cuffia è spenta. Il LED  smette di

lampeggiare.

Tutte le impostazioni vengono salvate..

La batteria dura più a lungo se la cuffia

viene spenta quando non la si utilizza per

telefonare.





Accoppiamento della cuffia con telefoni cellulari o altri
dispositivi Bluetooth

Accoppiamento a un telefono cellulare

Per poter utilizzare la cuffia è necessario accoppiarla dapprima al
proprio telefono cellulare o a un dispositivo Bluetooth simile con
profilo vivavoce o profilo cuffia. Una volta accoppiata la cuffia al
cellulare, la cuffia risulta automaticamente collegata ogni volta che il
cellulare e la cuffia si rilevano a vicenda.

f Accertarsi che la cuffia sia accesa e che

venga collocata accanto al telefono cellu-

lare.

• Se la cuffia non è stata ancora accop-

piata a un telefono cellulare, la cuffia
stessa avvia automaticamente la mo­dalità di accoppiamento.

• Se la cuffia è stata in precedenza ac-

coppiata a un telefono cellulare, è ne­cessario attivare manualmente la mo­dalità di accoppiamento aprendo l'asta
del microfono  e tenendo contempo-
raneamente premuto il pulsante del volume .

• Il LED  lampeggia alternativamente in rosso e blu per indicare

che la cuffia è in modalità di accoppiamento.

f Avviare la ricerca di dispositivi

Bluetooth sul proprio telefono cel-

lulare (vedere il manuale del tele-

fono cellulare) e seguire le istru-

zioni visualizzate sul display del

telefono cellulare.

f Quando il telefono cellulare ha

rilevato la cuffia, selezionare

“VMX 100”.

Dopo che la connessione Bluetooth è riuscita, la cuffia viene iden-

tificata come “VMX 100” sul display del telefono cellulare.

f Quando il telefono cellulare richiede una parola chiave, immettere

quattro zeri (0000).

Se l'accoppiamento è riuscito, il LED  lampeggia lentamente in blu.

Una volta completata la procedura di accoppiamento, il telefono

cellulare sarà in grado di trasferire in cuffia l'audio della chiamata

– automaticamente oppure manualmente (consultare il manuale

del telefono cellulare per sapere se l'audio della chiamata viene

trasferito automaticamente oppure manualmente). Se l'accop-

piamento è riuscito la maggior parte dei telefoni cellulari mostra

sul display il simbolo della cuffia.

Accoppiamento ad altri dispositivi Bluetooth

Se si desidera accoppiare la cuffia ad altri dispositivi Bluetooth,
consultare il manuale del dispositivo Bluetooth.

Accoppiamento a più telefoni cellulari

Se si desidera accoppiare la cuffia a un secondo telefono cellulare,
occorre dapprima scollegare il primo telefono cellulare (consultare il
manuale del primo telefono cellulare). La cuffia è in grado di memo­rizzare fino a quattro profili di accoppiamento. Non appena si accen­de la cuffia, quest'ultima tenta la connessione all'ultimo telefono
cellulare al quale era collegata. Se il telefono cellulare non viene
rilevato dalla cuffia, è possibile connetterlo manualmente a uno degli
altri tre telefoni cellulari (consultare il manuale del rispettivo telefo­no cellulare).

Indossare la cuffia

f

Aprire l'asta del microfono .

La cuffia è accesa. Il LED  comincia

a lampeggiare lentamente in blu.

f Indossare la cuffia. È possibile indos-

sare la cuffia sia all'orecchio destro

che all'orecchio sinistro senza doverla

cambiare.

f Ruotare l'asta del microfono  verso

la bocca.



L'altoparlante  opera in due direzioni per consentire di indossare la
cuffia all'orecchio sinistro o destro senza doverla cambiare. Tuttavia,
l'altoparlante è concepito in modo che persone nelle vicinanze non
possano ascoltare la conversazione in cuffia e non vengano distur­bate dall'altoparlante.

Funzionamento di VMX 100

Esecuzione di una chiamata con VMX 100

Rispondere a una chiamata in entrata

f Assicurarsi che la cuffia sia accoppiata al telefono cellulare (vede-

re “Accoppiamento della cuffia con telefoni cellulari o altri dispo-

sitivi Bluetooth” a pagina 11).
Quando si riceve una chiamata, una suoneria

risuona nell'altoparlante  e il LED  lam-
peggia velocemente in blu. Per rispondere alla
chiamata se la cuffia è già accesa:

f Premere il pulsante di aggancio  o il

pulsante del volume .

Nella cuffia si sente un bip.

f Iniziare a parlare.

Per rispondere alla chiamata se la cuffia non è
già accesa:

f Aprire l'asta del microfono .

La cuffia si accende rispondendo così automaticamente alla chia-

mata senza fare nient'altro.

f Indossare la cuffia sull'orecchio.
f Iniziare a parlare.









Rifiutare una chiamata in entrata

f Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante di aggancio  mentre il

telefono cellulare suona fino a sentire un bip in cuffia.

La suoneria si arresta. A seconda delle impostazioni del telefono

cellulare, la chiamata viene rifiutata o trasferita a una casella vo-

cale.

Effettuare una chiamata

f Comporre come sempre il numero sul proprio telefono cellulare.

Se il telefono cellulare trasferisce automaticamente l'audio della

chiamata alla cuffia, si sente un bip in cuffia.

Se il telefono cellulare non trasferisce automaticamente l'audio

della chiamata alla cuffia, occorre premere il pulsante sul telefono

cellulare che consente di trasferire manualmente l'audio della

chiamata alla cuffia.

f Iniziare a parlare.

Ripetizione

f Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante di aggancio  per 1,5

secondi.

Nella cuffia si sente un bip. Il telefono cellulare ripete automati-

camente l'ultimo numero composto.

Composizione vocale

La funzione di composizione vocale deve
essere supportata dal telefono cellulare e
attivata.

f Premere il pulsante di aggancio 
f Pronunciare il nome dell'interlocutore.

Il telefono cellulare compone automati-

camente il numero corrispondente.

Concludere una chiamata

f Premere il pulsante di aggancio 

oppure





chiudere l'asta del microfono  oppure

utilizzare il telefono cellulare per concludere la chiamata.

Nella cuffia si sente un bip. La chiamata viene conclusa.

Per trasferire una chiamata in corso dal telefono cellulare alla
cuffia

f Premere il pulsante di aggancio 

Nella cuffia si sente un bip. L'audio della chiamata è trasferito alla

cuffia.

Per trasferire una chiamata dalla cuffia al telefono cellulare

f Consultare il manuale del proprio telefono cellulare per sapere

come trasferire l'audio di una chiamata dalla cuffia al telefono cel-

lulare

Se si esce dal raggio di trasmissione

Se la cuffia esce dal raggio di trasmissione del telefono cellulare
durante una chiamata:

f La qualità audio si riduce prima dell'interruzione definitiva del

collegamento.

f Il telefono cellulare visualizza la perdita della connessione.
f Consultare il manuale del proprio telefono

cellulare per sapere se quest'ultimo conclu-

de o meno la chiamata automaticamente.

Modifica del volume dell'altopar­lante

f

Premere il pulsante del volume  durante

una chiamata.

Il volume dell'altoparlante viene modificato

di un livello. Il volume dell'altoparlante può

essere regolato su 8 livelli. L'impostazione

di fabbrica è il livello 4. Quando si raggiunge il volume minimo o

massimo, nell'altoparlante  si sente un bip.





Inoltre, l'intelligenza adattiva “apprende” le impostazioni preferite
dell'utente e regola il volume automaticamente.

Chiudendo la cuffia, l'impostazione del volume corrente viene salvata
se rientra nei livelli da 1 a 6. Se il volume è impostato sul livello 7 o 8,
per salvaguardare l'udito viene salvato il livello 6.

Modifica del volume della suoneria

f

Premere il pulsante del volume  mentre la cuffia è in modalità

standby (nessuna chiamata attiva).

Il volume della suoneria viene modificato di un livello. La suoneria

suona una volta al volume impostato. Il volume impostato viene

memorizzato.
Il volume della suoneria può essere impostato tra il livello 1 e il livel-

lo 8. L'impostazione di fabbrica è il livello 4.

Attivazione/disattivazione del silenziamento del mi­crofono della cuffia

Per attivare il silenziamento del microfono
della cuffia:

f Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante di

aggancio  durante una conversazione fi-

no a udire un bip in cuffia.

Il microfono viene silenziato. Nella cuffia vi-

ene emesso un segnale acustico ad alta fre-

quenza ogni 1,5 secondi.
Per disattivare il silenziamento del microfono

della cuffia:

f Premere il pulsante di aggancio  oppure

premere il pulsante del volume .

L'emissione di segnali acustici si arresta. Il microfono funziona

come sempre.





Ripristinare le impostazioni di fabbrica

Per ripristinare le impostazioni di fabbrica del volume dell'altoparlan­te e dell'accoppiamento procedere come segue:

f Portare la cuffia in modalità di accoppia-

mento come descritto in “Accoppiamento

della cuffia con telefoni cellulari o altri di-

spositivi Bluetooth” a pagina 11.

f Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante di

aggancio  mentre la cuffia si trova in

modalità di accoppiamento fino a quando

il LED  smette di lampeggiare.

Il LED  lampeggia alternativamente in

rosso e blu per indicare che la cuffia è in

modalità di accoppiamento. L'accoppia-

mento della cuffia deve essere nuovamente effettuato prima

dell'uso.

Cura e manutenzione

Se si prevede di non utilizzare la cuffia per un
periodo di tempo prolungato:

f Chiudere l'asta del microfono .
f Conservare la cuffia in un luogo fresco e

asciutto.
Pulizia della cuffia:

f Pulire esclusivamente con un panno asciutto. Non utilizzare

liquidi, solventi o detergenti.







Uso previsto

El VMX 100 es un accesorio para teléfonos móviles o cualquier

Bluetooth en entornos secos.

Se considera un uso inadecuado cuando el VMX 100 se utiliza

• para cualquier aplicación no mencionada en estas instrucciones,

• en condiciones de funcionamiento que se desvían de las descritas

en estas instrucciones.

Instrucciones generales

• No desmonte ni modifique nunca los componentes del VMX 100.

• La batería recargable integrada puede ocasionar un riesgo de

incendio o de quemadura química si no se trata adecuadamente.
Por lo tanto, no desmonte, caliente por encima de los 40 °C ni
incinere la batería recargable.

• Sennheiser Communications no se hace responsable de los daños

que puedan derivarse de la pérdida de conexión a causa de una
batería agotada, de una batería vieja o que supere el alcance de
transmisión.

Antes del funcionamiento

• Utilice el VMX 100 sólo en lugares secos y mantenga los líquidos y

las piezas pequeñas conductoras de electricidad alejadas del
VMX 100 y de sus tomas de conexión.

• No exponga el VMX 100 a temperaturas extremas. Las temperaturas

de funcionamiento normales son de 10 °C a 40 °C.

• Guarde el auricular en un entorno limpio y sin polvo.

Durante la carga

• No lleve puesto el auricular durante la carga.

• Sennheiser Communications no se hace responsable de los daños

en los dispositivos USB que no estén de acuerdo con las
especificaciones USB.

• El auricular debe cargarse con la fuente de alimentación del VMX 100

(UE: 502310, RU: 502311, USA: 502312), el cargador de vehículo del
VMX 100 (502313) o con una toma USB de un ordenador. No intente
recargar nunca baterías distintas de las del auricular VMX 100 con la
fuente de alimentación del VMX 100 o con el cargador de vehículo del
VMX 100.

Durante el funcionamiento

• Evite escuchar a niveles de volumen elevados durante largos

periodos ya que esto podría provocar defectos auditivos
permanentes.

• Observe las normas nacionales de utilización de teléfonos móviles,

auriculares y equipos de manos libres en el tráfico. ¡Concentre
siempre su atención en la conducción segura!

• Este equipo genera, utiliza y puede emitir energía de frecuencia de

radio y, si no se utiliza de acuerdo con las instrucciones, puede
provocar graves interferencias con las comunicaciones por radio.
Sin embargo, no se garantiza que no se produzcan interferencias
en una instalación concreta.

Instrucciones de seguridad para baterías recargables de polímero de litio

El VMX 100 tiene una batería recargable de polímero de litio
integrada. Si se abusa de ellas o se utilizan mal, las baterías
recargables pueden debilitarse.

Guía de configuración rápida

f Primero cargue el auricular.

Deje que se cargue durante 4 horas. Después 2,5 horas son

suficientes para cargar totalmente la batería. Para más

Configuración del VMX 100

Carga de la batería en el auricular

Si es la primera vez que carga la batería, deje que se cargue durante
al menos 4 horas ininterrumpidas. Después 2,5 horas son suficientes
para cargar totalmente la batería.

Para cargar la batería en el auricular:

f Retire el auricular y cierre el micrófono

integrado 쐃.

El auricular está desactivado.

f Conecte el cable de carga USB a la toma

del auricular para la fuente de

alimentación 쐂.

f Conecte el enchufe USB del cable de

carga USB:

• o bien a la toma USB de la fuente de

alimentación del VMX 100

• o bien a la toma USB del cargador de vehículo del VMX 100

(sólo VMX 100 3in1)

• o bien a una toma USB de un ordenador.

f Conecte la fuente de alimentación o el

cargador de vehículo, respectivamente, a

la salida de potencia apropiada.

Si la batería estaba totalmente agotada,

el LED 쐄 parpadea en rojo al inicio del

proceso de carga. Durante la carga el

LED 쐄 se ilumina en rojo. Cuando se ha

completado la carga el LED 쐄 se ilumina

en azul.
El proceso de carga no puede iniciarse

durante una llamada en curso. Una batería
totalmente cargada proporciona un tiempo de conversación de cinco
horas o un tiempo en espera de hasta 10 horas. Cuando la batería

esté a punto de agotarse:

• El LED 쐄 parpadea en rojo.

• Se oyen tres señales acústicas en el auricular cada 30 segundos

(3x).

• Quedan menos de cinco minutos de conversación.

Activación y desactivación del auricular

El auricular está activado. El LED 쐄

indica el modo de funcionamiento

actual:

• Si el LED 쐄 destella lentamente

en azul, el auricular ya está
acoplado a un teléfono móvil. Por
lo tanto, el auricular está listo
para ser utilizado.

• Si el LED 쐄 destella alternativamente en rojo y en azul, el

auricular aún no está acoplado a un teléfono móvil. Acoplarlo
como se describe en “Acoplamiento del auricular a teléfonos
móviles u otros dispositivos Bluetooth.” en la página 11.

• Si el auricular ya está acoplado a un teléfono móvil y se

produce una llamada entrante en el teléfono móvil, la llamada
es contestada inmediatamente con la apertura del micrófono
integrado 쐃 sin ninguna otra acción.

Para desactivar el auricular:

f Cierre el micrófono integrado 쐃.

Acoplamiento del auricular a teléfonos móviles u otros
dispositivos Bluetooth.

Acoplamiento a un teléfono móvil

Para poder utilizar el auricular, primero debe acoplarlo al teléfono
móvil o a un dispositivo similar con un perfil de manos libres o de
auricular Bluetooth. Una vez acoplado el auricular a un teléfono
móvil, se conecta automáticamente cada vez que este teléfono móvil
y el auricular se detectan mutuamente.

f Asegúrese de que el auricular está

encendido y situado cerca del teléfono

móvil.

• Si todavía no ha acoplado el auricular

con un teléfono móvil, el auricular
introduce el modo de acoplamiento
automáticamente.

• Si ya ha acoplado antes el auricular a

otro teléfono móvil, debe introducir el
modo de acoplamiento manualmente
abriendo el micrófono integrado 쐃
mientras pulsa al mismo tiempo el
botón de volumen 쐏.

• El LED 쐄 destella alternativamente en rojo y en azul para

indicar que el auricular está en modo de acoplamiento.

f En su teléfono móvil, inicie una

búsqueda de dispositivos Blue-

tooth (vea el manual de su

teléfono móvil) y siga cualquier

f Cuando su teléfono móvil le pida una palabra clave, introduzca

cuatro ceros (0000).

Si el acoplamiento ha tenido éxito, el LED 쐄 destella lentamente

en azul.

Una vez acoplado, su teléfono móvil podrá transferir el audio de

la llamada al auricular, automática o manualmente (vea en el

manual de su teléfono móvil si el audio de la llamada es

transferido automática o manualmente). La mayoría de los

teléfonos móviles muestran un símbolo de auricular en su

pantalla si se han acoplado con éxito.

Acoplamiento con otros dispositivos Bluetooth

Si desea acoplar el auricular a otros dispositivos Bluetooth, vea el
manual del dispositivo Bluetooth.

Acoplamiento a varios teléfonos móviles

Si desea acoplar el auricular a un segundo teléfono móvil, primero
debe desconectarlo del primer teléfono móvil (vea el manual del
primer teléfono móvil). El auricular conserva hasta cuatro perfiles de
acoplamiento. En cuanto el auricular se activa, trata de conectar con
el último teléfono móvil con el cual estaba conectado. Si el auricular
no detecta este teléfono móvil, puede conectarlo manualmente con
uno de los otros tres teléfonos móviles (vea el manual del teléfono
móvil correspondiente).

Cómo llevar el auricular

El altavoz 쐋 funciona en dos direcciones de forma que puede llevar
el auricular en el oído izquierdo o derecho sin cambiarlo. Sin
embargo, el altavoz está diseñado de forma que otras personas en la
proximidad no puedan escuchar a la otra parte y no sean molestadas
por el altavoz.

Telefonear con el VMX 100

Aceptación de una llamada entrante

f Asegúrese de que el auricular está acoplado a su teléfono móvil

(vea “Acoplamiento del auricular a teléfonos móviles u otros

dispositivos Bluetooth.” en la página 11).
Cuando recibe una llamada, escucha un tono

Rechazo de una llamada entrante

f Pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón de conexión 쐇 mientras el

teléfono móvil está sonando hasta que se oiga una señal acústica

en el auricular.

El tono de timbre se para. Dependiendo de los ajustes del teléfono

móvil, la llamada es rechazada o transferida a un buzón de voz.

Realización de una llamada

f Marque el número en su teléfono móvil como de costumbre.

Si su teléfono móvil transfiere automáticamente la llamada de

audio al auricular, se oye una señal acústica en el auricular.

Si su teléfono móvil no transfiere automáticamente la llamada de

audio al auricular, debe pulsar un botón en su teléfono móvil para

transferir manualmente la llamada de audio al auricular.

f Empiece a hablar.

Remarcado

f Pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón de conexión 쐇 durante

1,5 segundos.

Se escucha una señal acústica en el auricular. El teléfono móvil

vuelve a marcar automáticamente el último número marcado.

Marcación por voz

La función de marcación por voz debe ser
posible en su teléfono móvil y estar activada.

f Pulse el botón de conexión 쐇.
f Diga el nombre de la otra parte.

el número correspondiente.

Finalización de una llamada

f Pulse el botón de conexión 쐇 o cierre

el micrófono integrado 쐃 o utilice su teléfono móvil para finalizar

Transferencia de una llamada en curso desde el teléfono móvil al

llamada es transferido al auricular.

Transferencia de una llamada desde el auricular al teléfono móvil

f Vea el manual de su teléfono móvil para saber como transferir el

audio de la llamada desde el auricular a su teléfono móvil.

Si abandona el alcance de la transmisión

Si el auricular sale del alcance de transmisión del teléfono móvil
durante una llamada:

f La calidad del sonido se deteriora antes de que la conexión

finalmente se pierda.

f Puede que su teléfono móvil muestre la pérdida de conexión en la

pantalla.

f Vea el manual de su teléfono móvil para saber si éste finaliza

automáticamente o no la llamada.

Ajustes del volumen del altavoz

f

Pulse el botón de volumen 쐏 durante una

llamada. El volumen del altavoz cambiará

en un paso. El volumen del altavoz puede

ajustarse en ocho pasos. El ajuste de

fábrica es 4. Cuando se alcanza el volumen

mínimo o máximo, se escucha una señal

acústica en el altavoz 쐋.
Además, la inteligencia adaptativa "aprende"

los ajustes preferidos del usuario y ajusta el
volumen automáticamente.

Si cierra el auricular, se guarda el volumen actual si está ajustado en
uno de los pasos 1 a 6. Si el ajuste del volumen está en el paso 7 u 8,
se guarda en el paso 6 para proteger su audición.

Ajustes del volumen del tono de timbre

f

Pulse el botón de volumen 쐏 mientras el auricular está en modo

de espera (sin llamada activa).

El volumen del tono de timbre cambiará en un paso. El tono del

timbre se reproduce una vez en el volumen ajustado. El volumen

ajustado queda guardado.
El volumen del tono de timbre se puede ajustar entre el paso 1 y el

paso 8. El ajuste de fábrica es 4.

Silencio/sonido del micrófono del auricular

Para silenciar el micrófono del auricular:

f Pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón de

conexión 쐇 durante una conversación

hasta que se oiga una señal acústica en el

auricular.

El micrófono queda silenciado. Se escucha

una señal acústica cada 1,5 segundos en el

auricular.
Para activar el sonido del micrófono del

auricular:

f Pulse el botón de conexión 쐇 o

pulse el botón de volumen 쐏.

La señal acústica se detiene. El micrófono funciona como es

habitual.
