Thank you for choosing Senal.
The Senal XU-1648 XLR-to-USB Interface enables you to plug your dynamic or condenser XLR microphone into your computer’s USB port. The 16-bit/48-kHz sampling rate delivers studio-quality sound, and the interface provides switchable phantom power for condenser microphones. The headphone output allows latencyfree monitoring, with a headphone level for volume control and a monitor level to adjust the balance between playback audio and the microphone.

Getting Started
If you are using Macintosh OS X, open up System Preferences and select Sound. Select USB Audio CODEC as the default device on the Input and Output tabs.
Monitoring with Your Headphones
You can plug your headphones directly into the XU-1648 to monitor your recording without the latency that often occurs when monitoring through a computer’s headphone jack. To monitor through your XU-1648, plug your headphones into the headphone output.
Use the headphone level to adjust the headphone volume. Use the monitor level to adjust the balance between the microphone and the playback audio.
Note: Turn off monitoring in the recording channel of your audio software to prevent hearing both the delayed and the latency-free audio.
Important! To avoid an accidental burst of high volume, make sure to turn down the headphone level before plugging in your headphones.
Microphone Level Adjustment
Use the microphone level to adjust your microphone’s input gain. If the peak level indicator changes from green to red, turn down the microphone level.
