Important Safety Instructions
Read all of the instructions contained in this manual.
DO NOT operate the machine with wet hands.
DO NOT run juicer for more than 30 minutes continuously at any one time.
Keep the machine out of reach of children and infirm persons. Young children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Never allow the cord to hang over benches or counters. Be aware that children if unsupervised may pull the appliance from the bench or place the cord around their neck causing injury or death.
Never try to overcome the blocking and safety mechanisms of the machine.
Before any cleaning, checking or maintenance, stop and unplug the machine.
DO NOT pull the power cord to disconnect the machine. DO NOT operate any
appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when the juicer is not in use, before
disassembling, putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
Avoid contacting moving parts. Keep hands and utensils away from the container
during operation to reduce the risk of injury to persons and/or the machine.
DO NOT use attachments other than those supplied with the machine or by
Semak. Always operate Vitafruit with the food chute in place.
To protect against electric shock, DO NOT place the machine on hot surfaces or
immersed in water or any other liquids. DO NOT use the appliance outdoors.
DO NOT attempt to repair the machine.
This appliance should be used according to the instructions. MISUSE of this
appliance will cause HAZARD.
CAUTION: The auger is a rotating gear which can cause injury such as de-gloving,
crushing and scalping.
Never try to push fruit into the auger with fingers or utensils
Always operate with the food chute in place
To reduce the risk of personal injury, long apron strings, clothing and hair should
be carefully tied back to prevent becoming caught in rotating parts.
When crushing hard fruits, vegetables, nuts or coffee monitor the temperature of
the motor and processed product. Turn the motor off if motor or processed product becomes warm/hot

Operating Instructions for Semak Vitafruit VF1000
1. While the Vitafruit Living Juicer / Food Processor can extract juice from
unpeeled fruits and vegetables we recommend you thoroughly wash and peel your fresh ingredients to remove accumulated chemicals.
2. Cut fruit or vegetables into small pieces (about 2 inches) so that juice may be
extracted more thoroughly.
3. Turn on the machine and let it run without interruption until all the juice has
been extracted.
4. If the juicer starts to vibrate slightly during operation, turn off the machine and
empty the drum set.
5. Re-assemble and resume normal operation.
6. After placing the last pieces of fruits or vegetables into the hopper, keep the
machine running for a few seconds longer to ensure the machine has extracted the last drops of juice.
7. Switch off machine.
8. Clean drum set after each use of the Vitafruit Living Juicer / Food Processor.
9. DO NOT run the machine for more than 30 minutes at a time.
10. Wash the Vitafruit Living Juicer / Food Processor’s screw and parts in warm,
soapy water in your kitchen sink and rinse well.
11. Do Not Place Parts Or Accessories In Your Dishwasher.
12. Do not immerse unit in water. Clean with a damp cloth.
Choosing the Right Strainer
Material Strainer
Apples, oranges, pears grapes, strawberries, kiwi fruit, tomatoes, avocadoes, aloe plant, radishes, beet tops, (fruit) spinach, carrots, yams wheat grass
Juicing Strainer
Red/green pepper, garlic, ginger, herbs, soaked rice and beans, fresh fish and meat

Pasta, Noodles, Breadstick

Assembly Instructions for the Semak Vitafruit VF1000
1. Connect drum with main body by turning locking clip clockwise (about 60°). Place hopper onto guide.
2. For juicing function, Place the screw into the drum. Insert the juicing strainer into the drum. Place the drum cap onto the drum end and turn it counter-clock-wise until it clicks firmly into place.
3. For mincing function, Place the screw into the drum. Insert the mincing strainer into the drum. Place the drum cap onto the drum end and turn it counter-clock- wise until it clicks firmly into place. If interested in making pasta, noodles or breadstick, please proceed to page 8.
4. Place juice bowl and waste bowl under drum set. Plug power cord into wall outlet.
5. Press the ON button. Place a few pieces of cut fruit or vegetables, one at a time into the guide. Use the food pusher to press the fruit or vegetables gently down the guide.
6. DO NOT place any metal objects into the hopper. If the drum set is plugged or the machine stops operating, press the reverse button 2 to 3 times and press the on button again to resume normal operation.

7. Switch the juicer OFF before changing accessories or touching any moving parts. Remove the drum set from the main body by turning the locking clip counter-clock wise. Pull the screw forward to disassemble it from the drum set. After juicing wash all parts in warm soapy water. Do NOT place any of the juicer accessories in the dishwasher.
8. Do NOT run juicer for more than 30 minutes continuously at any one time.
Making Pasta, Noodles, Breadsticks
1. Open drum cap. Replace juicing strainer with mincing strainer. Choose and place the desired nozzle into the front end of the mincing strainer. Turn drum cap counter­clockwise until it clips firmly into place.
2. Sprinkle a small amount of wheat flour on the holding dish, placed under the spout. Press ON button. Push pasta dough through the food guide without stopping.
3. Use scissors to cut the pasta to desired lengths. Cook according to recipe used.
Disassemble unit and rinse all parts and accessories first in cold water. Then wash in warm soapy water in your sink NOT in your dishwasher.

Maintenance Check the following each day:
Container and motor base are properly cleaned.
Juicing drum is properly reassembled
Juicing drum is properly located on the motor body.
Check the following each week:
Motor sounds fine and is not smelly ie. Burning smell.
Auger does not emit squeaking/whining sound that could be attributed to worn bearing
Plunger has not been lost
Water-tightness of motor base
Check the following each month:
Container is clean and no residual build up.
Motor and container operation sounds fine
The drive coupling and motor drive do not exhibit wear and tear
Visual Test in compliance with AS/NZS 3760
Check the following quarterly:
Determine the amount of use that your juicer is getting and when it should be serviced
All juicers should be serviced at least once per year and general maintenance
undertaken on the cutting unit and bearing. Since the auger bears the majority of wear and tear, all gears, bearings and the auger should be checked to ensure correct performance

The Foodservice Industry is deemed a hostile environment within the scope of AS/NZS 3760:2003. Semak Juicer MUST be routinely electrically tested for compliance with this standard if used commercially.
It is recommended that a Food Safety program such as HACCP be employed and that routine service and repair be undertaken at the time of electrical testing to ensure the correct operation and function of all parts.

Warranty
The Semak Vitafruit VF1000 is a commercial appliance. This product is guaranteed for 1 Year from the date of purchase against mechanical and electrical defects. If the fault is deemed caused by MISUSE/ABUSE the terms of the warranty are invalidated. If the product has been opened or tampered with (ie. In an attempt to repair it) the warranty is invalidated. All warranty repairs should be undertaken by Dimark Commercial Pty. Ltd.
It is against company policy to authorize warranty repairs over the phone. Service Agents will require a work order number from Semak to conduct warranty repairs.

SEMAK WARRANTY
THIS WARRANTY APPLIES ONLY TO PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED AND SOLD IN AUSTRALIA
The benefits conferred by this warranty are an alternative to all other rights and remedies in respect of the product which the consumer has under the Trade Practices Act and similar State and Territory Laws.
Semak Australia. Warrant each new SEMAK appliance manufactured by SEMAK to be free from defects in materials or manufacturing process for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase.
Should defects due to faulty materials or manufacturing process develop within the warranty period, the appliance will be repaired without charge providing all conditions of this warranty are observed.
1. Proof of Purchase and Warranty card must be retained and available on request.
2. This Warranty is void if the equipment has been damaged due to misuses neglect or is
used for a purpose for which it was not suited; and no repairs, alterations or modifications have been attempted by other than Semak or its authorised Service Agent.
3. Semak Australia. Reserves the right to reject a claim for warranty if service is required
due to misapplication, improper installation, inadequate wiring, and incorrect voltage conditions. Under no circumstances shall SEMAK or its agents bear responsibility for consequential damages of any kind.
4. Where required by Statute or local authority, equipment must be installed by qualified
person in accordance with all relevant regulations. Failure to do this will void product warranty.
5. Cost of transport of any appliance or part to and from SEMAK or its Service Agent is to
be paid by the owner.
6. A charge will be made where failure is due to neglect, abuse or accidental damage on
the part of the operator, or when no fault can be found or the fault is due to causes outside the control of Semak Australia.
7. The above does not preclude the purchaser from their Statutory rights as a consumer.
