Important Safety Instructions
Please read all of the instructions before using the Vitablend and ensure that other operators also read and are made to understand all safety and operating instructions. Save these instructions for Future reference.
Thank you for purchasing a Semak Vitablend Stick Blender.
1. Important notice: Ensure that the Vitablend’s push button switch is not depressed
and that the power supply is switched off before connecting to the electric outlet.
2. Use only on AC 220-240V – 50 Hz only.
3. Do not use an extension cord.
4. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug or motor end of the
appliance in water or any other liquid. Never put the Vitablend in a dishwasher.
5. Always switch off at the power outlet before removing the plug. Remove by
holding the plug - do not pull on the cord. When the appliance is not in use, or prior to cleaning, always switch off the power and removes the plug.
6. Disconnect power cord from the electrical outlet when the blender is not in use.
7. The Vitablend should not be used by children or infirm persons and care should be
taken when used near these persons. The Vitablend blender should not be used outdoors. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Never leave the blender unattended.
8. Avoid physical contact with moving parts. The cutting blades are very sharp and
care is needed when handling cutting blades, and only when the Vitablend blender is disconnected from the power supply. Never attempt to touch the cutting assembly when the blender is in operation.
9. Do not use on the stove or let the cord come into contact with any hot surface.
10.Keep hands and utensils out of the container while using the Vitablend to prevent the possibility of severe injury to persons or damage to the unit. A scraper may be used only when the unit is not in operation.
11.Never operate the Vitablend unless the shaft is immersed in blending ingredients. Never operate the Vitablend in an empty container.

Operating Instructions
The Semak Vitablend chops, blends and mixes quickly and efficiently. Use it to make sauces, soups, purees etc.
1. Before connecting to electrical outlet, clean blade end of Vitablend by wiping with
a damp cloth.
2. Ensure that the Vitablend’s push button switch is not depressed and that the
power supply is also switched off before connecting to the electrical outlet.
3. Please note that although this is a heavy duty appliance, it is not meant for
prolonged use in heavy mixtures that a larger model should handle. The Vitablend should be used intermittently in the following way, one minute on and one minute off with the task completed within three minutes. If the handle/motor body of the Vitablend begins to feel warm, it is being overused and should be turned off immediately and allowed to cool down before resuming operation.
4. The Vitablend will only operate while pressure is applied to the rubber capped
push button switch on the handle. To stop Vitablend, release pressure from the switch.
5. Insert the blade end of the Vitablend into the container and submerge in the
contents, then press the switch in for the required duration. Care should be taken not to stand the Vitablend in the container. Standing the appliance on the bottom of the container interrupts the appliances operation and risks placing undue pressure on the seals. Doing this causes pressure around the blade as mixture is sucked towards the blade but is prevented from moving away therefore the mixture has nowhere to go but up. Avoid using the blender this way as it can lead to bearing and electrical problems. Rather than standing the blender in the mixture, hold the blender suspended in the mixture so that a vortex action occurs.
6. Motor cuts off automatically once the switch is released. To prevent splashing, do
not lift blade end out of mixture whilst still in operation.
7. When used directly in a saucepan while cooking, always remove the saucepan
from the stove first.
8. When mixing or blending hot ingredients, the following precautions should be
observed:
a. Take care not to lift blender out of hot ingredients while motor is on, to
avoid splashing.
b. Do not stand directly over container of hot ingredients while operating
the Vitablend.
c. Use a tall container ensuring that it is no more than half full.
9. Do not leave the blender unattended or in the mixture when not in operation.

Cleaning and Maintenance Instructions
Always unplug the Vitablend from the power source before cleaning. The unit is easiest to clean by placing the blade under hot running water immediately after completing the blending task and wiping the blade dry to prevent tarnishing. Do not place Vitablend in a dishwasher or immerse in water.
Do not attempt to remove the wand or blade assembly. Clean motor/handle body by wiping with a barely damp cloth only. Never immerse the motor end, plug or cord in water or any other liquid. The bearing should be lubricated occasionally with a HACCP approved food grade lubricant by placing a couple of drops at the base of the cutting unit and drive shaft. Spin the blade to assist in the dispersion of lubricant into the bearing.
