Installation Instructions for Semak Coffee Dripolators
Please check that your Brew Basket is assembled correctly, with the spring wedged firmly at the bottom of the Brew Basket.
1. Place the Machine on a firm and horizontal surface with plenty of room above
to allow easy and safe filling of the water tank.
2. Plug machine into 220-240 V Australian Power Socket.
3. Place an empty glass decanter at the correct position under the Filter Basket.
4. Pour cold filtered water (no more than 1.8 Litres) into the water reservoir, wait
for 2 minutes for water to force the air out of the machine.
5. Turn the Switch to the On Position ensuring that the “In Use” Indicator
illuminates.
6. Some Hot Water should start to flow into the glass decanter
7. After 4~5 minutes, the “In Use” indicator will turn off indicating the brewing
process has ended.
8. Repeat the above process twice before brewing coffee for the first time to
ensure that the internal parts of the machine have been cleaned.
9. During above operation, it is normal to hear some brewing and pumping sounds
of water and to see some water vapour coming out of the machine.

Operating Instructions for Semak Coffee Dripolators
The Semak Coffee Dripolator is designed to brew large quantities of coffee for large volume bistros, cafes, restaurants, function centres, etc.
1. Place filter paper into the brew basket with an appropriate amount of coffee
(will vary depending on strength and blend, check coffee supplier’s recommendations)
2. Slide the Brew Basket into position.
3. Place the empty decanter (Pot or Airport) at the correct position under Brew
Basket.
4. Pour 1 full Glass Decanter of cold filtered water into the Water Reservoir.
5. Switch the power ON, the “Indicator” will light up.
6. Brewed coffee will start to flow into the glass decanter once the brew cycle has
completed. The Indicator light will turn off once the brewing cycle has completed.
7. Dispose of used coffee grounds and filter paper. Rinse the Brew Basket in clean
water. The unit is now ready for another batch of coffee.
Note 1: The Hot Plate is specially designed to keep coffee in the decanter warm. Do not place any other pots or thermos onto the Hot Plate.
Note 2: The Dripolator must not be cleaned by a water jet.
Note 3: Some water will always remain in the tubes/hoses of the machine and in the boiler. If not used for some time, the machine should be thoroughly cleaned to ensure old water has been cleared from the unit.

Cleaning Instructions for Semak Coffee Dripolators
It is important that the Machine and its accessories be kept clean after using.
For dirt and smudges on the Machine, it is best to clean them with a soft damp cloth, and if necessary with a non-corrosive and non-abrasive detergent or cleaner.
Descaling Instructions
The boiler of the unit will accumulate chalk and limestone over time due to the nature of water, requiring the machine to be descaled periodically. To keep the machine in best condition we recommend descaling the machine after 200 uses or 6 months, whichever one comes first.
1. Add 300ml fresh lemon juice or condensed lemon juice to 1 litre of filtered
water. Commercial descaling agents may also be used with caution.
2. Slide Brew Basket into position.
3. Place an empty pot at the correct position under the Brew Basket.
4. Pour the lemon juice/descaling solution into the Water Reservoir.
5. Turn the power switch ON.
6. Some of the hot water will drop into the jug. Once the lemon solution pushes
the water out of the boiler and pipes, turn the switch to OFF.
7. Wait for 5~6 minutes to enable the rest of the solution to run through with
sediments, then turn the power switch ON.
8. When the solution of lemon juice is no longer dripping out, set the power
switch to OFF.
9. Since some of the lemon juice solution will remain in the Machine, run the
brewing process several times with fresh filtered water until the taste and smell of the lemon juice is gone completely.
Note 1: Due to lime building up faster than you would imagine, we suggest Descaling as soon as the taste of coffee starts to be coloured.
Note 2: When left for extended periods of times, the machine should be Descaled before use.
