Warning
Antennas improperly installed or installed to an inadequate structure are very susceptible to wind
damage. This damage can be very serious or even life threatening. The owner and installer assumes
full responsibility that the installation is structurally sound to support all loads (weight, wind & ice)
and properly sealed against leaks. The manufacturer will not accept liability for any damage caused
by a satellite system due to many unknown variable applications.
1)2)Make sure to tighten wall mount rubber and wall mount joint together to prevent water from
leaking in the vehicle.
SELFSAT-CAMP antenna has to be folded down to driving direction before driving.
Before using this product please read this manual carefully and follow exactly all installation, mounting
& orientation instructions.
All the instructions should be followed in order to avoid any technical problems.
Any electric or magnetic eld close to the SELFSAT-CAMP may cause a bad reception or even cut o
the signal completely.
Do not drill the antenna plastic cover which protects the antenna from moisture.
Handle the antenna with care as any impact can cause damage to the electronics.
Do not open the cover. Any attempt to repair by a non-qualied person can be dangerous and void
the warranty.
Obstacles (buildings, trees, etc.) may block the reception of the signal from the satellite to the
antenna.
Do not paint or add any substance on the antenna cover, this will block the reception of the signal
from the satellite.
This product contains one universal LNB which is forbidden to add, change or modify discretionally.
For more precise details on the above points or for any information, please ask your retailer or
customer service.

Safety Instructions
What is SELFSAT-CAMP?
SELFSAT-CAMP is a Horn Array Type Flat Satellite Antenna with Dual Linear Polarization. It
receives signal from major Satellites and is the world’s rst manual antenna with 3 axis
control (including adjustable skew angle).
SELFSAT-CAMP can be used for both free to air and encrypted (requiring a subscription with
an operator) channel reception; it can also receive all High Denition channels with a
superior image quality. For the use and installation, please read the following instructions
and installation materials carefully.

How to use?
Step 1 : General Information
Surrounding environment and Antenna pointing menu

Frequency : 12640
Once all connected, turn on the TV and the Satellite receiver.
Select the Antenna Pointing Menu on your set top box.
You can check signal level on your TV. (Ensure that to choose “LNB : ON”)
The signal level and quality is indicated on the TV screen and will uctuate and change color according
to the adjustment & movement of the antenna while you are pointing & nding (azimuth, elevation
angle). The level indicates the power of the signal and the color is the signal reception quality from the
chosen satellite.
Please take reference to the pictures of the Azimuth, Elevation and Skew angle in the back pages of
this manual.

What are the Azimuth, Elevation and Skew Angle?
Make sure that there are no obstacles in front of SELFSAT-CAMP which can decrease the signal reception
quality, such as buildings or trees (You may keep in mind that trees will grow and may block the signal).

Step 2 : Adjust Azimuth, Elevation and Skew angle
Do not push up the antenna by holding elevation
control knob and skew control knob.
Turn the skew control knob should be limited up
& down to marked red. Over lining causes failure.
2. Lift the antenna pole
1. Preparation
Lift up the antenna pole up to red line to secure
enough adjustable space on the roof.
3. Adjust elevation
Turn the elevation control knob according to the
target satellite elevation angle.
4. Adjust skew
Turn the skew control knob according to the target
satellite skew angle.
5. Adjust azimuth
Turn the azimuth control pole.
The signal level and quality is indicated on the
TV screen. Please nd and hold the pole at the
position of the best signal.

Slightly turn the elevation and skew control knob for ne tuning.
The level indicates the power of the signal and the color is the signal reception quality from the
chosen satellite. Please nd and hold the pole at the position of the best signal.

Return the antenna to home position.
Elevation indicator has to be faced to the center of vehicle rear to conrm that the azimuth is adjusted
to right direction. (HOME position)

How to Install?
By following the instructions step by step, you can easily proceed to install
SELFSAT-CAMP by yourself or with the help of a professional antenna installer.
Step 1: Where to Install?
Please conrm enough space to allow SELFSAT-CAMP operation range
(cruising radius). It has to be installed on the at surface roof of a vehicle.
(Please install it on the center of car roof, if possible)
Take care that there is enough space to allow the folding SELFSAT-CAMP within its
operation range (cruising radius).

Step 5 : Connecting the Antenna and the Set top box
Once you have installed SELFSAT-CAMP on solid vehicle roof, the next step is to connect them all together.
In order to be able to watch your favorite satellite programs, you need to connect your satellite antenna to a
receiver with a cable.

Make sure all cable connections are correct and each connection is seated / tightened properly.
Inspect the inside of each cable connector for dirt or possible short of connector case/shield.
Make sure the Tilt and Elevation pointers are aligned correctly to the scales.
Make sure there are no obstructions (trees, buildings, windows, corner or overhang of your roof, your
body or hands) – the signal does not pass leaves, branches, glass, etc.
Make sure the satellite cable is connected to the “Sat In” jack, not the “Antenna In” jack. The “Antenna
In” jack at the back of the receiver is for o-air antenna input or cable TV input.
If all are done correctly but the signal is still not found, change the Elevation adjustment of the
antenna slightly (±2°, then ±4°from the called-for setting) and repeat the procedure.
Make sure the Access Card from your receiver is fully inserted into the Access Card slot and oriented
correctly.
Make sure to tighten wall mount rubber and wall mount joint together to prevent water from leaking
in the vehicle.
SELFSAT-CAMP has to be at HOME position before driving.

If the signal is not found, be sure the receiver user manual and the antenna
user manual have been followed closely, check the following:

Note
As for an area not stated in the pictures, you can visit to www.selfsat.com and
nd it from the column of Satellite nder under Customer service.
The satellite signal may be lost temporarily due to unusual heavy rainfall. An optimally aligned
antenna, along with the cable as short as possible, minimizes the chances of “rain fade.”
Make sure the antenna is mounted securely to prevent it from being fallen apart of alignment in a
heavy wind.
Heavy snow accumulation on the antenna may reduce the satellite signal strength; snow should be
swept away as soon as possible.
Tree foliage growth into antenna’s line-of-sight to the satellite may result in gradual loss of picture.

Warnung
Nicht ordnungsgemäß installierte Antennen oder Installationen an unzureichenden Strukturen sind sehr
anfällig für Windschaden. Dieser Schaden kann sehr schwerwiegend oder sogar lebensbedrohlich sein.
Der Eigentümer und Monteur trägt die volle Verantwortung, dass die Montage allen Belastungen
(Eigengewicht, Wind und Eis) gewachsen und ordnungsgemäß gegen Leckagen versiegelt ist.
Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Haftung für jegliche Schäden durch das Satellitensystem, da es zu viele
unbekannte Anwendungsmöglichkeiten gibt.

Die SELFSAT-CAMP Antenne muss vor dem Losfahren in Fahrtrichtung eingeklappt werden.
Bitte lesen Sie vor der Verwendung dieses Produkts diese Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig durch und
befolgen Sie genau alle Installations- und Montageanweisungen.
Alle Anweisungen sollten befolgt werden, um jegliche technische Probleme zu vermeiden.
Jegliche elektrische oder magnetische Felder nahe des SELFSAT-CAMP können schlechten Empfang
verursachen oder sogar den Empfang des Signals ganz verhindern.
Bohren Sie nicht in die Kunststoabdeckung der Antenne, da diese die Antenne vor Feuchtigkeit
schützt.
Handhaben Sie die Antenne mit Vorsicht, da Stöße die Elektronik beschädigen können.
Önen Sie nicht die Abdeckung. Jeder Reparaturversuch durch nicht qualizierte Personen kann
gefährlich sein und macht die Garantie ungültig.
Hindernisse (Gebäude, Bäume, usw.) können den Empfang des Satellitensignals blockieren.
Lackieren Sie nicht die Antennenabdeckung oder bringen irgendwelche Materialien an, da dies den
Empfang des Satellitensignals blockiert.

Was ist das SELFSAT-CAMP?
SELFSAT-CAMP ist eine ache Satellitenantenne, die aus einer Anordnung von Hornstrahlern
mit dualer linearer Polarisation besteht. Es empfängt das Signal der Hauptsatelliten und ist
die weltweit erste manuelle Antenne mit 3-Achsen-Kontrolle (einschließlich des einstellbaren
Neigungswinkels).
Das SELFSAT-CAMP kann sowohl für den frei empfangbaren als auch für verschlüsselten
(benötigt ein Abonnement des Betreibers) Empfang von Kanälen verwendet werden. Es kann
außerdem alle HD-Kanäle mit überragender Bildqualität empfangen.

Nachdem alles angeschlossen ist, schalten Sie den Fernseher und den Satellitenreceiver ein.
Wählen Sie das Antennen-Ausrichtungs-Menü auf Ihrer Set-Top-Box aus.
Sie können die Signalstärke auf Ihrem Fernseher überprüfen. (Stellen Sie sicher, dass „LNB: ON“
ausgewählt ist)
Die Signalstärke und Qualität wird auf dem Fernseher dargestellt und wird, entsprechend den Einstellungen und den Bewegungen der Antenne während des Suchlaufs (Richtungs- & Erhebungswinkel),
schwanken und die Farbe wechseln. Die Balkenlänge gibt die Signalstärke und die Farbe die Empfangsqualität des ausgewählten Satelliten wieder.
Bitte nehmen Sie Bezug auf die Bilder des Richtungs-, Erhebungs- und Neigungswinkel in den
hinteren Seiten dieses Handbuchs.

Schritt 2 : Änderung von Richtungs-, Erhebungs- und Neigungswinkel
Drücken Sie nicht die Antenne, indem
Höhensteuerknopf und Skew-Drehknopf.
2. Heben Sie den Antennenstab
1. Vorbereitung
Heben Sie den Antennenstab bis zur roten Linie,
um genug Freiraum auf dem Dach sicherzustellen.
3. Einstellung der Erhebung
Drehen Sie den Drehgri für den Erhebungswinkel
um den Winkel des Zielsatelliten einzustellen.
4. Einstellung der Neigung
Drehen Sie den Drehgri für den Neigungswinkel
gemäß des Winkels des Satelliten.
5. Einstellung der Ausrichtung
Drehen Sie den Antennenstab zur Ausrichtung.
Die Signalstärke und Qualität wird auf dem
Fernseher dargestellt. Finden und belassen Sie
den Stab an der besten Signalposition.

Drehen Sie leicht an den Drehgrien für Erhebung und Neigung zur Feinabstimmung.
Die Balkenlänge gibt die Signalstärke und die Farbe die Empfangsqualität des ausgewählten
Satelliten wieder. Bitte nden und belassen Sie den Stab an der besten Signalposition.
6. Feinabstimmung
Wählen Sie den Zielsatelliten aus (Prüfen Sie den Erhebungs- und Neigungswinkel im Handbuch)

Grundposition
1. Schrauben Sie den "Drehknopf M6X15” und beide “Drehknöpfe M6x25" ab.
※
SELFSAT-CAMP muss sich vor dem Fahren in der Grundposition benden
Verschrauben Sie den "Drehknopf M6X15" wie auf dem Bild unten und montieren Sie den Neigungskontrollknopf.
7. Montage "CAMP Halterung"
7-1. Montage Neigungskontrollknopf
Nach der Einstellung von Richtung, Erhebung und Neigung, befestigen Sie die "CAMP Halterung" an der
Wand des Wohnmobils mit “Innenbefestigung A/B/C”.

Drücken Sie nicht die Antenne, indem Höhensteuerknopf und Skew-Drehknopf.
4. Ziehen Sie die Antenne komplett herunter
5. Einstellung der Ausrichtung
Drehen Sie die Antenne zurück in die Grundposition.
Die Richtungsmarkierung muss zur Mitte des Fahrzeughecks zeigen, um die korrekte Ausrichtung
sicherzustellen (Grundposition).
Ziehen Sie die Antenne, mit Hilfe des Stabes, komplett herunter (Ziehen Sie dabei nicht an den Drehgrien zur Höhen- oder Neigungsverstellung)
3. Setzen Sie den Erhebungswinkel zurück auf 90°.2. Setzen Sie den Neigungswinkel zurück auf 0°.
