Warranty
SecurityMan Inc,. warrants that this product will be free from defects in title, materials and manufacturing workmanship for one year from the date of the purchase. If the product is found to be defective then, as your sole remedy
and as the manufacturer’s only obligation, SecurityMan will repair or replace the product.
This warranty is exclusive and is limited to SM-140SD. This warranty shall not apply to products that have been
subjected to abuse, misuse, abnormal electrical or environmental conditions, or any condition other than what can
be considered normal use.
Warranty Disclaimers
SecurityMan Inc,. makes no other warranties, express, implied or otherwise, regarding the SM-140SD-04, and
specifically disclaims any warranty for merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
The exclusion of implied warranties is not permitted in some states and the exclusions specified herein may not
apply to you. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. There may be other rights that you have which
vary from state to state.
Limitation of Liability
The liability of SecurityMan Inc,. arising from this warranty and sale shall be limited to a refund of the purchase
price. In no event shall SecurityMan be liable for costs of procurement of substitute products or services, or for any
lost profits, or for any consequential, incidental, direct or indirect damages, however caused and on any theory of
liability, arising from this warranty and sale. These limitations shall apply not with standing any failure of essential
purpose of any limited remedy.

Important Safeguards

All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the appliance is
operated.

All installation and operating instructions should be followed.
3) Accessories:
Do not place this monitor on an unstable stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The
monitor may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage
to the appliance. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by supplier, or sold with the monitor.
4) Cleaning:
Unplug this monitor from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
5) Water and Moisture:
Do not use this monitor near water, for example, near a bathtub, wash bowl,
kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, etc...
6) Ventilation:
Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and ensure reliable
operations of the monitor and protect it from overheating. These openings
should never be blocked by placing the monitor on a bed, sofa, rug, or other
similar surfaces. This monitor should never be placed near or over a radiator or
heat register. This monitor should not be placed in an enclosed area such as a
bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or supplier instructions
have been adhered to.
Caution
Power source is dedicated on the back of the set. It contains high
voltage parts, if the cover is removed, it may cause fire or electric
shock. Do not remove the cover by yourself.

7) Object and Liquid Entry:
Never push objects of any kind into this monitor through openings as they may
touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that would result in a fire or
electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the monitor.
8) Repair (Servicing):
Do not attempt to repair this monitor yourself as opening or removing covers
may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer to qualified service personnel.
9) Replacement Parts:
When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician uses
replacement parts specified by supplier or have the same characteristics as the
original parts. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock, or
other hazards.
10) Safety Check:
Upon completion of any service or repair to this monitor, ask the
service technician to perform safety checks to determine that the
monitor is in proper operating condition.
11) Retain Instructions:
The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.
General
Scope
1) The information in this instruction manual covers installation and operations
of the Color Monitor.
2) These units should be installed with approved materials and wiring practices
in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local wiring ordinances.
Introduction
1) The Color Monitor, having a resolution of more than 450/500 lines (NTSC) or
520/600 lines (PAL), produces high quality pictures on a 14" screen. Designed
primarily for industrial applications, this monitor accepts standard EIA color input
signals.
2) The menu’s picture settings include: Contrast, Bright, Color, Tint, Sharp, B.B.

Front panel components and controls
1) Press the MENU button to select Menu mode.
2) Press the SELECT or SELECT button to select the setting.
3) Press the ADJUST or ADJUST button to adjust its parameter.

Settings range in each Menu
Exiting From Menu Mode
After 10 seconds of no button activity in Menu mode, the Menu mode will close.
Adjusting Volume
1) Press ADJUST button to turn the volume down. Press the ADJUST button to turn the volume up.
2) After 4 seconds of no button activity with the volume bar displayed, the volume bar will close, and save the change.

Maintenance
If the quality of the picture on the COLOR MONITOR is poor and cannot be
improved, inspect all system connections and cable runs.
Repair should be performed by a qualified technician with adequate test equipment and facilities.
