The ENFORCER HL-Series RF transmitters and receivers offer significantly increased range with
greatly increased immunity to interference, whether physical obstacles, temperature extremes, or
other environmental factors. The wired transmitter allows you to easily make other devices
wireless.

Installation
External Switch Connection
To control a device wirelessly, install an ENFORCER HL-series RF receiver to the device to be
controlled and use the ENFORCER HL-951T1-SWQ transmitter to control it remotely. The wired
transmitter can control the remote device directly or attached to an external N.O. switch* (a button,
contact, or sensor). If installed to an external switch, the switch can have sole control (with the
transmitter button disabled), or so that either the external switch or the transmitter can control the
remote device (see also the Installation Notes on the following page).
Using the Transmitter's Built-In Button
The transmitter can be used directly with the battery or
can be connected to an external regulated power
adapter* (see Fig. 1).
If using an external power adapter, the internal battery
may be removed or can serve as a backup in case of a
power failure.
NOTE: Any unused wires must be insulated against any
accidental contact to avoid a short circuit.
Using an External Switch with Sole Control
An external N.O. switch* (e.g., a button such as an
RTE, a contact, or a sensor) may be connected inline
so that the transmitter functions solely as an RF
wireless addon to the external switch. This requires the
use of an external regulated power adapter*.

power adapter and transmitter as shown in Fig. 2.
NOTE: If connected to an external power-on switch, you must remove the battery to disable the
built-in button so that it can only be controlled by the power-on switch (see Fig. 2).
*External switch and regulated power adapter not included.
If you desire to have the option of using either the
external switch or the transmitter button to control the
remote device, connect as follows (see Fig. 3).

allow the transmitter button to also control the
remote device.
INSTALLATION NOTES
• Any wires not in use must be insulated to avoid a short-circuit.
• Do not let the red wire touch any other wire. Doing so may burn out the transmitter.
• If using an external power adapter, the factory-installed lithium CR-2032 battery will serve as a
backup in case of power interruption (Battery must be removed for external inline power-on
switch).
Power Connection
The HL-951T1-SWQ can be powered by the factory preinstalled 3VDC lithium battery (CR-2032) or
by an external 4.5~13VDC output regulated adapter (not included).
When using an external power adapter, correct polarity is imperative. Connect the transmitter's red
wire to the adapter's positive output and the black wire to the adapter's negative output (see
Figs. 1, 2, and 3 on the previous page).
NOTES
• The power input range of the wired transmitter is 4.5~13VDC and is polarity sensitive.
Connecting more than 13VDC or reversing the polarity will burn out the unit and void the
warranty.
• Use only "regulated" adapters to power the wired transmitter.
• The LED indicator will flash slowly when the button is pressed to indicate a low battery.
