For one year from the first day of use
in your home, Sears will repair, free of
charge, defects in material or workmanship
which appear in this dishwasher.

Full Ten-Year Warranty Against

Leaks in the Tub and Inner Door

Panel

For ten years from the first day of use in
your home, if a leak should occur as a

result of failure of the tub or inner door
panel due to cracking, chipping, or peeling,
Sears will replace, free of charge, the tub

or inner door panel.

If the dishwasher is subjected to other than
private family use, the above warranty
coverage is effective for only 90 days.

Warranty service is available by
contacting the nearest Sears Service

Center/Department in the United States.
This warranty applies only while this
product is in use in the United States.

WARNING:

Please follow these basic precautions, including the following:

dishwasher.

• Only use detergents and rinse agents
recommended for use in a dishwasher. •

• Store detergents and rinse agents in a
cool dry place out of children's reach.

• Do not tamper with controls.

• Do not operate dishwasher unless all

enclosure panels are properly in place.

• Always disconnect electrical power to

dishwasher before attempting to service
it. We recommend having a qualified

technician service your appliance.

• Remember, use dishwasher for its

•intended purpose.only.

• Do not wash plastic items unless marked

"Dishwasher Safe" or equivalent. If
unmarked, check manufacturer's
recommendations.

• This dishwasher must be properly

installed in accordance with the Instal,
lation Instructions before it is used.

( IOUNDING

To avoid risk of electrical shock,

the dishwasher must be electrically
grounded before it is operated.

If you did not receive Installation

Instructions with your dishwasher, you
can get a copy by contacting your Sears
Service Center.

Do not touch heating unit during
or immediately after use. Allow time to
cool.

Load sharp or pointed tableware with

handles up (points down) to avoid injury
when reaching into dishwasher.

Load sharp items and knives so they
aren't likely to damage door seal.

Do not sit or stand on or abuse
dishwasher door or dishracks.

• Do not allow children to play in or on
dishwasher.

• When discarding old dishwasher,

be sure to remove door to prevent
accidental entrapment.

• Do not install the dishwasher on
carpeted floor.

INSTRUCTIONS AWARNING:

• _nect to a properly rated, protected
= sized power-supply circuit to avoid

electrical overload.

• :l'hisappliance must be connected to
a grounded metal, permanent wiring
system; or an equipment-grounding

conductor must be run with the circuit
conductors and connected to the
equipment-grounding terminal or lead
of the appliance.

WARNING:

The improper connection of the
equipment-grounding conductor can

result in a risk of electric shock. Check

with a q_alified electrician or service

"representative if you are in doubt whether

the appliance is properly grounded.

Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas
may build up in a hot water system that

has not been used for two weeks or more.
HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. To
prevent injury or damage, before using
dishwasher, turn on all hot water faucets
and allow water to run for several
minutes. This will allow gases to escape.
As the ga_sis flammable, do not smoke or
use an open flame or appliance near
faucets while they are open.

NOTE: Do not store or use combustible
materials, gasoline or bther flammable

vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this
or any other appliance.

Agua Caliente
Para limpiar y secar los platos usted necesita

agua caliente. Para ayudarle a usted a obtener
agua a una temperatura aproplada, su

lavadora de platos calienta el agua

autom_ticamente en el clclo de lavado. Se
necesita agua a temperatura elevada para
disolver la grasa y activar los detergentes en

polvo. Para un buen lavado y secado, el agua
que entra debe tener una temperatura de por
Io menos 120°F. Para evitar daSo a los platos,
el agua entrante no debe exceder los 150°F. '

Compruebe la temperatura'de su agua con
un term6metro para caramelo o came.

Abra la Ilave del agua caliente m&s cercana
a la lavadora de platos. Ponga el term6metro

en un vaso y deje que el agua corra
continuamente dentro del vaso hasta que la
temperatura deje de subir. ..

No ponga a funcionar la lavadora de platos
durante o inmediatamente despu6s de otro
uso abundante de agua caliente, tal como

el lavado de ropa o un bar3o. • ..

Presi6n del Agua;
La presiSn del suminlstro de agua deber& estar

entre 15 y 120 libras por pulgada cuadrada.
Para determinar sl usted tlene suficlente

presi6n, ponga unreciplente con una
capacldad de un cuarto de gal6n debaJo de la
Ilave de agua caliente m_s cercana a la
lavadora de platos y abra la Ilave al m_ximo. Si
el reciplente se Ilena en menoS de 9 segundos;
la presi6n del agua est_ dentro de un margen

aceptable. Cerci6rese de que todas las dem&s

Ilaves de agua est_n corradas durarite esta

prueba;

Condiciones del Agua
En las areas donde el agua es muy dura (12

granos o m,_s), pudiera hacerse necesaria la
instalaci6n de un suavizador de agua para
asegurar el rendimiento apropiado de su

lavadora de platos. Si usted no sabe el grado
de dureza i:lesu suministro de agua, p6ngase
en contacto con su. departamento local de
agua o tralga una muestra a su tienda Sears

para hacer una prueba.

Detergentes

Use solamente detergentes especlales para
uso en lavadoras de plat0s autom&ticas.

• NUNCA use en su lavadora de platos
detergentes de lavar ropa, jabones Ifquidos u

otros Iimpiadores caseros. Algunos detergentes

ser&n m_s eficaces qua otros, de acuerdo con
las condiciones de su agua. Almacene el
detergente en un lugar fresco y seco.

Agentesde Enjuague

Los agentes de enjuague hacen que el agua
corra sobre los platos m&s rSpidamente que Io

•usual. Esto _lisminuye las manchas de agua y
hace que el secado sea m&s r_pido tambi_n.
