WarNING! ensure that Health & safety, local Authority regulations and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when
using tools.
8 dO NOt use tools if damaged.
9 maintain tools to ensure that they are in an adequate condition for safe use and optimum performance.
9 ensure that a vehicle that has been raised by a jack is adequately supported. use axle stands.
9 Wear suitable clothing to avoid snagging. dO NOt wear jewellery. tie back long hair.
9 Account for all tools, parts and components being used. dO NOt leave these in or near the engine. return tools to suitable storage
after use.
9 When not in use, store in a safe, dry childproof place.
9 Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.

2. INtrOduCtION
A must have tool for every workshop. Repairs light damage to CV joint threads. Set contains sizes to t the most common types of vehicle.
must be used with a light oil to lubricate thread. supplied in storage case.

4. OperatION
4.1. Provide appropriate lubrication while cutting threads.
4.2. remove the wheel axle nut.
4.3. choose the correct diameter and pitch thread chaser from the set.
4.4. screw the thread chaser onto the axle spindle, ensure the thread chaser is the correct way around face towards the thread. note:
the face is the side without the embossed writing.
4.5. When chasing a thread, turn ½ turn clockwise, then ¼ turn anti-clockwise and so on, this will allow the swarf to ow into the grooves of
the chaser.
4.6. chase the entire thread in this manner.
4.7. When complete, remove the thread chaser.
4.8. clean the axle thread and thread chaser to completely remove all traces of swarf.
4.9. return chaser to storage box.
