1. SAFeTY
WARNING! ensure Health & safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using this
equipment.

9 When not in use switch off equipment and store in a safe, dry, childproof area.

2. INTRODuCTION

4. OPeRATION
4.1. remove battery compartment door on rear and connect battery.
4.2. Screw probe into head of amplier.
4.3. Fit headphone plug into socket in the base of the amplier and put headset on.
4.4. Switch unit on by initial movement of thumb wheel. Red LED conrms that unit is switched on.
4.5. further movement of the thumb wheel increases the headset volume; about half volume is the optimum setting for initial use.
increasing the volume may be necessary for faint sounds, but an increase in background noise will also occur.
4.6. Place the tip of the probe against the suspect part, taking care to comply with safety instructions in section 1.
4.7. the sound pitch and quality will vary, giving an indication of the location and severity of any potential problem.
WARNING! Prolonged exposure to high volumes of noise, or sudden very loud noises can result in permanent hearing loss.
5. MAINTeNANCe
5.1. renew battery with a similar 9V item, refer to section 4.1.
5.2. clean with a damp cloth and a mild detergent DO NOT use solvents.
