1.SAFETY
9 Read the entire manual before using this product. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.9 The tester is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the tester by a person responsible for their safety.
8DO NOT operate the tester if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped or otherwise damaged in any way.8DO NOT not disassemble the tester.
9Batteries generate explosive gases during normal battery operation. To reduce the risk of a battery explosion,
follow these instructions and those published by the battery manufacturer or any equipment you intend to use
in the vicinity of the battery. Review the cautionary markings on these products and on the engine.
8DO NOT smoke or allow a spark or ame in the vicinity of a battery or engine.
9Remove personal metal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches when working with a lead-acid
battery. A lead-acid battery can produce a short-circuit current high enough to weld a ring or the like, to metal,
causing a severe burn.
9Reduce the risk of dropping a metal tool onto the battery. It might spark or short-circuit the battery or other
electrical part that may cause an explosion.
9Have someone nearby to come to your aid when you work near a lead-acid battery.9Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid contacts your skin, clothing or eyes.9If battery acid contacts your skin or clothing, immediately wash the area with soap and water. If acid enters
your eye, immediately ood the eye with cold water and obtain medical attention immediately.
9If battery acid is accidentally swallowed, drink milk or water. DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.

4.1. Be sure the area around the battery is well ventilated while the battery is being tested.
4.2. Clean the battery terminals. Be careful to keep corrosion from coming in contact with your eyes, nose and mouth.
4.3. Inspect the battery for a cracked or broken case or cover. If the battery is damaged, do not use the tester.
4.4. If the battery is not a sealed maintenance-free battery, check the level of each cell and if necessary, add distilled
water until the battery acid reaches the level specied by the manufacturer. This helps purge excessive gas from
the cells. DO NOT overll.
4.5. If necessary to remove the battery from vehicle to test it, always remove the ground terminal from the battery rst.
Make sure all accessories in the vehicle are off to ensure you DO NOT cause any arcing.
4.6. Modern vehic les contain extensive electronic systems. You are required to check with the vehicle Manufacturer, for
any specic instructions regarding the use of this type of equipment on each vehicle. No liability will be accepted for
damage / injury, where this product is not used in accordance with all instructions.
4.7. Note: The internal battery is charged during the connection to the battery being tested.

5.INSTALLING THE APP
5.1. Download and install the App “SEALEY BT3000”. (App Store or Google Pay). Look for the icon. Note: for
Apple devices it requires iOS 8.0 or latter, Android devices, OS 4.3 or later.
5.2. New Use Setup

1. Run the App on your mobile device.
2. Select “NEW USER” (g.2)
3. Fill in all of the required elds, and then check the box for “AGREE TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS”. Press
“CONTINUE” (g.3)
4. Log in: Enter the email address provided during registration. Check the box for” REMEMBER ACCOUNT”.
6.1. Before testing a battery in a vehicle, turn off the ignition, all accessories and loads. Close all of the vehicle`s
doors and boot lid.
6.2. Make sure the battery terminals are clean. Use a wire brush to clean them if necessary. Note: This tester works
best if the battery connects have been removed and the battery posts have been cleaned. Any corrosion between
the tester clamps and the battery connectors, or between the battery connectors and the battery posts, will
degrade the tester`s efciency.
6.3. Connect the positive (red) clamp to the positive (POS,P,+) battery post. Connect the negative (black) clamp to the
negative (NEG,N,-) battery post.
7. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
7.1. Battery Test
7.1.1. Run the App on your mobile device and log in.
7.1.2. Press “Scan+” in the upper right corner of the HOME screen. (If the TEST icon is red, the tester is connected; no
need to proceed to Scan+.) The system will scan and nd the tester.
7.1.3. Once the tester shows on the screen, select “Press To Start” to connect.
7.1.4. When connected, press “CONNECTED CONTINUE” (g.6). In this screen, the user may create a name for the
tester. (g.9) Swipe the “TEST>” area (g.7) of the active tester to bring up the Edit option. (g.8)
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging
should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the
environment.
When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain off any fluids
(if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and the fluids according to local
regulations.
WEEE Regulations
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be
disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling
information.

The battery is not intended for removal
