1. safety
1.1. General safety.
▲ DANGER! Take care when using and moving extended ladders in the vicinity of power cables - risk of potentially fatal electric
shock.
WarninG! ensure Health and safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using this
equipment.
9 familiarise yourself with the application and limitations of the ladder, as well as the potential hazards.
9 maintain the ladder in good condition.
9 Keep the work area clean, uncluttered and ensure there is adequate lighting.
WarninG! use ladder on level and solid ground and either have an assistant stand on the lowest rung or otherwise anchor the base
of the ladder to prevent slipping. ensure that the surface the ladder is standing on is able to support both the weight of the ladder
and yourself.
WarninG! do not use the ladder on sloping ground. When viewed from the front, the top of the ladder section(s) must always
be directly above the base.
8 do not use the ladder on a wet oor surface, or a oor surface contaminated with oil or similar substances.
WarninG! never over-reach when on the ladder, keep close to the centre line of the ladder.
9 Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working area and do not allow children to climb the ladder.
8 do not use the ladder for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
8 do not use the ladder if it is damaged or any parts are missing, as this may cause failure and/or personal injury.
8 do not climb higher than the second rung from the top of the ladder.
8 do not use the ladder when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
9 take care when lowering the ladder, ensuring that hands are kept clear of the rungs.
9 Wear slip resistant footwear, and ensure that the footwear soles and the rungs of the ladder are free of oil or similar substances.
9 Hold on to the ladder at all times when climbing.
9 When not in use, ensure ladder is fully retracted and store in a safe, dry, childproof location.

4. operation
g.1
4.1. Working Height.
4.1.1. The ladder can be extended from a compact (g.1) to either full length (g.2) or any intermediate length (g.3). See section 3 for max.
/ min. lengths.
4.2. locking mechanism.
4.2.1. the ladder locks every rung with two steel locking pins that automatically spring into place when the ladder is extended to the correct
position.
4.2.2. each locking pin is connected to a locking lever to indicate the locking status.
4.2.3. the locking levers drop down at an angle of 60 degrees or the sliding lock levers are at the ends of the rungs this means the locking
pins are engaged (g.4). If this is not the case the locking pins are in the unlocked position. (g.5).
4.3. Before use
4.3.1. check the ladder visually for damage.
4.3.2. ensue the ladder is suitable for the job.
4.3.3. carry out a risk assessment before using a ladder for work.

4.4. opening the ladder
4.4.1. The ladder is opened to its full length by placing it on a rm level surface. During opening, stabilize the ladder by placing one foot on
the lowest rung.
4.4.2. open the ladder from the top by gripping the top rung with both hands. extend the top section fully. At the same time check that both
locking levers are in the locked position. (g.4).
4.4.3. continue opening section by section until the ladder is open to its full length (g.2).
note! check each locking lever is in the locked position.
4.5. intermediate length
4.5.1. The ladder is opened to an intermediate length by placing it on a rm level surface during opening stabilize the ladder with one foot.
At the same time check that both locking levers placed on the lowest rung (g.6)
4.5.2. leave some steps as a group that is not opened, grip the middle step with both hands. extend the section fully, then the next section
