The two rear-mounted USB 2.0 ports allow you to connect
external USB ha rd drives for additional stora ge, easily share
a USB printer wit h your network connected com puters or
connect an uninte rrupted power supply (UPS) t o safeguard
from power failure.
Business-grade Prot ection
Software plays an important role in achieving business continuity and with the BlackArmor storage server, you can expect nothing less
than business-grade protection. To help protect your critical data, our software package provides automatic, incremental and full-system
backup. In the ev ent of PC hardware failure, you c an utilize the SafetyDrill+™ bare metal restore software feature to recover your entire
system, including the operating system, program s and settings. The included software also allows you to secure your files with powerful
hardware-based encryption. Furthermore, the two internal drives can be congured to RAID 1, which automatically mirrors your data.
You’re in Control
In addition to th e included software, the web-b ased
management interface and BlackArmor® Discovery Tool are
also straightforw ard to use. The BlackArmor Dis covery Tool
allows you to get up and running quickly by d isplaying all of
the BlackArmor NA S products connected to your n etwork.
From the Discovery Tool, with a single click, you can view or
map shared volumes to your computer, access the webbased management interface or back up the PC you are
working from. The B lackArmor NAS 220 storage se rver
can also be manag ed remotely with DDNS, which c an be
configured from the we b-based management interface or
backup.
The BlackArmor® NAS 220 storage server can also function
as an FTP server, allowing remote access to les. Using the
web-based managem ent interface, you can desig nate user
access manually or integrate with Microsoft® Active Directory.
Moreover, the BlackArmor NAS 220 storage server can
stream media les to DLNA® compliant device s or computers
running iTunes® software, allowing you to centralize media
in your office and display content simultaneou sly on multiple
devices.
