Designed for the STB / DVR

Environment

The hard drive has been engineered to

combine performance with low power

consumption and acoustics. The design

improves box reliability by minimizing

additional heat output, and quiet operation

enhances viewer experience.

Delivering reliability

The QuickView 320 hard drive provides

maximized reliability. The ramp load feature

parks heads when not in use to avoid

data loss due to shock and mishandling.

Maxtor‘s leading head technology allows

a 0 to 70°C operating temperature range1

for increased margin in the demanding

environment of PVR and media systems.

The hard drive offers advanced

thermal monitoring and logging using

HDD SMART technology.

The Maxtor developed Shock Protection

System™ and Data Protection System™

provides enhanced protection against

operating and non operating shock.

QuickView Features

with a choice of 3.0Gb/s Serial ATA or

parallel ATA/133 interfaces. Available

SATA II features include Native Command

Queuing2, which intelligently reorders

read and write commands to optimize

drive efficiency and performance.

The QuickView 320 hard drive complies

with the EU directive for Restriction of
