Cross-platform storage and file sharing: Preconfigured for Microsoft, Macintosh and UNIX-based networks, the Seagate NASRaQ connects directly to your existing network and file servers. It also communicates with almost any client PC without special software. Users can access NASRaQ storage through the Windows Network Neighborhood or Macintosh Chooser and can transfer files by dragging and dropping icons.
Fast, easy installation and administration: A person without training can install a NASRaQ in less than 15 minutes. A setup wizard quickly guides you through the installation. If you are already in an NT domain, the NASRaQ can authenticate you in the NT domain, ensuring instant integration. The administrator can manage users, groups and shares from the browser. Maintenance software runs continuously in the background, managing day-to-day administrative details.
Flexible disc space options: The Seagate NASRaQ includes two highcapacity disc drives that you can configure for up to 56 gigabytes of RAID 0 (striping) storage or up to 28 gigabytes of RAID 1 (mirroring) storage for extra data protection. An external Ultra SCSI port allows the NASRaQ to communicate with other devices, such as disc drives and tape drives, for expansion, backup and archiving.
Low cost: Unlike most servers, the NASRaQ is designed specifically for the delivery of file services, making it much more affordable than Windows NT and UNIX alternatives. Its performance and flexibility contribute to a long, useful life, resulting in a very low cost of ownership.
