ATA HARD DRIVE

Combining Value and Performance for Entry-level Desktop Systems
The Maxtor Fireball® 3 drive is the industry’s first 40GB single-head/ single-platter hard drive with an Ultra ATA/133 interface. Because it combines value and performance, this drive is an excellent choice for entry-level desktop systems and consumer electronics applications.
Delivering Reliability
The Maxtor Fireball 3 drive is the latest in the family of Maxtor single-platter 5400 RPM hard drives designed for higher reliability. The drive’s inner diameter load/unload ramp locks the recording head into
a protective carrier to cradle the head during shipment and any other time the drive is not in operation. The Fireball 3 drive takes reliability and data integrity to a higher level with the Maxtor Shock Protection System™ (SPS) and Data Protection System™ (DPS). SPS and DPS give the user enhanced protection against both
operating and non-operating shock and verify essential functions in seconds to minimize costly drive returns. These drives continue the Maxtor tradition of delivering high reliability with performance.
Quiet Operation
Maxtor Quiet Drive™ Technology provides users with superior disk drive acoustics by reducing noise levels and improving sound quality. When your application calls for
a cost-effective, high-performance storage solution, select the Fireball 3 series.
