The Automatic Identication System (AIS) is an automated tracking system used on ships and by
Vessel Trac Services (VTS) for identifying and locating vessels by electronically exchanging data with
other nearby ships and VTS stations. AIS transponders use two dierent frequencies, VHF maritime
channels 87B (161.975 MHz) and 88B (162.025 MHz). SCOUT has designed the KS-30 antenna to be
tuned on the AIS frequencies.
Extremely light and performing, the KS-30 is built with a 1,4 mm thick berglass whip that gets fully
foam injected with the special Scout 100% waterproof technique, and it’s ice white colored with high
gloss anti-UV lter to prevent color deterioration. The antenna is supplied with 5m RG-58 MIL cable
and 1 PL-259 connector to complete the installation on board.

Il sistema di comunicazione AIS, Automatic Identication System, permette di localizzare ed
identicare ogni imbarcazione che trasmette questo segnale monitorando, su frequenze VHF marine
predenite, spostamenti, nome e direzione delle imbarcazioni. La comunicazione AIS utilizza due
canali VHF dedicati, 161,975 MHz e 162,025 MHz. SCOUT ha progettato l’antenna KS-30 appositamente
per permettere la perfetta ricezione delle frequenze AIS. Ideale per dimenzioni e leggerezza, la KS-30
è costruita con un corpo in vetroresina con spessore di 1,4 mm interamente riempito di poliuretano
con la speciale tecnica Scout 100% waterproof, e verniciata con tonalità bianco ghiaccio e ltro anti­UV per prevenire il deterioramento del colore ai raggi solari. Viene fornita con 5m di cavo RG-58 top
performance a norme militari e un connettore PL-259 per completare l’installazione a bordo.

Identikationssystem) oder Universal Automatic Identication System (UAIS) bezeichnet
ein Funksystem, das durch den Austausch von Navigations- und anderen Daten die
Sicherheit und die Lenkung des Schisverkehrs verbessert. AIS sendet abwechselnd
auf zwei Kanälen im UKW-Seefunkbereich: AIS 1 - 161,975 MHz / AIS 2 - 162,025 MHz.
SCOUT hat die KS-30 Antenne entworfen, eingestellt auf AIS Frequenz. Extrem leicht
und leistungsfähig, es hat einen 1,4mm Glasfaser Stab, der mit der speziellen 100%
Waterproof Technik komplett schaumgefüllt ist, zusätzlich einen Hochglanz Anti UV­Filter, der die Farbe schützt.
Die Antenne wird mit 5 m RG-58 MIL-Kabel und 1 PL-259-Stecker geliefert, um die
Installation an Bord abzuschließen.
