GENERAL INTRODUCTION
BEFORE EVERY RIDE
SAFETY
Please ensure your SCOTT Walker is com pletely asse mbled by an authorized
SCOTT dealer.
This is very important for optimum performance and safety.
This SCOT T Walker meets the standards of European Standard EN 71.
Traffic laws demand that one checks all fu nctions that concern safety.
Therefore, before every ride, check th e air pressu re of the tires (shown on the
sidewall of the tire) and ensure the nut s of the wheel s are tightened prop er ly.
Also make sure that the handlebar/stem and the seatpost/saddle are properly
bolted.
Ensure the seat height is set so that when your child is sitting on the saddle, they can
reach the ground with both feet.
The seat height can be adjusted using a 5mm allen key and by following the se steps:
1. Loosen the seat post clamp bolt counterclockwise
2. Adjust the seat to the required height according to the need (uppe r or lower)
3. Align the saddle
4. Tighten the clamp bolt clockwise with a maximum torque of 5Nm/44 in/lbs
Please always respect the minimum ins ert depth shown on t he seatpost and d o
not pull ou t any further as this can loosen the seat post an d cause injuries.
Ensure that your c hild can rea ch the handlebar e asi ly.
The handlebar/stem height should be adjus ted so that when your child is sit ting on
the Walker, they can reach the handle bar ea sil y.
The handlebar/stem height can b e adjusted using a 13mm wre nch key and by
following these steps:
1. Loosen the stem bolt cou nterclockwise
2. Adjust the handlebar/stem to the required height
3. Align the handl ebar/stem
4. Tighten the stem bolt clockwise with a maximum torque of 1 0Nm/8 8 in/lbs
Please always respect the minimum ins ert depth shown on t he stem and do not
pull out a ny furth er as this can loosen the stem and cause injuries .

The minimum age for a child to use this Walke r is 1 year old .
The maximum load for a SCOT T Walker is 25kg/55lbs.
Your child must be s upervised at all times while riding the S COTT Wal ker.
Your child must be in structed o n how to use the SC OTT Walker in th e right way and
be made aware of any possible dangers .
This SCOT T Walker should b e used with caution since skills are requi red to avoid falls
or collisions causing injury to the user or third parties.
This SCOT T Walker shall only be used in a pl ayground or similar safe area.
Do not use the S COTT Walker in traffic , public roads, nea r stairs, steep desce nts or
areas with ope n water (pools , ponds , etc).
Please make sure that your child wears clothing that is highly visible (bright colors ,
reflective details or fab rics, etc) and wears shoes that protect the foot and toes .
Gloves and knee/elbow protectors will also help to avoid b ruises or injuries.
The best way to avoid head injuries is to wear a helmet that fits.
The helmet s hould meet safety sta ndard EN1 078 and should have a CE label o r
should match o r exceed the natio nal standards of your cou ntry. Choosing bright
colors will help to improve visibility and safety. Wearing such a helmet should be a
matter of cour se for all cyclis ts or children using bikes or Walke rs.
In addition , the best way to ins truct a child is to lead by example. So make sure you
follow basic safety rules a nd have fun!
