RECHARGE WHEN FIRST RECEIVED (EVEN IF GREEN ‘FULL POWER’ LED GLOWS), AFTER EACH USE AND EVERY 3 MONTHS.

Someone should be within range of your voice or close enough to
come to your aid when you are working near a lead-acid battery.
Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid
contacts skin, clothing, or eyes. If acid enters the eye area, rinse
with cold water for at least 10 minutes and get medical help
immediately
Do not smoke, or use matches or cigarette lighter, or allow any
spark or ame near the battery or engine.
Never operate the power source unit if it has damaged lead wire or
clamps. Have the lead wire replaced by a qualied technician.
Wear complete eye and clothing protection when working with
lead-acid batteries.
Do not permit the internal battery in the IP-95L to freeze. Never
attempt to recharge a frozen battery.

with this product, may expose you to lead, a chemical known to
the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other
reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.
operating instructions
Warning: Failure to follow instructions may cause

1. Turn ignition OFF before making cable connections.
2. Use in a well-ventilated area.
3. Keep clear of fan blades, belts, pulleys and other parts that
may cause injury.
4. NEVER allow clamps to touch together or to contact the same
piece of metal to prevent sparking.
5. Clamp the red clamp (+) to the positive terminal of the battery.
(For a negative grounded system.)*
6. Clamp the black clamp (-) to an unpainted and unmoving part
of the chassis or engine block.
7. You can now crank the engine. If the engine does not start
within 5 – 8 seconds, wait at least 1 minute before attempting to
start vehicle again. (This permits the battery to cool down.)
8. After the engine starts, rst disconnect the black clamp (-) and
then the red clamp (+) in that order. Store the clamps on the
ears located on the sides of the case.
9. Recharge the IP-95L as soon as possible after use.
*NOTE: In the rare case of jump-starting a vehicle that has
a positive-grounded vehicle electrical system, connect the
NEGATIVE black clamp (-) to the negative terminal (-) of the
vehicle battery. Then connect the POSITIVE red clamp (+)
to an unpainted and unmoving part of the vehicle chassis or
engine block. If you are unsure of the nature of the vehicle’s
electrical grounding system, check the owner’s manual of the
vehicle. To disconnect clamps, reverse order.
led indicators
To check the internal battery’s charge status, press the red button
on the front of the IP-95L.
The LED lights will indicate the charge level as follows:
1. A red LED indicates a 50% or less charge and you should
immediately recharge IP-95L.
2. A yellow LED indicates a 50 to 75% charge. IP-95L may be
used but should be recharged as soon as possible.
3. A green LED indicates the internal battery is fully charged.

After removing the IP-95L from the carton, charge it for a minimum
of 8 hours even if the green Full Power LED glows.
1. To charge, plug extension cord into charger plug on the side of
the IP-95L. (Extension cord not included; must be purchased
separately.)
2. Plug the extension cord into 110V AC electrical wall outlet.
3. The red LED will glow while charging.
4. The green LED will glow when the battery has reached full
charge. This could take up to 72 hours on some charges due to
age and condition of the battery. The charger will automatically
drop into a oat mode and maintain the battery at full charge
without damaging the battery. The IP-95L can be left plugged
into the 110V wall outlet indenitely to maintain full power.
5. Recharge IP-95L after use and every 3 months to full charge
status to extend the battery’s life.
multi-purpose power supply
The IP-95L is a power source for all 12 volt DC accessories that
are equipped with a 12V accessory plug. Make sure the device to
be powered is OFF before inserting 12 volt accessory plug into
12 volt accessory outlet on the IP-95L. Use the 12 volt accessory
outlet for power outages, shing and camping trips. Estimate usage
time is listed in chart below.

The DC socket has a 15 amp automatic overload protection circuit
breaker. Reset the breaker by pushing the breaker button located
on the back of IP-95L.

When the IP-95L is used with an inverter, it can operate appliances
normally powered by 110V AC. (Inverter not included; must be
purchased separately.)
*NOTE: Estimated time is conservatively reported. Actual time may
vary. Times are based on IP-95L having a full charge. Requires
the use of an inverter that is not included. Designed for up to a 125
watt inverter.
using the Built-in swiVel light
The built-in swivel light is located on the left side of the IP-95L.
With a fully charged internal battery, the built-in light should provide
18 to 26 hours of continuous useful light, depending on ambient
conditions.
1. Position the IP-95L on a at, stable surface near the intended
work area.
2. Pull tab up to remove light from storage. Turn light in direction
needed.
3. To turn light ON, push black button above light.
4. To turn light OFF, push the black button.
IMPORTANT: Turn OFF light before placing light in its storage
space otherwise battery drain occurs.
5. Charge IP-95L as soon as possible after using built-in light.
replacing the Built-in swiVel light BulB
1. Turn light OFF.
2. Carefully unscrew the back plate of the lamp housing.
3. Gently grasp the bulb and twist until notch in bulb lines up with
retaining tab.
4. Insert a replacement bulb of same type and rating, and twist
clockwise one quarter-turn to screw in new bulb.
5. Carefully screw on the back plate of the lamp housing.
6. Test light by switching light ON and OFF.
7. Replace lens cover if necessary.
storage
The IP-95L can be stored in any position. The clamps are live and
will produce arcing or sparking if they come in contact with each
other. To prevent accidental arcing, always keep the clamps on the
side ears when not using it to jump start a vehicle.
All batteries are affected by temperature. The ideal storage
temperature is at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Performance varies based
on battery temperature conditions.
limited warranty
Schumacher Electric Corporation warrants your unit to be free from defects in material and workmanship, excepting abuse or misuse, for a period of
one year from the date of sale to the original user or consumer purchaser. If your unit fails or malfunctions within the rst 30 days of the warranty, we
will replace it with a new unit. If your unit malfunctions or fails within the 12 month warranty period because of a defect in material or workmanship, we
will repair without charge.
The internal battery, excluding units with swollen batteries or melted battery terminals, carries a 90-day warranty from the date of purchase. Proof of
purchase required. All battery replacements will be at the sole discretion of the manufacturer or his designated agents.
This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. The duration of any implied warranty, including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability
or tness for a particular purpose, made in respect to your unit is limited to the period of the express warranty set forth above.

In no event shall Schumacher Electric Corporation be liable for consequential or incidental damages. Some states do not allow limitations on the length
of the implied warranty or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

RELATIVES À LA SÉCURITÉ
Quelqu’un doit être assez près pour vous venir en aide ou pour
entendre vos cris d’appel quand vous travaillez à proximité d’une
batterie au plomb-acide.
Ayez beaucoup d’eau fraîche et de savon à la portée de la main au
cas où de l’acide de batterie viendrait en contact avec la peau, les
vêtements ou les yeux. Si de l’acide vient en contact avec les yeux,
rincez-les à l’eau froide pendant au moins 10 minutes et obtenez
immédiatement des soins médicaux.
Ne fumez pas, n’utilisez pas d’allumettes ni de briquet à proximité
d’une batterie ou d’un moteur et ne permettez pas qu’il y ait des
étincelles ou des ammes.
Ne faites jamais fonctionner la source d’alimentation si ses ls
électriques ou ses pinces sont endommagés. Demandez à un
technicien qualié de remplacer le l électrique.
Portez des lunettes de sûreté et des vêtements protecteurs quand
vous manipulez des batteries au plomb-acide.
Veillez à ce que la batterie interne ne gèle pas. Ne tentez jamais
de recharger une batterie gelée.
AVERTISSEMENT RELATIF À LA MANIPULATION
ATTENTION : La manipulation du cordon de ce produit ou des
cordons associés à ce produit peut vous exposer au plomb, un
produit chimique reconnu, par l’État de la Californie, pour causer
le cancer ainsi que des anomalies congénitales ou autre dommage
génétique. Il faut se laver les mains après la manipulation.
INSTRUCTIONS DE FONCTIONNEMENT
Attention : Le fait de ne pas suivre les instructions peut
causer des dommages ou produire une explosion. Lisez
le manuel d’instructions en entier avant l’utilisation.
1. Coupez le contact du véhicule avant d’effectuer le raccordement
des câbles.
2. Utilisez dans un endroit bien aéré.
3. Tenez-vous à l’écart des pales de ventilateur, courroies, poulies
et de toute pièce posant un risque de blessure.
4. Les pinces ne doivent jamais se toucher ni toucher à la
même pièce de métal pour éviter que des étincelles ne se
produisent.
5. Fixez la pince rouge (+) à la borne positive de la batterie. (S’il
s’agit d’un système à masse négative.)*
6. Fixez la pince noire (-) à une pièce métallique xe du châssis
ou du bloc moteur.
7. Démarrez le moteur. Si le moteur ne démarre pas, dans
5 – 8 secondes, arrêtez et attendez au moins 1 minute
avant d’essayer à nouveau. (Ceci permettra à la batterie de
refroidir.)
8. Après le démarrage du moteur, débranchez d’abord la pince
noire (-), puis la pince rouge (+), dans cet ordre. Rangez les
pinces sur les oreilles situées de part et d’autre du boîtier.
9. Rechargez l’appareil modèle IP-95L dès que possible après
l’avoir utilisé.
* REMARQUE : Dans les rares cas où le démarrage d’urgence
doit être effectué sur un véhicule dont le système électrique est
à masse positive, raccordez la pince noire NÉGATIVE (-) à la
borne négative de la batterie du véhicule. Raccordez ensuite
la pince rouge POSITIVE (+) à une pièce non peinte et xe du
châssis ou du bloc moteur du véhicule. Si vous ne savez pas
de quel type de système de mise à la masse électrique est
doté le véhicule, consultez le guide de l’utilisateur du véhicule.
Pour débrancher les pinces, procédez dans l’ordre inverse.
VOYANTS
Pour vérier l’état de la batterie interne, appuyez sur le bouton
rouge situé sur le devant de l’appareil modèle IP-95L.
Les voyants vont indiquer ce qui suit :
1. Le voyant rouge indique que la charge de la batterie interne est
de 50 % ou moins ; vous devez alors recharger immédiatement
l’appareil.
2. Le voyant jaune indique que la charge de la batterie interne
se situe entre 50 et 75 %. On peut utiliser l’appareil modèle
IP-95L, mais il faudra le recharger dès que possible.
3. Le voyant vert indique que la batterie interne est entièrement
chargée.
CHARGE de la batterie interne à l’aide du chargeur intégré.
Après avoir sorti l’appareil modèle IP-95L de sa boîte, chargez-le
durant la nuit ou pendant 8 heures au moins avant de l’utiliser,
même si le voyant LED vert est allumé.
1. Pour charger, branchez une rallonge dans la prise de chargeur
à l’arrière de l’appareil modèle IP-95L. (Rallonge non incluse ;
doit être achetée séparément.)
2. Branchez la rallonge dans une prise électrique de 110 V CA.
3. Le voyant rouge EN COURS DE CHARGE est allumé durant
la charge.
4. Le voyant vert CHARGÉE s’allume lorsque la batterie est
complètement chargée. Dans certains cas, la charge durera
jusqu’à 72 heures, selon l’âge et l’état de la batterie. Le
