SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before installing and commissioning the EasyBus components, carefully read the entire manual. Take note in particular of the operating instructions containing hazard symbols and warning signs. Their non-observance could result in damage to the unit and slight to serious personal injuries. Should you have any questions, after reading through the entire manual, please contact SCHAKO.
An exclamation mark within a triangle indicates information which must be observed by the user. Non-observance may result in damage to the module or loss of data.
A lightning flash within a triangle warns against electric shock or impairment of the electrical safety of the device.
This symbol indicates important information in these operating instructions which must be observed.
GENERAL INFORMATION

Installation, Operating and Maintenance Instructions
Cable length | Switch cabinet mounting
CABLE LENGTH
The standard cable length from the module to the consumer (BSK, ERK, RM) is 1 m including prepared connection option. The max. cable length from the module to the bus line is 1.5 m. The total cable length from the switch cabinet to the last terminal of the EasyF module with 128 modules must not exceed a length of 1000 m. Moreover, a distance of at least 5 cm between two flat cables is recommended if cables are installed, for example in ducts, tracks, etc.
MODULE MOUNTING
To ensure connection, a minimum distance of 40 mm from the four side surfaces to walls, ventilation ducts or similar is recommended.
For removing the module cover, a minimum distance of 100 mm from the top side of the cover is recommended.
In addition, it is recommended to fasten the module at a distance of max. 100 mm from edges of the inspection opening to provide a good accessibility to the module during commissioning or service activities.
(source: Installation instructions by Woertz) The cable manufacturer always recommends to use an additional strain relief by means of cable ties (see figures). This reduces the tractive forces at the connection socket. According to EN 61535 A1, tractive forces of 100 ±2 N are allowed for a cable diameter of more than 16 mm.
FLAT CABLE SYSTEM
H corresponds to the cable thickness R corresponds to the smallest recommended bending radius
When using the connection socket (-MASD), it is recommended to fasten it using cable ties or the like.
The recommended distance between points for fastening of the flat cable is between at least 500 mm and a maximum of 1500 mm.
SWITCH CABINET MOUNTING
When mounting the EasyS-W01 or –W02 switch cabinet, the minimum distance of 0.8 m from the ground is recommended. A minimum distance of 0.2 m (on the right or left) is also recommended. This distance from a side surface is also recommended for the EasyS-A01 to –A05 switch cabinets. For fastening the EasyS-W01 to W02 switch cabinets, select the corresponding fastening material depending on the masonry.

Scan with self-addressing
General information about addressing: To set up an EasyBus network, at least one EasyS-MV2 and one EasyS-FV1, at least one (up to max. 128) EasyF module and a Modbus interface are required. The prerequisite for the communication between an EasyS-MV2 and the users (at least one (up to max. 128) of the EasyF modules is a complete scan of the EasyBus network. The EasyF modules require a unique address for it. This address can be assigned to each module manually or automatically by the Easy-MV2. The following sections describe options for assigning addresses.
