UNFOLDING THE LOOM
1. Remove all plastic wrap from the loom.
Do not remove the string tying the beater to the shafts.
2. Slightly loosen the bolts and knobs
holding the wood shipping braces. Remove the braces and tighten the knobs and bolts.
3. Stand at the side of the loom. Slightly
loosen the two black plastic fold knobs on both sides of the loom. Generally, a single turn will do.
Loosening the knobs all the way or removing them can cause the loom to collapse which could result in
injury.
4. Hold the front and rear beams and
allow the loom to unfold all the way. When there is a warp on the loom, you may need to step on the brake release pedal while unfolding the loom to loosen the warp.
5. When the loom is all the way down
in the open position, push the knobs down to the bottom of the slots and tighten them.
FOLDING THE LOOM
1. To prevent treadles from dragging on
the oor when the loom is folded, attach every treadle to at least one tie-up cord.
2. Make sure the beater pin is in its
holder.
3. Loosen the two black knobs one full
turn and pull them up to start folding the loom.
4. With one hand on the rear beam and
one hand on the front beam, pull the loom together as far as it will go.
5. Tighten the knobs.

INSTALL THE BEATER PEGS
■ Loosen the wing nuts holding the top of
the beater, and remove the beater top.
■ Remove the reed from the beater.
■ Install 1/4-20x2” screw through 1” black
spacer and beater from the outside in.
■ Use #12 washer and thin lock nut to
secure screw on inside of beater frame.
■ After the pegs are installed, remove the
string tying the beater to the castle.
ATTACH THE FRONT BEAM EXTENSION
Use the three 1½" at-head Phillips screws to attach the extension to the outside of the front beam. It helps to lubricate the screws with bar soap or paste wax.
INSTALL THE WHEELS
With the loom unfolded, install the wheels. as per the illustration. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to hold the 1½" machine bolts in place while using a 7/16” wrench to tighten the lock nuts.
INSTALL THE WARP BEAM CRANK HANDLE
Unscrew the protective wood block from the warp beam crank rod. Place the 3/8" washer and then the metal crank handle on the rod with the wooden crank handle pointing away from the loom. Secure the handle on the rod with the 3/8" cap nut. To engage the crank for turning the warp beam, pull the hexagonal hole of the crank onto the cap nut. When weaving, the crank should be pushed off the cap nut.

ATTACH THE APRON CORDS AND APRON BARS
■ There is one cord for each hole in the
cloth and warp beams.
■ Insert one end of an apron cord
through a hole in the cloth beam and pull the cord through. Then insert the other end through the second hole in the end of the cord that you just put through the beam. Pull rmly on the cord to tighten (A). Repeat across the cloth beam.
■ To attach the apron bar to the apron
cords, take a pinch of the cord about 4" from the end (B).
■ Insert the pinched cord through the
second hole from the end of the cord. Pull on the pinched bit until a loop forms that is large enough for the apron bar to slip through (C).
■ Slide the apron bar through the loop
(D) and pull tight.
■ Repeat until all cords are attached to
the apron bar.
■ Attach the other apron bar to the warp
beam in the same manner.

INSTALL HEDDLES AND HEDDLE BARS
■ Determine how many heddles you
want on each shaft. Count out the desired number, then thread string through the holes at each end of the heddles and tie them. Count out a group of heddles for each shaft.
■ Slide each group of heddles onto a pair
of heddle bars. To make threading easier, it is important to orient the heddles in the same direction on each set of heddle bars.
Note: On inserted eye heddles, the red end of the heddles goes at the bottom for left-handed threading; on the top for right-handed.
■ Optional: To keep the heddles from
sliding around during the next steps, tape each set of heddles to its heddle bars.
■ Lift the rst shaft and prop it up using a
book or small block of wood. The bottom of the shaft should be raised 3-4 inches.

■ Insert a set of heddles on heddle bars
into the castle in front of the raised shaft.
■ Insert one end of each heddle bar into
the slots in the side of the shaft. Bend the heddle bar and insert the end into the slot in the other side of the shaft.
■ Remove the ties on your groups of
heddles, and any tape you used.

WOLF PUP LT: INSTALLING THE TIE-UP CORDS
There is one tie-up cord for each hole in the lamms. Put the loop end of a tie-up cord through each hole and pull the button end through the loop until the cord is secure against the lamm.
WOLF PUP LT: TYING UP THE TREADLES
Tie the shafts to the treadle by slipping a tie-up cord into the slot in the treadle. Work from the front lamm to the rear lamm for each treadle. After you have completed your tie-up, check each treadle by pushing it all the way to the oor and releasing it, making sure that the knob of each tie-up cord is up against the treadle and that each cord hangs straight down to the treadle.
There is a 1/2” diameter indentation on the underside of the top end of each treadle to prevent the tie-ups from slipping off when the loom is folded. The tie-ups should not be in this hole when weaving.

INSTALLING THE TREADLE TRACKER
With the clip facing the front of the loom, insert the treadle tracker into the slot in the rear castle brace.
ADJUSTING THE BRAKE
The friction brake can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the eyebolt. This will increase or decrease the tension on the spring, which will in turn increase or decrease the tension on the brake bar and the brake cable.
Always press down on the brake release pedal while you are winding on the warp or advancing the warp on the cloth beam.
REMOVING THE BACK BEAM
The back beam can be removed for better access to the heddles while threading the loom. Loosen the black knobs on either side of the back beam, and lift the beam out. To replace the back beam, slide the beam back into the legs, and tighten the black knobs.
Be sure to lift the loom using the cloth and warp beams. Do not use the back beam to lift the loom.

USING THE BEATER PIN
The small metal pin attached to the right inside leg is used to hold the beater upright during warping. Move the beater to align the hole in the leg with the slot in the beater side. Insert the beater pin through the hole and then on into the slot.
Be sure to pull out the beater pin and replace it in its holder before weaving and before folding the loom.
