INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

S&B P/N 75-5008

Applications:

2005-2007 Dodge

Charger, R/T, SRT8, Daytona,
Magnum, R/T 5.7L, 6.1L V8

2005-2007 Chrysler
300C, SRT8 5.7L, 6.1L V8

1. With the ignition off, disconnect the
battery. The battery is located in the trunk.

2. Pull up to remove the engine cover.
(Except SRT models)

6. Unclip the OE air box lid and lift out
the upper air box assembly.

2 #56 Hose Clamp 4 Sealing Washer

1 #60 Hose Clamp 4 SS Pan Head Screw

1 1/4”-20X3/4” Bolt

10. Put the small adapter on the air box
snout, secure with a #56 hose clamp.

Required Tools

Phillips Screwdriver

Flat Head Screwdriver

10mm Wrench & Socket

7/16 Wrench

3. Disconnect the crankcase breather
hose from the OE air box.

4. Disconnect the electrical connection for
the air temperature sensor.

7. Remove the 10mm bolt that secures
the lower air box assembly.

8. Remove the lower air box assembly
from the vehicle.

11. Put the filter in the box. Pull the filter
flange thru the round hole in the box.

12. Place the #64 hose clamp over the
intake tube then insert the tube into the
filter.

5. Loosen the hose clamp at the throttle
body.

9. Assemble the S&B intake tube and
adapter, also insert both 1/2” rubber
grommets.

13. Install the intake tube and air box

assembly. Place the air box snout into the
hole in the inner fender then slip the
adapter over the throttle body and secure
all hose clamps.

14. Install the twisted bracket to the air
box. Use the rubber washer and the
1/4” washer provided.
NOTE: Make sure there is adequate
clearance between the intake tube and
the engine pulley.

NOTE: Use this twisted bracket for
the 2005 vehicles….

17. For the 5.7 L applications with a short
OE vent line, use the 1/2” x 10” long hose
and straight hose mender to extend the
crank case vent hose to intake tube….

….. With a long OE vent line, simply route
the line to the 90 degree fitting and cut to
length.

Testing & Warranty Info:

1. Engage parking brake and start your engine.
To ensure that the system was installed
properly, listen for abnormal noises. If an air
leak is detected, re-inspect hoses and con­nections as they may need to be tightened.

2. We recommend that you keep your stock
(OEM) intake system in the event that is
required in the future.

3. All connections and components must be
checked periodically for realignment, clean­ing and retighten of all connections. Failure
to do so may void your warranty.

5. We recommend that you only use S&B oil
and cleaner products to service your filter.
Using any other manufacturer’s products
may void your warranty.

….use this twisted 45 degree bracket
for 2006 and newer vehicles.

15. Use the OE 10mm bolt removed in
step # 7 to secure the S&B air box
bracket to the OE air box mount.

18. Install the air temperature sensor
into the rubber grommet on the S&B
intake tube.

19. Reconnect the electrical connection
for the air temperature sensor.

Smog Certification Note:

The California Air Resource Board (CARB)
requires an that an E.O. identification label
be applied to the vehicle in order to pass a
smog check inspection when installing a
High Performance Intake Kit.

You must place the E.O. label provided on or
near the intake kit after installation so that
the smog technician can easily verify the
O.E. number during the smog certification
process.

16. For the 5.7 L applications Insert the
1/2” 90 degree hose barb into the intake
tube grommet….

...for the 6.1L applications insert the
1/2” straight hose barb into the intake
tube grommet and use the S&B hose.

20. Install the clear lid onto the S&B air
box.

21. Re-connect the negative battery
cable. Inspect your installation, make
sure kit is properly positioned and all
fasteners are secure.
