1 “L” Bracket 4 SS Pan Head Screw

Required Tools

Philips screwdriver

1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect
the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the PCV line from the
intake tube and from the valve cover.

3. Loosen the hose clamp at the
throttle body.

6. Remove the OE intake
assembly from the vehicle.

7. If the OE grommets came out with
the air box, place them back into the
inner fender.

10. Assemble the air box using the
5/16” hardware.

11. Use the supplied hardware to secure
the ”L” bracket to the air box.

4. Disconnect the electrical connection
from the MAF sensor .

5. Unbolt the air box from the inner
fender.

8. Remove the MAF sensor from the
OE intake.

9. Use the supplied hardware and secure
the MAF to the sensor plate with the rub­ber washers between MAF and plate.
Secure the plate to the tube, make sure
the MAF sensor is facing the correct way.

12. Insert the Air Filter into the air box.
Push the flange of the filter thru the hole
in the air box.

13. Use the OE bolt to secure the “L”
bracket to the inner fender.

14. Install the adapter on the intake
tube. Secure with a #60 hose clamp.

15. Install the tube into the air filter
then onto the throttle body.

16. Use another #60 hose clamp and
secure the tube to the throttle body.

20. Install the clear lid, do not over
tighten the screws.

21. Reconnect the battery and check your
installation. Make sure kit is properly posi­tioned and all fasteners are secure.

Testing & Warranty Info:

1. Engage parking brake and start your

engine. To ensure that the system was
installed properly, listen for abnormal
noises. If an air leak is detected, re-inspect
hoses and connections as they may need
to be tightened.

2. We recommend that you keep your

stock (OEM) intake system in the event
that is required in the future.

3. In order to maintain proper warranty,

all connections and components must be
checked periodically for realignment,
cleaning and / or retighten of all connec­tions. Failure to do so may void your war­ranty.

4. We recommend that you only use S&B

oil and cleaner products to service your
filter. Using any other manufacturer’s
products may void your warranty.

17. Reconnect the MAF sensor.

18. Install the threaded hose barb into

the tube then slip the 1/2” hose over
the barb.

Smog Certification Note:

The California Air Resource Board (CARB) requires

that an E.O. identification label be applied to the vehi­cle in order to pass a smog check inspection when
installing a High Performance Intake Kit.

You must place the E.O. label provided on or near the

intake kit after installation so that the smog technician
can easily verify the O.E. number during the smog
certification process.

19. Insert the 1/2” to 5/8” hose barb into the
long 1/2” hose then the short 5/8” hose over
the other end and connect to the valve cover.
Secure with the #8 hose clamp.
