1. With the engine off, disconnect the

negative battery cable. Loosen hose clamp
connecting the OE air intake tube to the
throttle body.

1 3.75” - 2” Adapter 2 #64 Hose Clamps

1 4” - 2” Adapter 4 Sealing Washers

1 Hump Adapter 4 SS Pan Head Screws

1 Air Box

5. Lift up and pull toward the engine to
remove the OE air box from the vehicle.

8. Remove the MAF sensor from OE air
box.

TOOLS REQUIRED

10mm Wrench & Socket

Phillips Screwdriver

5/16” Nut Driver or

Flathead Screwdriver

2. Disconnect the electrical connection to
the MAF sensor.

3. Loosen the hose clamp at the MAF
sensor.

6. Remove and retain the 4 or 5 bolts that
secure the air box tray then remove the tray
from the vehicle.

7. Assemble the S&B filter adaptor to the
S&B air box using hardware provided. Be
sure to put the gasket between the box and
adapter.

9. Remove the flange adapter from the
MAF sensor.

10. Install the straight adapter onto the MAF
sensor (leave clamp loose).

4. Remove OE air intake tube from the
throttle body and then from the MAF sensor.

11. Place the S&B air box into the vehicle

and install 4 of the OE bolts removed in step
#6, leave loose until the S&B intake tube is
in position.

12. Attach the MAF sensor to the S&B air
box, position and tighten both clamps.

13. Attach the S&B hump adapter to the
MAF sensor and secure the hose clamp.

14. Attach 4” x 2” straight adapter to the
S&B air intake tube with a #64 hose clamp.
NOTE: On some models it may be
necessary to trim the fan shroud slightly to
allow clearance for the S&B air intake tube.

17. Install the S&B Air Filter and secure the
hose clamp.

PERFORMANCE TESTING

1. Engage parking brake and start
your engine. To ensure that the
system was installed properly, lis­ten for abnormal noises. If an air
leak is detected, re-inspect hoses
and connections as they may need
to be tightened.

18. Remove the protective covering then
install the clear lid using the supplied
hardware.

19. Reconnect the negative battery cable
and check your installation to make sure
everything is properly positioned and se-

IT IS REQUIRED IN THE FU­TURE.

3. In order to maintain proper war­ranty, all connections and compo­nents must be checked periodically
for realignment and to tighten all
connections. Failure to do so will
void your warranty.

4. Use only S&B Cleaning and Oil
products to service your filter. Us­ing another company’s oil and
cleaner products may void your
warranty.

15. Install the S&B air intake tube and
tighten clamps on both ends. Tighten all
adapter hose clamps and the 4 bolts that
secure the S&B air box.

16. Reconnect the MAF sensor electrical
connection.

Smog Certification Note:

The California Air Resource Board
(CARB) requires that an E.O.
identification label be applied to the
vehicle in order to pass a smog check
inspection when a High Performance
Intake Kit has been installed.

You must place the E.O. label provided
on or near the intake kit after installation
so that a smog check technician can
easily verify the E.O. number.
