1 Intake Lid 4 1/4”-20 x 1” bolt 2 1” OD Rubber Washer
1 Air Filter 4 SS Pan Head Screw 4 #10 Sealing Washer

Tools Needed

10mm Socket 7/16” Wrench Phillips Screw Driver

7/16" Socket 13mm Wrench Flat Screw Driver Ratchet

5/8” x 1/2” Hose Barb

1. With the engine turned off, disconnect
the vehicle’s negative battery cable

2. Loosen the hose clamps on the throttle body.

5. Remove the OEM intake assembly

6. Gently pull up and remove the OEM filter
housing

9. Build the S&B air intake tube in
accordance to photo 9.

10. Tighten the hose clamp that connects the
S&B intake tube to the throttle body

3. Disconnect the crankcase breather hose.

4. Unclamp the OEM filter housing. Disconnect
the mass air sensor underneath the OEM filter
housing.

7. Remove the grommets.

8. Disconnect the breather hose at the valve
cover. Remove the breather hose

11. Unbolt the Mass air sensor from the face plate on
the OEM air intake assembly

12. Build up the S&B air box per exploded view.
Make sure gaskets seat and seal correctly.

13. Push the S&B air box assembly into the
hose adaptor on the S&B air intake tube.

14. Bolt down the S&B air box. Use the 1/4”
fender washer; top and bottom.

17. Use the small hose clamp to connect the 5/8”
hose to the valve cover connection, and the 1/2­5/8” hose mender to the S&B air box.

18. Install the S&B High Performance Filter.

Testing & Warranty Info:

1. Engage parking brake and start your

engine. To ensure that the system was in­stalled properly, listen for abnormal noises. If
an air leak is detected, re-inspect hoses and
connections as they may need to be tight­ened.

2. We recommend that you keep your stock

(OEM) intake system in the event that is
required in the future.

3. In order to maintain proper warranty, all

connections and components must be
checked periodically for realignment, clean­ing and / or retighten of all connections.
Failure to do so may void your warranty.

4. We recommend that you only use S&B

oil and cleaner products to service your filter.
Using any other manufacturer’s products
may void your warranty.

15. Tighten all of the hose clamps.

16. Reconnect the mass air sensor.

20. Attach the clear lid to the S&B air box.

21. Reconnect the negative side battery cable
and installation is complete.

Smog Certification Note:

The California Air Resource Board

(CARB) requires that an E.O. identifica­tion label be applied to the vehicle in order
to pass a smog check inspection when
installing a High Performance Intake Kit.

You must place the E.O. label provided on

or near the intake kit after installation so
that the smog technician can easily verify
the O.E. number during the smog certifica­tion process.
