Performance Intake Kit

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. With engine off, disconnect the negative battery cable and vent hose

5. Remove the OEM air intake tube.

TOOLS REQUIRED

Flat head screwdriver 1/2 socket 1/2 open end wrench 8mm open end wrench

9. Unbolt the Mass Air Sensor assembly from the OEM air box

2. Disconnect the crankcase breather hose.

3. Gently pull out the air temp sensor out of the intake tube.

6. Disconnect the Mass Air Sensor connection

7. Unbolt the bracket that retains the OEM Air box

10. Assemble the 5/16 hardware per photo.

11. Assemble the Mass Air sensor assembly to the cold air box per photo #11 Be sure to use the 2 gaskets provided

4. Loosen clamps on the OEM Air intake tube.

8. Gently pull up and remove the OEM air box.

12. Remove the rubber grommet from stock intake box.

13. Push the grommet into the tube & push hose mender into grommet.

14. Attach the Cold Air intake tube to MAF sensor assembly and to throttle body.

18. Gently push in the air temp. sensor and connect the MAF sensor.

19. Install S&B air filter and the clear air

box lid using the supplied hardware.

Testing & Warranty Info:

1. Engage parking brake and start y our

engine. To ensure that the system was installed properly, listen for abnormal noises. If an air leak is detected, re-inspect hoses and connections as they may need to be tightened.

2. We recommend that you keep your stock

(OEM) intake system in the event that is required in the future.

3. In order to maintain proper warranty, all

connections and componen t s mu st be checked periodically for alignment, retightening of all the conn ectio ns and cle aning. Failure to do so may void your warranty.

4. We recommend that y ou only use S & B

oil and cleaner products to servic e your filt er . Using any other manufactu rer ’s produc ts may void your warranty.

15. Tighten hose clamps on intake tube.

16. Attach the crankcase breather hose to intake tube.

20. Reconnect the negative battery terminal and installation is complete.

17. Attach other vent hose to intake tube.
