Cool Air Intake Kit

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

S&B P/N 75-2503

1988-1995

Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, Bronco

4.9L, 5.0L, 5.8L, 7.5L

1. With engine off, disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Unclamp intake hoses from the air box.

1 5/8” x 25” Hose 1 Angled Bracket

1 Duel Flange Adapter 3 1/4”-20 x 3/4” Hex Head Screw

1 CARB Sticker 7 1/4” Washers

1 Instruction Sheet 3 1/4”-20 Nylock Nuts

1 #8 Hose Clamp 1 1/4”-20 Hex Head Screws

2 #48 Hose Clamps 1 5/8” x 5/8” Coupling Hose

1 Air Filter

5. Remove air box.

6. Install the “L” bracket to the end of the filter as shown.

9. Drill 5/16” holes where marked.

Tools Required

2 7/16” Wrenches or Sockets

5/16” Nut Driver or Socket

5/16” Drill & Drill Bit

3. Unbolt the air box

Remove vent hose from air box and valve cover.

7. Install adapter assembly to filter.

8. Position assembly in vehicle and mark locations for drilling as shown in #8A and #8B.

10. Install using the hardware provided in this kit.

11. Measure vent hose provided in this kit (or the OEM hose).

12. Cut and install vent hose.

13. Reconnect the negative battery cable and check all of the final assembly connections to ensure that all connections are tight.

PERFORMANCE TESTING

∗ Engage parking brake and start your engine. To en-

sure that the system was installed properly, listen for abnormal noises. If an air leak is detected, re-inspect hoses and connections as they may need to be tightened.

∗ S&B FILTERS RECOMMENDS THAT YOU KEEP

YOUR OEM INTAKE SYSTEM IN THE EVENT IT IS REQURIED IN THE FUTURE.

∗ In order to maintain proper warranty, all connections

and components must be checked periodically for realignment and to tighten all connections. Failure to do so will void your warranty.

∗ Use only S&B cleaning and oil products to service

your filter. Using other company’s oil and cleaner products may void your warranty.

Smog Certification Note:

The California Air Resource Board (CARB) requires that an E.O. identification label be applied to the vehicle in order to pass a smog check inspection when a High Performance Intake Kit has been installed.

You must place the E.O. label provided on or near the intake kit after installation so that a smog check technician can easily verify the E.O. number.
