Description
The Savant On-Wall Media Dock in a flush wall mount design
provides an interface and control solution for the Apple iPod®
personal media players and iPhone®. Savant uses the latest
Apple technology enabling high speed music library browsing
and compatibility with the latest Apple products and features.
Within the Savant architecture, the Savant On-Wall Media
Dock — OWM-210B (black) or OWM-210W (white)—
transforms the iPod or iPhone into a portable multi-room digital
media server. These Savant media docks combine the
convenience of personal audio and video with the
performance, distribution, and control capabilities of Savant’s
multi-room A/V systems—delivering audio, and DVD quality
video throughout the home or facility.
With the Savant iPod or iPhone distribution interface,
consumers can listen to music, and watch videos from
anywhere (up to 100 meters) within their home or facility—with
the superior sound and video quality that is the hallmark of
every Savant audio/video system—while providing two-way
operation from Savant’s entire line of diverse user interfaces.
Simple Docking
Simply placing the iPod or iPhone into the On-Wall docking
cradle instantly connects it for sharing with speakers and video
monitors throughout the home or facility.
Ease of Navigation
Integrating the iPod or iPhone with a Savant SmartSystem
enables full control and navigation using TrueControl apps
running on iOS devices (iPad®, iPod touch or iPhone),
handheld remotes (SSR-1000), or the TrueCommand™ on-TV
menu system. From any touch screen, you can search the
entire iPod or iPhone library by genre, artist, album and track,
and even view album cover art.
Audio and Video Distribution up to 100 meters
The Savant On-Wall Media Dock allows stereo audio,
composite video, and component video signals to be fed from
the iPod or iPhone to your home theater or multi-room
distribution system. The included Media Dock Receiver
(MDR-2000) extends the capability of this on-wall media dock
for long-haul installations up to 100 meters over Cat 5.
