Special Draft Shield for Laboratory Balances

Intended Use

The YDS01SQP draft shield can be installed on the

following weighing instruments:

– Secura, Quintix or Practum balances with a readability

of 10 mg, 0.1 g or 1 g

Installation

t Remove the following parts from the balance:

1) Weighing pan

2) Pan support

3) Shield disk

4) In-use dust cover (not illustrated)

t Use a screwdriver to pry out both cover caps on the rear

of the balance.

t Install the following parts in the order listed:

– In-use dust cover

– Turn the draft shield lock to “unlocked"

.

– Put the draft shield (1) on the balance.

Note:
Use both hands to hold the top strut of the draft shield.

– Turn the draft shield lock to “locked"

.

– Put the shield disk (2), pan support (3), and weighing

pan (4) on the balance.

The weighing system is protected against
overloading up to 10 kg.

Inserting (or Removing) Glass Panels

1) Holding it by its rear edge, pull the draft shield cover
up and remove it.

2) Push the three glass panels into the draft shield guide,
all the way to the front.

3) Then replace the draft shield cover. In doing so, the
draft shield cover must lock

Cleaning: Remove the front and rear glass
