Operating Modes and Paper Recognition

Printer Operating Modes (Page Mode / Line Mode)

The YDP12IS printer can be used in 2 different operating modes:

– “Page Mode” for operation as a label

printer (factory setting)

– “Line Mode” for operation as a strip

printer (for use with continuous paper)

When using automatic paper recognition, the operator can obtain information on the current operating mode by viewing the status message (see also the section “Activating Paper Recognition”). The status message is printed and, in addition to other information (such as the software version), contains the message “Line Mode” or “Page Mode” in the third line.

The normal operating mode for the YDP12IS printer is “Page Mode.” If the printer does not print, it may currently be in the “Line Mode.”

To switch between the two modes, use the “FEED” button.

Switching between Modes

button; turn the printer back on while holding down the “FEED” button

Activating Paper Recognition

For use as a label printer, activate paper recognition, so that the printer recognizes the end of the label.

Do not activate paper recognition when using continuous paper, as this may lead to a paper end error. If, however, the printer signals the end of the paper after printing only a few lines (the red error LED in the “FEED” button will light up, activate paper recognition using the

If the printer was used with continuous paper (for example, with the setting “Line Printer” on the isi terminal) and you now wish to use it as a label printer, you need to activate paper recognition first. To do so, switch the printer to “Line Mode” with the label paper inserted in order to acti-vate paper recognition in this mode. Then switch the printer back to “Page Mode.”

To do this:

§ Switch the printer to “Line Mode”:

Turn off the printer, press the “FEED” button; turn the printer back on while holding down the “FEED” button.

§ Let go of the “FEED” button when the

control LED in the “FEED” button flashes in red

§ Wait until the control LED in the

“FEED” button goes out and then flashes in green, then immediately press the “FEED” button and hold it down.

§ Wait until the control LED in the

“FEED” button lights up in amber (orange); then immediately let go of the “FEED” button

“FEED” button lights up in green

> The printer is now switched to “Line

Mode.”

§ Activate paper recognition:

completed and the status messages have been printed

next label is brought forward

Mode”: Turn off the printer. Press the “FEED” button; turn the printer back on while holding down the “FEED” button.

Betriebsarten und Papiererkennung

Betriebsarten des Druckers (Page-Mode / Line-Mode)

Der Drucker YDP12IS kann in 2 verschiedenen Betriebsarten verwendet werden:

– Page-Mode für den Betrieb als Etiket-

tendrucker (Werksvoreinstellung)

– Line-Mode für den Betrieb als Strei-

fendrucker (für die Verwendung von Endlospapier).

Der Benutzer kann im Zusammenhang mit der Durchführung einer automatischen Papiererkennung die aktuelle Betriebsart mit Hilfe einer Statusmeldung abfragen (siehe dazu den Abschnitt „Papiererkennung durchführen“). Der Status wird dabei ausgedruckt und enthält neben weiteren Informationen (z.B. Softwareversion) in der 3. Zeile die Kennzeichnung „Page Mode“ oder „Line Mode“.

Die normale Betriebsart für den Drucker YDP12IS ist der „Page Mode“. Falls kein Ausdruck erfolgt, kann das daran liegen, dass der Drucker sich zur Zeit im „Line Mode“ befindet.

Die Umschaltung zwischen beiden Betriebsarten erfolgt mit Hilfe der Papierzufuhrtaste „FEED“.

Hinweis:

Wenn die Kontroll-LED in der „FEED“Taste orange leuchtet, die Taste

sofortsofort

Papiererkennung durchführen

Bei Verwendung als Etikettendrucker eine Papiererkennung durchführen, damit der Drucker das Etikettenende erkennt.

! Bei Verwendung von Endlospapier

Wurde der Drucker (z.B. am isi in der Einstellung „Line Printer“) mit Endlospapier benutzt und soll er jetzt als Etikettendrucker verwendet werden, zuvor eine Papiererkennung durchführen. Dazu den Drucker mit dem eingelegten Etikettenpapier in die Betriebsart „Line Mode“ schalten, um in dieser Betriebsart die Papiererkennung durchzuführen. Anschließend den Drucker wieder in die Betriebsart „Page Mode“ zurückschalten.

Dazu wie folgt vorgehen:

durchgeführt ist und die Statusmeldungen ausgedruckt sind.

auf das nächste Etikett vorzuschieben.

> Der Drucker hat die Papiererkennung

erfolgreich durchgeführt und „weiß“ jetzt, wo das nächste Etikett beginnt.

§ Drucker in die Betriebsart „Page Mode“

zurückschalten. Dazu Drucker ausschalten, Papierzufuhrtaste „FEED“ drücken, Drucker wieder einschalten und dabei die „FEED“-Taste gedrückt halten.

Modes de fonctionnement de l’imprimante (Mode Page / Mode Ligne)

L’imprimante YDP12IS peut être utilisée dans deux modes de fonctionnement différents :

– Mode Page pour le fonctionnement

comme imprimante d’étiquettes (réglage d’usine)

– Mode Ligne pour le fonctionnement

comme imprimante à bandes (pour l’utilisation de papier continu).

L’utilisateur peut demander en relation avec l’exécution d’une reconnaissance de papier automatique le mode de fonctionnement actuel à l’aide d’un message d’état (voir à ce sujet le chapitre «Effectuer la reconnaissance du papier»). L’état est alors imprimé et contient en plus d’autres informations (par ex. la version du logiciel) dans la 3

ligne l’identification «Mode Page»

ou «Mode Ligne».

Le mode de fonctionnement normal pour l’imprimante YDP12IS est le «Mode Page». Si l’impression ne fonctionne pas, cela peut être dû au fait que l’imprimante se trouve actuellement dans le «Mode Ligne».

La commutation entre les deux modes de fonctionnement s’effectue à l’aide de la touche d’alimentation du papier «FEED».

§ Arrêter l’imprimante, appuyer sur la

touche d’alimentation du papier «FEED», remettre l’imprimante en marche en maintenant la touche «FEED» enfoncée.

§ Lorsque la DEL de contrôle rouge

clignote dans la touche «FEED», lâcher la touche «FEED».

> La DEL de contrôle s’éteint.

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la DEL de

contrôle verte clignote dans la touche «FEED», puis réappuyer aussitôt sur la touche «FEED» et la maintenir enfoncée.

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la DEL de

contrôle orange s’allume dans la touche «Feed», puis relâcher aussitôt la touche «FEED»

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la DEL de

contrôle verte s’allume dans la touche «FEED».

> L’imprimante est maintenant dans

l’autre mode de fonctionnement.

Remarque :

Si la DEL de contrôle orange s’allume dans la touche «FEED», lâcher

aussitôtaussitôt

aussitôt la touche. Si vous appuyez trop longtemps vous risquez de commuter l’imprimante dans le mode de fonctionnement «Download». Dans ce mode de fonctionnement l’imprimante ne peut être réactivée qu’en téléchargeant un micrologiciel. Dans un tel cas veuillez vous adresser à notre bureau de service après-vente.

Effectuer la reconnaissance du papier

Si vous utilisez l’imprimante comme imprimante d’étiquettes, effectuez une reconnaissance de papier afin que l’imprimante reconnaisse la fin des étiquettes.

! Si vous utilisez du papier continu,

Si l’imprimante a été utilisée avec du papier continu (par ex. sur l’isi au réglage «Line Printer») et qu’elle doit maintenant être utilisée comme imprimante d’étiquettes, vous devez auparavant effectuer une reconnaissance de papier. Pour cela mettre l’imprimante avec le papier à étiquettes inséré dans le mode de fonctionnement «Mode Ligne» afin d’effectuer la reconnaissance de papier dans ce mode de fonctionnement. Puis remettre l’imprimante dans le mode de fonctionnement «Mode Page».

Procédez de la manière suivante :

§ Mettre l’imprimante dans le mode de

fonctionnement «Mode Ligne» : Arrêter l’imprimante, appuyer sur la touche d’alimentation du papier «FEED», remettre l’imprimante en marche en maintenant la touche «FEED» enfoncée.

§ Lorsque la DEL de contrôle rouge

clignote dans la touche «FEED», lâcher la touche «FEED».

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la DEL de

contrôle dans la touche «FEED» s’éteigne puis clignote en vert, puis réappuyer aussitôt sur la touche «FEED» et la maintenir enfoncée.

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la DEL de

contrôle orange s’allume dans la touche «FEED», puis relâcher aussitôt la touche «FEED».

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la DEL de

contrôle verte s’allume dans la touche «FEED».

> L’imprimante est maintenant

commutée et se trouve dans le mode «Mode Ligne».

§ Effectuer la reconnaissance du papier :

Arrêter l’imprimante, appuyer sur la touche d’alimentation du papier «FEED», remettre l’imprimante en marche en maintenant la touche «FEED» enfoncée.

§ Lorsque la DEL de contrôle rouge

clignote dans la touche «FEED», lâcher la touche «FEED».

> L’imprimante effectue maintenant une

reconnaissance de papier.

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la

reconnaissance de papier soit terminée et que les messages d’état soient imprimés.

§ Appuyer sur la touche d’alimentation

du papier «FEED» pour faire avancer l’étiquette suivante.

> L’imprimante a effectué la

reconnaissance de papier avec succès et «sait» maintenant où commence l’étiquette suivante.

§ Remettre l’imprimante dans le mode

de fonctionnement «Mode Page». Pour cela : Arrêter l’imprimante. Appuyer sur la touche d’alimentation du papier «FEED», remettre l’imprimante en marche en maintenant la touche «FEED» enfoncée.

§ Lorsque la DEL de contrôle rouge

clignote dans la touche «FEED», lâcher la touche «FEED».

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la DEL de

contrôle dans la touche «FEED» s’éteigne puis clignote en vert, puis réappuyer aussitôt sur la touche «FEED» et la maintenir enfoncée.

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la DEL de

contrôle orange s’allume dans la touche «FEED», puis relâcher aussitôt la touche «FEED».

§ Attendre jusqu’à ce que la DEL de

contrôle verte s’allume dans la touche «FEED»

> L’imprimante est maintenant

commutée et se trouve dans le «Mode Page».

Modos de funcionamiento y reconocimiento de papel

Modos de funcionamiento de la impresora (Page Mode / Line Mode)

La impresora YDP12IS puede utilizarse en 2 modos de funcionamiento diferentes:

– Page Mode para la impresión de

etiquetas (ajuste de fábrica)

– Line Mode para imprimir en papel

cinta (empleo de papel continuo).

El usuario puede interrogar –al realizarse el reconocimiento automático de papel– el modo de funcionamiento actual, con ayuda de un mensaje de estado (ver en el párrafo “Realizar reconocimiento de papel”), que se imprime, conteniendo además de otras informaciones (como p. ej. la versión de software) la identificación “Page Mode“ o bien “Line Mode“ en la 3. línea.

El modo de funcionamiento normal para la impresora YDP12IS es “Page Mode“. En caso que no se realizara la impresión, puede ser que la impresora se encuentra, de momento, en modo “Line Mode“.

La conmutación entre ambos modos de funcionamiento se realiza con ayuda de la tecla “FEED“, para el avance del papel.

§ Apagar la impresora, pulsar la tecla

“FEED“, volver a encender la impresora y, al mismo tiempo, mantener pulsada la tecla “FEED“

§ Cuando el LED de control en la tecla

“FEED“ parpadea en color rojo, soltar la tecla “FEED“

> Se apaga el LED de control

§ Esperar, hasta que el LED de control

en la tecla “FEED“ parpadee en color verde, en este momento pulsar de inmediato nuevamente la tecla “FEED“ y mantenerla pulsada.

§ Esperar, hasta que el LED de control

en la tecla “FEED“ se ilumine en color naranja, y en este momento soltar de inmediato la tecla “FEED“

§ Esperar, hasta que el LED de control

en la tecla “FEED“ se ilumine en color verde

> La impresora ya ha conmutado

Nota:

Si el LED de control en la tecla “FEED“ parpadea en color naranja, soltar la tecla

Realizar reconocimiento de papel

Al utilizar como impresora de etiquetas, realizar un reconocimiento de papel, para que el aparato reconozca el final de etiqueta.

Si la impresora ha sido utilizada con papel continuo (p. ej. con isi y con el ajuste “Line Printer“) y si ahora ha de utilizarse como impresora de etiquetas, hay que realizar previamente un reconocimiento de papel. Para esto, con papel de etiqueta puesto, conmutar la impresora al modo de funcionamiento “Line Mode“, para realizar el reconocimiento de papel en este modo. Finalmente, conmutar la impresora de nuevo al modo de funcionamiento “Page Mode“.

Para esto, proceder de la manera siguiente:

§ Conmutar la impresora al modo de

funcionamiento “Line Mode“: apagar la impresora, pulsar la tecla “FEED“ para el avance del papel, encender de nuevo la impresora, manteniendo pulsada al mismo tiempo la tecla “FEED“.

§ Cuando el LED de control en la tecla

“FEED“ parpadea en color rojo, soltar la tecla “FEED“.

§ Esperar, hasta que el LED de control

en la tecla “FEED“ se apague y a continuación parpadee en color verde, en este momento pulsar de inmediato nuevamente la tecla “FEED“ y mantenerla pulsada.

§ Esperar, hasta que el LED en la tecla

“FEED“ papadee en color naranja y soltar en este momento de inmediato la tecla “FEED“

§ Esperar, hasta que el LED en la tecla

“FEED“ se ilumine en color verde

> La impresora ya ha conmutado y se

encuentra en el modo “Line Mode“.

§ Realizar reconocimiento de papel:

Apagar la impresora, pulsar la tecla “FEED“ para el avance del papel, encender de nuevo la impresora, y al mismo tiempo mantener pulsada la tecla “FEED“.

§ Cuando el LED de control en la tecla

“FEED“ parpadea en color rojo, soltar la tecla “FEED“

> La impresora ejecuta ahora un

reconocimiento de papel.

§ Esperar, hasta que se haya ejecutado

el reconocimiento de papel y se hayan impreso los mensajes de estado

§ Pulsar la tecla “FEED“ de avance del

papel, para avanzar la siguiente etiqueta

> La impresora ha realizado el

reconocimiento de papel con éxito y ahora “sabe“, donde comienza la próxima etiqueta.

§ Conmutar la impresora al modo de

funcionamiento “Page Mode“. Para esto: apagar la impresora. Pulsar la tecla “FEED“ de avance del papel, encender nuevamente la impresora y, al mismo tiempo, mantener pulsada la tecla “FEED“.

§ Cuando el LED en la tecla “FEED“

parpadea en color rojo, soltar la tecla “FEED“.

§ Esperar, hasta que el LED de la tecla

“FEED“ se apague y a continuación papadee en color verde, en este momento pulsar de inmediato nuevamente la tecla “FEED“ y mantenerla pulsada.

§ Esperar, hasta que el LED en la tecla

“FEED“ se ilumine en color naranja, momento en el que ha de soltarse de inmediato la tecla “FEED“.

§ Esperar, hasta que el LED en la tecla

“FEED“ se ilumine en color verde

> La impresora ya ha conmutado y se

encuentra en el modo “Page Mode“.

Modi operativi e riconoscimento della carta

Modi operativi della stampante (Page-Mode / Line-Mode)

La stampante YDP12IS può essere utilizzata in 2 modi operativi diversi:

– Page-Mode per il funzionamento come

stampante di etichette (impostazione di fabbrica)

– Line-Mode per il funzionamento come

stampante a striscia (per l’utilizzo di carta a moduli continui).

Nell’ambito dell’esecuzione di un riconoscimento automatico della carta, l’utente può richiedere il modo operativo attuale per mezzo di un messaggio di stato (vedi a riguardo la sezione «Esecuzione del riconoscimento della carta»). Lo stato viene stampato e contiene, oltre ad altre informazioni (per es. versione del software), l’identificazione «Page Mode» o «Line Mode» nella 3° riga.

Il modo operativo normale per la stampante YDP12IS è il «Page Mode». Se questa non stampa, significa che al momento la stampante si trova nel «Line Mode».

La commutazione tra i due modi operativi avviene per mezzo del tasto di alimentazione della carta «FEED».

Esecuzione del riconoscimento della carta

Per l’utilizzo come stampante di etichette, bisogna eseguire un riconoscimento della carta affinché la stampante riconosca la fine dell’etichetta.

! Per l’utilizzo della carta a moduli

Tuttavia, se la stampante segnala già dopo la stampa di poche righe un errore di fine carta (il LED di errore rosso s’illumina nel tasto «FEED»), bisogna eseguire un riconoscimento della carta con

Se la stampante è stata utilizzata con carta a moduli continui (per es. nell’isi nell’impostazione «Line Printer») ed ora dovrebbe essere impiegata come stampante di etichette, per prima cosa si deve eseguire un riconoscimento della carta. Commutare la stampante, con la carta per etichette già inserita, nel modo operativo «Line Mode» per eseguire in questo stato operativo il riconoscimento della carta. Successivamente ricommutare la stampante nel modo operativo «Page Mode».

Procedere nel seguente modo:

§ Commutare la stampante nel modo

operativo «Line Mode»: spegnere la stampante, premere il tasto «FEED», riaccendere la stampante e tenere premuto il tasto «FEED».

§ Quando il LED di controllo nel tasto

«FEED» lampeggia con luce rossa, lasciare il tasto «FEED».

§ Aspettare finché il LED di controllo

nel tasto «FEED» diventa verde

> L’operazione di commutazione della

stampante è terminata

Avvertenza:

Quando il LED di controllo nel tasto «FEED» lampeggia con luce arancione, lasciare

immediatamenteimmediatamente

immediatamente il tasto. Se il tasto viene premuto troppo a lungo, c’è il pericolo che la stampante si commuti nello stato operativo «Download». Da questo stato operativo si può richiamare la stampante solo scaricandola da un firmware. In tal caso, prego rivolgersi al Servizio Sartorius.

§ Aspettare finché il LED di controllo

nel tasto «FEED» si spegne e poi lampeggia con luce verde; ripremere subito il tasto «FEED» e tenerlo premuto.

§ Eseguire il riconoscimento della carta:

spegnere la stampante, premere il tasto «FEED», riaccendere la stampante e tenere premuto il tasto «FEED».

§ Quando il LED di controllo nel tasto

«FEED» lampeggia con luce rossa, lasciare il tasto «FEED»

> Ora la stampante esegue un

riconoscimento della carta.

§ Aspettare la fine del riconoscimento

della carta e la stampa dei messaggi di stato

§ Premere il tasto «FEED» per far

avanzare l’etichetta successiva

> La stampante ha eseguito il

riconoscimento della carta ed ora riconosce dov’è l’inizio dell’etichetta successiva.

§ Ripristinare la stampante nel modo

operativo «Page Mode»: spegnere la stampante, premere il tasto «FEED», riaccendere la stampante e tenere premuto il tasto «FEED».

§ Quando il LED di controllo nel tasto

«FEED» lampeggia con luce rossa, lasciare il tasto «FEED»

§ Aspettare finché il LED di controllo nel

tasto «FEED» si spegne e poi lampeggia con luce verde; ripremere subito il tasto «FEED» e tenerlo premuto.

§ Aspettare finché il LED di controllo nel

tasto «FEED» diventa arancione, poi lasciare subito il tasto «FEED».

§ Aspettare finché il LED di controllo nel

tasto «FEED» diventa verde

> La stampante è commutata e si trova

in «Page Mode».
